(Natural News) A man who was recently in Las Vegas for DEFCON, the world’s largest annual hacker convention, was harassed and had his room raided by law enforcement-impersonating private security goons at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, which is part of the Caesars Entertainment family of hotels and casinos.
Ben, as The Civil Rights Lawyer is calling him, was awoken out of his sleep at around 11pm on Sunday, August 14, by loud pounding on his door. He looked through the peephole and saw what appeared to be armed cops in tactical gear who ordered him to leave the room immediately.
Confused and believing the men to be law enforcement based on their militant appearance, Ben complied while his room was raided in search of firearms. It turns out the men were part of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel’s “Special Response Team,” which dresses like a SWAT team and harasses guests believed to have guns in their rooms, presumably because of the 2017 “massacre” false flag incident.
Ben, who works in cybersecurity and is heavily involved in the firearms community, had gone shooting in another nearby town prior to checking in at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. He was apparently flagged as possibly still having firearms with him that he did not check in at the front desk.
Paris Las Vegas Hotel workers waited until late at night to send a good squad up to Ben’s room to terrorize him while he was in his underwear. Does Ben have a legal case against the Paris Las Vegas Hotel?
There are multiple aspects to this incident that scream lawsuit against the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. For one, hiring private security goons and dressing them in militaristic tactical gear to make them look like law enforcement is potentially a crime – and a somewhat serious one.
Secondly, there are civil rights protections in place that, regardless of whether or not this occurred on private property, exist to protect people like Ben against this kind of terrorism and abuse.
“There may be Nevada state law protections at play, but it’s difficult to implicate federal civil rights protections,” says The Civil Rights Lawyer. “That would require a bit of legal gymnastics. But the more I research this, after having watched this footage, I think there are some possibilities.”
“There are actually quite a few cases out there discussing private hotel security and constitutional rights. Many of these arise out of criminal cases. There are actually cases where federal courts have attributed state action, and Fourth Amendment violations, to private hotel security.”
Such cases typically involve the question of suppression of evidence in criminal cases, and a case could be made out of this incident that if private security searches a hotel room and the police arrive, “there may be a sufficient connection to establish state action by the private security.”
On the other hand, the behavior of Paris Las Vegas Hotel workers and the way they terrorized this man, a paying customer, late at night while posing as police officers could warrant a legal case against the facility and its owners.
“Las Vegas is the one place I have never had a desire to visit,” wrote a commenter about the story. “There is nothing even remotely tempting to draw me there that I can’t find somewhere else.”

(Natural News) Over four hundred pro-LGBT Republican personalities have reportedly signed a letter urging GOP senators to support HR 8404 or the so-called “Respect for Marriage Act” (RFMA), which would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and require the federal government to recognize the validity of same-sex marriages in the United States.
The bill aims to federally recognize any marriage lawfully performed by any state, and force every state to recognize any marriage between two individuals without regard for the sex, race, ethnicity or national origin of those individuals. The bill also opens the door to federal recognition of polygamy as it would compel the federal government to recognize any new union a state comes up with, such as a marriage of more than two people.
In July, 47 Republicans joined bill sponsor Rep. Jerry Nadler and other Democrats in Congress to pass it by a vote of 267-157. This had a green light from House Republican leaders Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise. Meanwhile, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell declined to declare his public position on the legislation until Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced a decision on bringing it to the floor of the evenly-divided Senate.
The said legislation, which is bound to be voted on in the Senate at the end of September, is now driving the Republican Party and its conservative base into different directions just two months before the midterm elections.
“With the bill’s ultimate fate coming down to whether 10 GOP senators can be convinced to join all 50 Democrats in clearing the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold, the group called Freedom for All Americans is circulating a letter in support of the bill, signed by 400 current and former GOP political personalities,” reported Calvin Freiburger of LifeSiteNews.
“As Republicans and conservatives, we believe strong families and lasting relationships strengthen communities, and civil marriage is fundamental freedom central to individual liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We stand with the 71 percent of Americans today, including a majority of registered Republicans, who support the freedom to marry for all Americans,” the letter stated.
“We call on the U.S. Senate to pass the Respect for Marriage Act and reaffirm that marriage for gay and lesbian couples is settled law. Passing the bill will remove any uncertainty for the more than one million Americans who are building families, taking on the responsibilities and commitment associated with marriage, and caring for the one they love.”
Democrats need a total of 10 GOP defections to clear the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold. Senators Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Thom Tillis and Rob Portman have implied to support the bill. Senator Ron Johnson appeared to be supportive until he began to backtrack in response to pressure from the conservative media and pro-family groups. Churches, Christian ministries appeal to Senate to junk RFMA
A Christian legal defense group sent a letter to speak for 2,000 pastors, ministers of faith and leaders of religious non-profit organizations to appeal to the Senate to oppose RFMA.
According to the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) letter, the act puts churches and ministries in danger of injustice simply because they hold a biblical definition of marriage as the union between one man and one woman.
ADF added that RFMA will allow other groups to file lawsuits against Christian ministries that provide services in concert with state governments, such as foster care. If passed, it would also require all states to recognize any one state’s definition of marriage no matter what that definition may be, including polygamous situations or relationships of adults with minors. Congress would also authorize the Internal Revenue Service to strip the tax-exempt status from a church or Christian ministry that holds a biblical view of marriage if RFMA is passed.
“Since the Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision, we have continued to see attacks on people of faith for adhering to their religious beliefs about marriage – just as the justices who dissented predicted,” ADF senior counsel Ryan Tucker said in a statement, adding it would only further hostility against churches and ministries and millions of Americans who hold decent and honorable beliefs about marriage.
The Obergefell v. Hodges decision, decided by a 5-4 vote in 2015, has recognized the right to same-sex marriage and prohibited state laws banning same-sex unions.
The group pointed out that the act “aims to shut down any disagreement, silencing those with the long-held conviction that marriage between one man and one woman is essential to human flourishing, a view that has existed from the dawn of time.”

(Natural News) A resident of a locked-down compound in China’s Guizhou province appealed to the outside world for help and exposed attempts by some entities to take advantage of the lockdowns against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) to make money.
A woman who went by the pseudonym Ms. Zhang said the lockdown caused many to starve. Zhang, who lives in the Huaguoyuan community in the southwestern Chinese province, also pointed to the government’s disregard of the food shortage there.
According to the Epoch Times, Huaguoyuan is China’s largest shantytown renovation project. The area spanning 1,000 hectares and 311 high-rise buildings is divided into roughly 20 zones. Huaguoyuan is home to 40,500 businesses and 450,000 residents – including Zhang.
The lockdown imposed on Huaguoyuan since Sept. 3, alongside the draconian measures that accompanied it, triggered over 1,000 residents of the community’s M Zone to gather at the lobbies of the apartment. The Sept. 10 protest – held on the same day as the Mid-Autumn Festival – demanded an end to the tyrannical lockdown measures and food supplies from the government.
Law enforcement response to the protests at Huaguoyuan was swift, however. State-run outlet China News confirmed that 400 police officers were mobilized to the community on Sept. 11 at 11:30 p.m. to suppress the gatherings. According to the outlet, the officers “assembled instantly and rushed to Huaguoyuan to carry out pandemic prevention and control work.”
“Please help us spread the information and call [the] attention [of the outside world] to the governance problems in Guiyang,” Zhang appealed, referring to the city where Huaguoyuan is located.
“Many people are starving in our place, but our posts and videos have been banned in China. On the night of our protests, two people who claimed themselves to be reporters didn’t report on our situation. Instead, they kept making calls onsite to ban and delete our live streaming.”
Zhang rebukes Huaguoyuan property managers
According to Zhang, the protests during the Mid-Autumn Festival were prompted by the actions of Homnicen Group. The property management company in charge of Huaguoyuan shut down all the elevators in the M Zone on Sept. 10.
She added that the company asked residents to keep all household garbage in front of their doors. This, in turn, caused the trash to smell bad in the hot summer weather.
Worse, Zhang revealed that Homnicen had been intercepting donations of food to the locked-down residents and reselling them after repacking.
“The property management also seized all the moon cakes and vegetables, repacked them and asked residents to pay for them … at high prices,” she said. “They set the prices casually. The Huaguoyuan resident expounded on Homnicen’s price gouging: “A bag of one cabbage, two carrots, several green peppers, two tomatoes, two eggplants, two pieces of ginger and a bulb of garlic is marked for sale for prices from 59 yuan ($8.45) to 99 yuan ($14.19).”
Homnicen’s food pack, despite being overpriced, appeared to be much better than the food supplied by the government – one bag containing a head of Chinese cabbage, an onion, two potatoes, two pieces of ginger and one bulb of garlic.
According to Zhang, Homnicen would sometimes put vegetables on the ground floors and inform residents that they can pick those up. “But they have gone bad, with leaves totally decayed and juice coming out,” she commented. “They are not edible.”
A female Homnicen staffer who did not give her name responded to the Epoch Times‘ Sept. 13 request for comment. She told the publication that the decision to shut down the elevators at Huaguoyuan’s M Zone were ordered by the local government to “control traffic volume during the pandemic.”
The Homnicen employee also noted that government employees were the ones responsible for the distribution of food supplies. She suggested that residents keep evidence of food being repacked for sale.

For example, a very mysterious virus that is being called “the tomato flu” has started to spread in India…
Doctors in India have sounded the alarm over a new virus dubbed ‘tomato flu’ that has infected dozens of children.
The infection was spotted in May in the southern state of Kerala and it is feared to be a new variant of hand, foot, and mouth disease.
There are a couple of things about this that caught my attention right away.
First of all, I think that it is very noteworthy that this has happened in India. There are more than a billion people in that nation, and many of them live in extremely overcrowded urban areas.
Secondly, this is yet another disease that causes sores on the skin. In fact, the sores can actually grow until they are “the size of a tomato”…
The infection gained its name because it causes an ‘eruption’ of red painful blisters across patients’ bodies that ‘gradually enlarge to the size of a tomato’.
Most patients also suffer high fever and intense joint pain, but fatigue, sickness and diarrhoea have also been reported.
Could you imagine having sores that grow to be the size of tomatoes all over your body?
I get grossed out just thinking about that.
We are being told that this disease appears to be “very contagious”, and at this point there is no known cure…
There is currently no test or treatment for the virus.
Medics say all patients should be isolated for five to seven days from symptom onset and told to rest, drink plenty of fluids and take paracetamol.
Right now, authorities have no idea where this disease came from or why it has suddenly erupted.
And that should deeply concern all of us.
Meanwhile, three people have already died in Tanzania from an outbreak of a disease known as “leptospirosis”…
A deadly outbreak of an unknown disease in Tanzania has been identified as leptospirosis, health officials said.
More than 20 cases, including three deaths, have been reported in the southern Lindi region, with patients exhibiting symptoms similar to Ebola or Marburg virus diseases — fever, headache, fatigue and bleeding, especially from the nose, according to health officials. Preliminary results from laboratory testing earlier this month had ruled out Ebola and Marburg viruses as well as COVID-19, making the illness a mystery — until now.
Since this particular outbreak is limited to a particular geographic area, hopefully it can be contained.
Because this is a disease that doesn’t sound fun at all. The following information about leptospirosis comes from the CDC…

Without treatment, Leptospirosis can lead to kidney damage, meningitis (inflammation of the membrane around the brain and spinal cord), liver failure, respiratory distress, and even death.
The Democratic Republic of Congo is investigating a suspected case of Ebola in its violence-wracked east, the World Health Organization said Saturday, just weeks after the end of a previous epidemic.
The DRC early last month declared its latest Ebola outbreak over, more than two months after the virus re-emerged in the northwestern Equateur province.
There were four confirmed cases and one probable case—all of whom died—in what WHO said was the country’s 14th outbreak since the disease was discovered there in 1976.
The good news is that Ebola has never spread very easily among humans.
So we have never seen a true global outbreak of the disease.
But we didn’t think that there would ever be a true global outbreak of monkeypox, and now thousands upon thousands of people are deeply suffering all over the world.
Authorities can’t seem to explain why monkeypox has changed so dramatically.
And they also can’t seem to explain why so many strange diseases have been suddenly breaking out all over the globe this year.
Even here in the United States, really weird things are happening. For instance, we just learned that an 8-year-old boy in Nebraska was just killed by a “brain-eating amoeba”…
An 8-year-old boy has died in Nebraska after reportedly becoming infected with the brain-eating amoeba. If confirmed, this would be the first case in the state ever recorded and suggests the Naegleria fowleri is expanding further north in the U.S.
The boy, Easton Gray, was likely exposed to the amoeba when he went swimming in the Elkhorn River near Valley—a community located west of Omaha—on August 8, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
(Natural News) Amid the new war that has broken out just this week over Joe Biden’s decision when he took office to trash all of President Trump’s border security measures like Remain-in-Mexico and the border wall construction, an interesting detail has emerged.
Martha’s Vineyard, that expensive locale where houses cost upward of a million dollars and residents are wealthy enough to fund them, reacted with demands that 50 illegal aliens delivered to that location by a program set up by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to have other parts of the U.S. share the burden of millions of illegals arriving annually, that they leave.
Immediately.
Buses were summoned and within a few hours, they were taken away.
But a report from Fox News points out that only a year ago, Keith Chastinover, a progressive county commissioner for Dukes County, where Martha’s Vineyard is located, said the highly exclusive area should be a haven for illegals.
In fact, he said he would “love” to see that happen.
“I would love Martha’s Vineyard to become a haven for new immigrants to this country, but Senator Cruz has no idea what he’s talking about regarding a ‘border crisis,’” Chatinover said at the time.
He was expressing his own liberal spin while responding to Cruz’ push for a bill that would make Democrat-led areas like Martha’s Vineyard ports of entry to processing migrants.
When those few dozen immigrants actually arrived, state Rep. Dylan Fernandes, a Democrat, claimed the move was “incredibly inhumane.”
He, like other Democrats there, insisted that the migrants would need to be moved to an “off-Island location.”
Chatinover, in fact, still supported being a “haven,” but blamed DeSantis for doing everything in the situation wrong.
DeSantis press secretary Bryan Griffin noted the resistance to taking a portion of the burden of the millions of illegals Biden’s policies have allowed into the U.S. since he took office.
“The left’s outrage not being directed at the border policies incentivizing human smuggling and dangerous treks across Central America — but at chartered flights to their own doorstep — speaks volumes,” he said.
At The Federalist, a report noted Cruz was pointing out the irony in the change in attitude, from desiring to be a haven, to calling 40 immigrants a “crisis.”

(Natural News) A week ago, Americans of all political persuasions were shocked — and many appalled and outraged — when armed FBI agents stormed Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump’s world-famous resort and private home.
For over nine hours, federal officers tore through the 128-room building and even the former first lady’s closets, prohibiting any witnesses and even demanding that security cameras be turned off.
In the aftermath of the highly questionable raid, conservatives and Trump supporters expressed their fury. The general consensus was clear: If the FBI can attack a former president who is both highly popular and expected to run again, then it could be coming after you — the voters who support him — next.
Left-wing media outlets lambasted the rhetoric and blamed the former president himself in the same manner that they falsely accuse Trump regarding the so-called Jan. 6 “insurrection.”
Since the Jan. 6 protesters collectively seemed to have forgotten to bring their firearms to this insurrection, liberal publications like Time magazine have modified their narrative to the theater of the absurd, now declaring, “The mob that attacked the Capitol … began engaging in hand-to-hand combat with law enforcement.”
If Time magazine had its way, we would all believe that Trump, a supposed fascist super-villain full of wily schemes, has a rag-tag army of millions of red MAGA hat-wearing Bruce Lees and Jackie Chans ready to overthrow the government with their mastery of martial arts. (And the legacy media outlets just can’t seem to understand why their ratings are plummeting…)
But is it so crazy to believe that conservative Americans are in danger from a politicized Department of Justice and inexplicably militarized federal agencies?
James O’Keefe and Project Veritas — who have also been questionably targeted by the FBI — published an official memo circulated within the Department of Homeland Security on Friday warning of a “heightened threat of domestic violent extremists.” And who are these “violent extremists,” according to the DHS?
The document states that they are American citizens “motivated by a range of ideologies,” including “the perception that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent, and other claims of government overreach.” The memo also refers to the upcoming 2022 midterm elections as “a potential flashpoint.” (But don’t worry about O’Keefe or Project Veritas. Legacy media outlets like The New York Times have assured us that they are nothing more than “political spies” and “pranksters.”)
The American people need to understand the ramifications of this DHS memo (and previous documents that echo the same sentiment).
According to an Axios poll (certainly not a conservative source), only 55 percent of Americans believe that Joe Biden legitimately won the presidential election of 2020. That means that the DHS has indicated that 45 percent of the population of the United States harbors the ideology of “violent extremists.”
The concept that the DHS believes nearly half of all American citizens to be a dangerous threat is a nightmare of Orwellian proportions.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party is celebrating the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act — a bill that has little to nothing to do with inflation. Instead, one part of the bill calls for the expansion of the Internal Revenue Service by over 87,000 employees, including armed agents.
To put that into perspective, the increase of the IRS is well over four times greater than the entire Border Patrol — a federal agency that is completely overrun with real threats like drug smugglers, human traffickers and an uncontrolled influx of illegal immigrants… all due to Biden’s disastrous border policies.
Conservative concerns about the IRS are more than founded. We have seen this story before during President Barack Obama’s second term. Conservative Tea Party groups were blatantly targeted by the IRS, making it difficult for them to operate.
This trend was so disturbing that even Piers Morgan defined it as “vague tyranny” and all but apologized to Second Amendment advocates for his mocking criticism of their position that a constitutionally armed citizenry is vital to ensuring the ongoing freedom of the population. (When Piers Morgan is the voice of reason acknowledging the tyrannical demise of America, we are in some serious trouble.)
Throughout the Obama administration, federal agencies stockpiled weapons and ammunition — all while Democratic politicians screamed that the population must be deprived of their own constitutionally protected armaments. For instance, in 2014 the Department of Agriculture inexplicably sought to purchase .40-caliber submachine guns with burst capabilities as well as over 300,000 hollow-point rounds (which aren’t even used by the U.S. armed forces due to international law).
Why does the USDA — an agency that regulates such activities as farming and dairy production — need weapons and ammunition commonly used for crowd control and urban warfare? They didn’t say, just like the Postal Service and even the Social Security Administration didn’t explain why they were seeking to bolster their own stockpile of ammunition.
The “Inflation Reduction Act” adds over $700,000 worth of bullets to the present IRS stockpile of 5 million. Unlike local police departments that are often railed on by radical leftists, these federal agencies have no accountability or vested interest in the communities they serve; their loyalty is to the political power presently in control of the executive branch.
But the granddaddy of them all is the Department of Homeland Security. During Obama’s second term, the DHS — which only operates on American soil — began the process of acquiring over 1.6 billion rounds, including both hollow points and sniper ammunition. That’s enough armament for DHS agents to shoot every man, woman and child in America… up to five times.
Are we facing a repeat (but even worse) of Obama’s tyrannical methodology?
Keep in mind that a politically motivated IRS audit would allow the federal government to scrutinize an individual citizen’s finances, including contributions to conservative politicians and/or PACs. And if the IRS declares that an individual has aided “insurrectionists” and “violent extremists,” or accuses (excessively or even falsely) an American citizen of tax evasion, those are crimes that allow for armed raids, arrests, imprisonment and the revocation of key constitutional rights, including the rights to vote and own firearms.
Does this sound far-fetched? It shouldn’t; this is exactly what is being done to Trump and his allies.
For weeks now, a one-sided congressional committee has been “investigating” the notion that Trump is a “treasonous leader of an insurrection.” And Democratic New York state prosecutors have been tearing apart the Trump Organization and its officers (with Trump himself being the ultimate target) on dubious accusations of tax evasion that even The New York Times admits are weak and “highly unusual,” which lends credence to Trump’s resounding refrain of “legal witch hunts.”
So we must ask ourselves a very serious question: If conservatives were targeted before by Obama and the IRS, if Trump and his allies like Paul Manafort and Gen. Michael Flynn were hounded endlessly all throughout his presidency, and if Trump and others are still shamelessly targeted by a politically motivated DOJ (that conveniently ignores known offenders like Hillary Clinton, Hunter Biden and Jeffrey Epstein’s clients), then are we as conservative Americans next on the list?
But don’t ask this question too loud. The DHS — with its stockpile of literally billions of bullets — has made it alarmingly clear that expressing such fear about “government overreach” as well as concern about the future of our great and free nation is the sign of a very dangerous person: a “violent domestic extremist.”
