Former NBA Star Rick Fox is Backing a Startup to Make Concrete That Absorbs More CO2 Than it Creates

Rick Fox

If someone asked you what Rick Fox was famous for, you would have to say the three NBA Championships he won with the Lakers, but the next generation might know him instead as the face of sustainable concrete.

Believing that tropical storms are becoming more intense due to carbon content in the atmosphere, Fox went all in and became the Founder of Partanna which manufactures concrete that absorbs more carbon from the air than it contributes during manufacturing.

It all happened back in 2019 when Fox received a call from his manager just after Hurricane Dorian smashed into Fox’s home on the Bahamas, the country where he grew up. His manager, who was also displaced by a natural disaster—the fires in California in 2018, said she had met an architect called Sam Marshall who was developing carbon-negative concrete.

Fox, whose post-NBA career has included dozens of acting credits, as well as production work, and even the sponsoring of an esports team, was nevertheless able to find time to team up with Marshall to launch Partanna. The firm just received $12 million in seed funding from Cherubic Ventures.

“I’ve been a part of a lot of amazing journeys and industries, from entertainment to movies and TV. I’ve been on sets with Oscar-winning actors and directors, and I’ve been on championship NBA teams. There’s been nothing more rewarding for me in my life than to be a part of this team where we’re leaving something behind,” Fox told TechCrunch+, reporting on the funding announcement.

Every part of the concrete process is designed to reduce its environmental impact.

Instead of using Portland cement, which is a major source of carbon emissions, they use a special mixture of natural and recycled ingredients that’s cured at ambient temperature rather than the high temps that make concrete and cement responsible for the largest share of the manufacturing emissions pie chart.

The binder components consume CO2 as they cure, which means they actually remove carbon from the atmosphere. They use a brine activator that’s found in natural pozzolans, which helps avoid using the energy-intensive clinkering process.

A prototype Partanna home

What this means for the bottom line is that a 1,250 square-foot home made with Partanna absorbs 22.5 tons of CO2, rather than emitting 77 tons, which is what a house that large would otherwise do.

Fox sees Partanna as offering the most to those in disaster-prone areas—such as his native Bahamas, where Partanna and the Government of the Bahamas announced their intent to develop the world’s first carbon-negative affordable housing development.

“Convincing the industry that Partanna is a viable alternative to cement—we hope that the successful delivery of homes in The Bahamas, and our growing project pipeline, will help to evidence the strength of our technology,” Fox said in a statement.

Because the company captures carbon in their buildings, they started selling carbon credits—a product that companies can buy to offset the emissions from their operations. In this case, the credits are buildings for poor people in the Bahamas or Saudi Arabia—where they recently signed an agreement with development company Red Sea Global to build a manufacturing facility on Saudi’s Red Sea coast.

International Olympic Committee adds VIDEO GAMES to “e-sports” lineup: No athletic ability required

Image: International Olympic Committee adds VIDEO GAMES to “e-sports” lineup: No athletic ability required

(Natural News) Especially now that so many real athletes are dying suddenly due to Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccines” and thus can no longer participate, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is expanding its “e-sports” division to include new video game competitions for non-athletes who are really good at pressing buttons while looking at a screen.

The Olympic Esports Finals, as they are calling it, will now include the addition of Fortnite, a popular video game from which the IOC has developed a special new sharpshooting competition, which will take place on Fortnite Creative Island.

The game is said to be closer to a traditional Olympic target shooting match than it is to the normal video game, but it is still an e-sport that does not require the same level of athletic vigor that normal Olympic games like gymnastics and figure skating do.

“The addition of Fortnite to the Olympic Esports Series is part of our broader effort to foster e-sports and connect with the video game community,” the IOC said in an announcement. “This peaceful competition with a physical equivalent aligns with our goals for the future of digital sports.”

Everything is going digital – even sports

According to reports, this expansion into Fortnite aims to draw more gamers into Olympic participation, even though they are not real athletes. Many children today are too obese to even play real sports, so this is apparently their digital alternative.

“On a Fortnite Creative Island that has been specially created for the event, twelve Champion Series players will compete in a sharpshooting competition supported by the International Shooting Sport Federation,” one report explains.

“Fans may still anticipate seeing some of the greatest virtual sport shooters in action, even though conventional last-one-standing clashes and building displays won’t be there.”

The Olympic Esports Week in 2023 is scheduled to feature the first live finals of the competition, for which ticket sales have already begun. Running from June 22 to June 25, those interested in watching both children and adults play Fortnite can pay the equivalent of $7.50 for a single day or $15 for the entire three-day event.

Viewers can also watch the Fortnite players play via streaming at both and various Olympics social media platforms.

To give the IOC some credit, Fortnite and the nine other games included in the Olympic Esports Series are all designed to closely match the real-world sports that are overseen by international federations. Other games include Just Dance, Gran Turismo racing, Zwift cycling, and web chess.

All of this stems from the “pandemic,” of course, which is when the so-called Olympic Virtual series, featuring five virtual sports, was first unveiled in 2021. Since everyone was stuck at home due to government lies and fearmongering, the IOC came up with a digital alternative.

“I grew up on the Atari 800 and NES. I still play video games today. My current avatar is from Final Fantasy. And I will say this: There is no such thing as ‘esports,’” one commenter wrote in response to the news. “VIDEO GAMES ARE NOT SPORTS.”

“Can’t wait to hear how all the second-tier men not good enough to make it on the men’s team compete as women breaking all their records and taking home the gold,” joked another about the potential transgender invasion of Olympic e-sports. “I won’t be watching.”

“It’s a bit like claiming that gambling or bowling is a sport,” wrote another about the lunacy of trying to turn video games into “sports.”

MEDICAL FASCISM GONE WILD: WHO plans to launch Global Digital Health Certificate that will demand compliance with all vaccines and lockdowns

Image: MEDICAL FASCISM GONE WILD: WHO plans to launch Global Digital Health Certificate that will demand compliance with all vaccines and lockdowns

(Natural News) Governments across the globe attempted to control the public by enforcing mass vaccination and vaccine passports at the height of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Now, the World Health Organization (WHO) is planning to implement a Global Digital Health Certificate. The implementation of the digital health certificate is among the 307 amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) proposed by 94 member nations of the WHO.

The proposed amendments to the IHR are a completely different set of proposals to the “Pandemic Treaty.” Amendments to the IHR were adopted in 2022 without Senate/Parliament confirmation. These amendments could easily be adopted in the same manner.

Report hints at implementation of Global Digital Health certification network

The World Health Assembly (WHA) will hold a meeting from May 21-30. In preparation for the upcoming meeting, attendees have been uploading documents, including a progress report called “Report O.”

The report states that there are plans to implement a Global Digital Health certification network.

In an episode of Steve Bannon’s “War Room,” James Roguski warned that while the Global Digital Health Certificate is on “a voluntary basis,” the authorities are currently building the infrastructure necessary to “track and trace everybody on the planet.”

Additionally, building these systems takes time and money, suggesting that they won’t be “voluntary” for long, warned Roguski. (Related: Ashish Jha, Biden’s new COVID-19 Coordinator, wants everyone to have “vaccine passports.”)

Considering the context that Indonesian Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin referred to the Global Digital Health Certification at the 2022 B20 Summit, it seems unlikely that the measure will be on a “voluntary basis.”

Indonesia’s presidency of the G20 began on December 1, 2021. By November 2022, Sadikin flaunted Indonesia’s achievements during its G20 presidency at the B20 Summit. B20 is the official forum for G20 dialogue with the global business community.

This organization is one of many blurring the lines between public and private interests. It attempts to push the world closer to the ideology of a world controlled by unelected businessmen who will make sure that they cannot be held accountable as they manipulate government policies to maximize profits without a care for the cost to human life, liberty or rights.

At the B20 Summit, Sadikin told B20 attendees that Indonesia must invest in “emergency medical countermeasures” and the “business opportunities” this creates.

“What are the business opportunities for you? Then business for emergency medical countermeasures which is diagnostic, vaccine, therapeutics or medicine will grow very, very fast globally,” said Sadikin.

Sasha Latypova, head of investigative group Team Enigma, highlighted the word “countermeasures” in her research.

When talking about what was marketed to the public as “COVID vaccines,” Latypova said that the Department of Defense (DoD) ordered “demonstrations” from pharmaceutical companies using the same secretive framework they use to order weapons.

“No pharmaceutical regulation applies to countermeasures,” Latypova warned.

Sadikin floats the idea of a global surveillance system

Sadikin also tried to sell the idea of a global surveillance system using the language of a warlike footing, while emphasizing potential business opportunities. Sadikin talked about the enemy, which is not a human being, but pathogens that “need surveillance system like when you are being attacked by alien out of the country.”

He said all countries will likely link all radar systems to improve surveillance “if the enemy is coming from outside the planet.” Similar to that, Sadikin said the world needs to “strengthen and link our radar systems for [a] pathogen.”

If there is another pandemic, Sadikin said stopping the spread of the virus requires limiting, not stopping the movement of the people through a “digital health certificate, acknowledged by the WHO.”

Biden has knowledge of Hunter's business dealings, 2011 emails indicate

Image: Biden has knowledge of Hunter’s business dealings, 2011 emails indicate

(Natural News) America should know by now that President Joe Biden is a notorious liar. He has lied about the election, inflation, the state of U.S. economy and many other social, political and economic issues.

So it’s not exactly surprising to find out that he was also lying when he said in 2019 that he never spoke to his son, Hunter Biden, about the latter’s business dealings.

Emails from nearly a dozen years ago revealed that the younger Biden had in fact arranged a meeting between his business associates and his father, then a vice president in the Barack Obama administration. (Related: Business associates viewed Hunter Biden as pipeline to Obama administration, researcher says.)

According to emails and White House visitor logs reviewed by Fox News, Joe appeared to have met with several business associates of his son in 2011.

At the time, Hunter and his business partner, Rosemont Seneca Partners co-founder Devon Archer, were in the works to secure a lucrative deal worth billions of dollars with Sean Conlon, the future CNBC “The Deed” co-host and founder of Conlon & Co.

In June 2011, Conlon forwarded a business proposal from energy executive David Gamperl promising “substantial profits” to Hunter and Archer if a meeting with Joe could take place.

The proposal involved the since-dissolved Mercantile Investment Group, which requested Joe to “formally meet” Conlon’s associates Andre Lasserre and Xi Wang.

“So we have engagement letter if they get other 10 bonds they have a face value of [$]10B,” Conlon wrote in the June 2011 email. “While it is far fetched, Devon said he talked to his professor and these get traded. We get 10 percent in fees. We need to get these guys to an event or something where they get to just formally meet your dad. For follow on they can talk to [Joe’s] chief of staff. Let me know how soon we can do that. [Very] brief. If Nagi gets that done we get more bonds to move.”

Conlon denied any knowledge of the email. “I know absolutely nothing about that,” he told Fox News.

Hunter doesn’t want to be left out in important meetings

Hunter actually shot down the idea of them meeting with his father, saying he would meet Conlon’s associates himself.

“WTF is he talking about. Mtg with JRB chief of staff????” wrote Hunter, replying only to Archer.

“I guess,” Archer responded. “I don’t think he understands how this works. I will advise him to stand down.”

Nagi Ghawi, then-chairman/president of Mercantile Investment Group, told Conlon in another email that Lasserre and Wang were in Washington, D.C., and it was “extremely crucial and extremely urgent” to set up a meeting with them and “the chief of staff or VP.”

But Hunter again shot down a meeting proposal after Conlon forwarded that email to him.

“Sorry buddy not a chance in hell either is happening,” Hunter wrote. “Anyone who enters WH for a meeting has to be vetted by Secret Service and WH legal team, which typically takes about one week – longer for a foreign national [like Wang]. I can meet with them myself but the other is not happening.”

Days later, Hunter met with Gamperl. A week after that meeting, Gamperl met with Joe’s Deputy Chief of Staff Alan Hoffman on July 3, 2011 at an unknown location. According to reports, Lasserre was also present at the meeting.

Weeks later, Hunter had secured a meeting between Hoffman, Gamperl, Lasserre and even Wang, according to White House visitor logs.

Paul Kamenar, counsel to the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), told Fox News that Hunter likely violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) by arranging that meeting.

“If this person or persons met with Biden at the behest of his son, Hunter, and Hunter somehow was being paid directly or indirectly to arrange that meeting, then we would argue that, yes, he would have to register as a foreign agent of that foreign entity,” Kamenar said. “It strains credulity to think that his dad is totally clueless of what his son’s up to,” he added.

Joe Biden pleaded ignorance on multiple occasions regarding his son’s business dealings.

“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden said to Fox News reporter Peter Doocy on the campaign trail in Iowa in 2019. “You should be looking at Trump. Trump’s doing this because he knows I’ll beat him like a drum. Everybody’s looked at it and said there’s nothing there. Ask the right question.”

Doocy did ask the right question. Unfortunately, Joe didn’t intend to give a truthful answer about the issue.

State of California Found Guilty of Gross Human Rights Violations

As I noted in my last post, the California state Reparations Task Force recently convened and published a document titled Meeting Materials. Chapter 16 of this document addresses California’s notorious eugenics program. As is noted on page 2 of the Chapter:

In 2003, the Legislature, Governor Gray Davis, and Attorney General Bill Lockyer all issued formal apologies for the 1909-1979 eugenics sterilization program that forcibly sterilized patients in state hospitals and homes without true consent.

On page three, the Task Force states that the State of California is responsible “for the perpetration of gross human rights violations” by performing thousands of forced sterilizations. A key element of the State’s culpability is, according to the Task Force, the lack of informed consent of the victims of the eugenics program.

It seems to me that the Task Force’s findings provide a precedent for a civil action against the State of California for mandating that health care workers receive the COVID-19 injections in order to retain their jobs.

Plaintiffs attorneys practicing in California should also investigate the likelihood that thousands of California residents were pressured to get the injections without informed consent.

Of special interest is the FDA’s approval document for the Pfizer-BioNTech Cormirnaty vaccine, issued on November 8, 2021, which (on page 23) explicitly warns about the elevated risk of myocarditis-pericarditis as follows.

Post-EUA safety surveillance reports received by FDA and CDC identified serious risks for myocarditis and pericarditis following administration of COMIRNATY. Reporting rates for medical chart-confirmed myocarditis/pericarditis in VAERS have been higher among males under 40 years of age than among females and older males and have been highest in males 12-17 years of age (65 cases per million doses administered as per CDC communication on August 20, 2021), particularly following the second dose, and onset of symptoms within 7 days following vaccination. Although some cases of vaccine associated myocarditis/pericarditis required intensive care support, available data from short-term follow up suggest that most individuals have had resolution of symptoms with conservative management. Information is not yet available about potential long-term sequelae and outcomes in affected individuals. A mechanism of action by which the vaccine could cause myocarditis and pericarditis has not been established. These safety findings of increased risk for myocarditis/pericarditis led to warning in section 5.2 Warning and Precautions of the PI.

I suspect that VERY FEW people in California who were pressured to receive the shots (in order to retain their jobs) were informed of this warning in the regulatory approval document.
