In Florida, the last three hurricanes arrived with such precision and destruction that many now believe the government is WEAPONIZING weather

Hurricanes and tropical storms have been hitting Florida and other nearby states and islands since the beginning of time, but are all of these major weather events really natural occurrences?

According to State of the Nation, the three most recent hurricanes to devastate Florida were “geoengineered superstorms designed to inflict maximum damage on a targeted coastline.”

Whether intentional to cause damage or simply an experiment to see how their newfangled weather weapons work, Florida’s most recent storms appear to be military operations “using different techniques and / or progressively increasing power as a barbaric test on both environment and people.”

State of the Nation is confident declaring this because each of the past three major hurricanes to hit Florida shows “hallmark signatures of a manufactured frankenstorm that is quite obviously steered and intensified at just the right time to catch the victimized communities completely off guard.”

“The only exception is the currently active Hurricane Idalia as it careens through the eastern Florida Panhandle. While there seems to be no last-minute trick to this mega-hurricane so far, it was quite quickly and methodically intensified into a Cat 4 and aimed at the single most vulnerable coastline in Florida.”

(Related: Hurricane Ian brought with it massive destruction of Florida’s citrus crop.)

Weather manipulators timed Hurricane Dora to feed the flames of the Lahaina disaster

Before Idalia, it was Hurricane Ian that hit Southwest Florida last September. Before that it was Hurricane Michael, which devastated Florida in October of 2018.

Brighteon.TV

Then there is Hurricane Ivan, which hit the Pensacola area in September of 2004, and the infamous Hurricane Andrew, which wrecked the coastline south of Miami back in 1992.

Whether all of these hurricanes were geoengineered weather weapons or not, there are certainly questions that deserve answers pertaining to the pinpointed devastation that seemed to occur.

With the exception of Andrew, which may have occurred before the advent of weather manipulation, Idalia, Ian, and Michael all tracked in such a way that some are convinced they were geoengineered.

Then we have what State of the Nation calls the “brazen geoterrorist attack on Maui,” which involved the use of directed energy weapons (DEWs). That incident occurred at the same time as Hurricane Dora, which “fed the flames of the arson-triggered firestorms that burned down Lahaina.”

“Those high winds gave the NOW (new world order) pyroterrorists plausible deniability, which has served them well in light of so much hard evidence of a full-blown, military-conducted geoterrorism operation throughout Maui on that fateful Tuesday, August 8, 2023.”

Considering Idalia struck an area that has not seen a storm this large since the late 1800s, it is especially suspicious – that and the fact that the storm caused a large oak tree in front of the governor’s mansion to split in half and fall on the house while Gov. Ron DeSantis and his family were inside.

Was Idalia and the wreckage it caused intentional or just a coincidence? Was the storm an act of God or was it an intentional act of geoengineered weather manipulation and warfare against the people of Florida?

“Of course, the chaos and confusion from an overwhelming wind storm on a highly exposed island or coastal community provide further cover for the terrorists to commit all manner of sabotage and damage,” State of the Nation further stressed.

“If they can take out a whole town in a flash like the NWO perps did in Maui, why do folks not see the same pattern with the unrelenting weather warfare directed at the Freedom State of Florida?!”

In private, Mark Zuckerberg admitted that mRNA covid jabs “basically modify people’s DNA and RNA — but on Facebook, he censored doctors and scientists for sharing this truth

Damning new information has come to light showing a major disparity between what Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was saying in private about Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccines” during the “pandemic” and what he and his company were doing publicly to censor users who attempted to tell the deadly truth about them.

Early on before Operation Warp Speed had even been launched and the jabs were still just being talked about by then-President Donald Trump as a soon-to-come “cure” for the Fauci Flu, Zuckerberg told Facebook executives in a private meeting that they needed to be cautious about mRNA injections because “we just don’t know the long-term side effects of basically modifying people’s DNA and RNA.”

You can watch a video clip, as retrieved by Project Veritas, of Zuckerberg uttering these words below:

#1 Mark Zuckerberg privately told Facebook execs to be cautious about mRNA vaccines because “we just don’t know the long-term side effects of basically modifying people’s DNA and RNA.”

He then censored scientists, doctors, and mRNA vaccine-injured individuals. pic.twitter.com/IEN8nyNSFX

— KanekoaTheGreat (@KanekoaTheGreat) July 6, 2023

As Zuckerberg was expressing these concerns internally, his Facebook social media platform was actively censoring and blocking doctors, scientists, and even mRNA jab-injured individuals from saying many of the same things that Zuckerberg was saying internally.

(Related: Back in May, we reported that Facebook censored a censorship report that names the company 31 times as an offender against free speech and the First Amendment.)

Zuckerberg approached Fauci to share “ideas of ways we could help you get your message out”

Not only is Zuckerberg a hypocrite on this matter, but he also played an active role in supporting the spread of Tony Fauci’s disinformation and lies about the jabs across his social media platform.

“I wanted to send a note of thanks for your leadership and everything you’re doing to make our country’s response to this outbreak as effective as possible,” Zuckerberg wrote in an email to Fauci dated March 15, 2020. “I also wanted to share a few ideas of ways we could help you get your message out, but I understand you’re incredibly busy, so don’t feel a need to reply unless these seem interesting.”

“This isn’t public yet, but we’re building a Coronavirus Information Hub that we’re going to put at the top of Facebook for everyone (200+ million Americans, 2.5 billion people worldwide.”

That Coronavirus Information Hub, we now know, played a big part in keeping a lid on the truth, which was not allowed to spread on Facebook due to Zuckerberg’s influence.

After it became obvious that many people were becoming seriously injured or dying from the Operation Warp Speed drug injections, Zuckerberg banned numerous vaccine injury support groups that had hundreds of thousands of members, claiming that their jab injuries constituted “malinformation.”

Zuckerberg also banned George Hu’s vaccine injury support group specifically after Hu, a software engineer who created Washington’s Covid Vaccine website, developed tinnitus after getting jabbed.

“Some people think this is misinformation, but this is the truth,” Hu said at the time. “It is actually happening.”

Zuckerberg further bragged to Joe Rogan that Facebook censored the Hunter Biden laptop story in the lead-up to the stolen 2020 election based on a request from the FBI.

“This is tantamount to rigging a U.S. presidential election that was determined by only 44,000 votes in three swing states,” noted KanekoaTheGreat in a tweet.

Zuckerberg also funneled $440 million into a phony non-profit group called CTCL that then handed the money over to government election officials to engage in election and voter fraud.

Many of the figureheads who publicly supported and pushed covid injections were worried about or opposed to them in private. Learn more at Deception.news.

Chinese military may have been in possession of COVID-19 bioweapons much earlier than thought, scientist says – NaturalNews.com

Chinese military may have been in possession of COVID-19 bioweapons much earlier than thought, scientist says

A leading vaccine scientist has uncovered evidence suggesting that the Chinese military may have actually had the COVID-19 virus months earlier than previously believed.

Writing in The Epoch Times, Dr. Joe Wang noted that in a report titled “Potential Links Between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the Origin of the COVID-19 Pandemic,” released by Office of the Director of National Intelligence on June 23, there was little new information for someone like him who has been closely monitoring this matter. However, on page 5, a noteworthy revelation emerged from the report: the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) had apparently developed a technique that effectively eliminated any discernible genetic modifications in SARS-like coronaviruses, leaving behind no detectable traces.

“Some of the WIV’s genetic engineering projects on coronaviruses involved techniques that could make it difficult to detect intentional changes,” the report said.

The motivation behind the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s (WIV) pursuit of such a technique remains a subject of speculation. It is worth noting that scientists at the institute had indeed been openly publishing their virus-related research, including studies on the “genetic modification of SARS-like coronaviruses,” in reputable scientific journals. This suggests that they did not appear to have a desire to conceal their published work.

However, it is possible that the published research represented only a fraction of their overall scientific endeavors, leaving room for undisclosed or unpublished research. The nature and content of such unpublished research remain unknown, leaving room for speculation and further investigation, Wang continued.

Brighteon.TV

Prior to the ODNI report, investigative journalists in the United States brought to light an intriguing claim in early June. According to their findings, three researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) named Ben Hu, Ping Yu, and Yan Zhu allegedly contracted COVID-19 in the autumn of 2019, making them potentially the initial patients of the disease.

These researchers were purportedly involved in the study of SARS-like viruses and were conducting experiments related to “gain-of-function.” Gain-of-function experiments aim to modify a pathogen’s characteristics to examine its potential impact on human health. Such modifications can enhance the infectiousness or lethality of viruses, Wang noted further.

The WIV denied such allegations. “The recent news about so-called ‘patient zero’ in WIV are absolutely rumors and ridiculous,” Ben Hu told the journal Science in June.

“I was hoping that the ODNI report would shed more light on the origin of SARS-CoV-2. It didn’t, but a patent application I found through a web search strongly suggests that the Liberation Army (PLA) had the genetic sequence of the virus in its possession as early as September 2019,” Wang continued. “This would fit well with the allegation that the three WIV scientists were infected by the virus in the fall of 2019.”

Wang added that it is “worth noting that the same allegation was made by the Department of Justice in a fact sheet published Jan. 15, 2021, which said the U.S. government had ‘reason to believe that several researchers inside the WIV became sick in autumn 2019, before the first identified case of the outbreak.'”

The initial instances of the unusual pneumonia, which later became recognized as COVID-19, were documented in Wuhan in December 2019. However, the Chinese Communist Party reportedly suppressed the news around that time, as it coincided with preparations for the Lunar New Year — a period when the dissemination of negative information is typically discouraged, Wang noted.

Whistleblowers like Dr. Wenliang Li faced repercussions for their attempts to raise awareness. According to official accounts, Chinese virologists did not have an opportunity to study the novel virus until early January 2020.

Then he added: “I am a vaccine scientist who worked for one of the world’s largest vaccine companies for more than 10 years, and I spearheaded SARS-CoV-1 vaccine development in 2003. I was stunned by the speed these PLA inventors were able to not only study the new virus and develop and test a vaccine so quickly, but also put together a patent application in merely 44 days.”

China’s military unleashed this virus on the world. That much seems crystal clear now.

Top 8 realms of DISINFORMATION coming from Liberals, Leftists, and the Lobotomized “President” – NaturalNews.com

Top 8 realms of DISINFORMATION coming from Liberals, Leftists, and the Lobotomized “President”

Disinformation is purposeful misinformation and there is no doubt that the majority of it comes from the political Left in this country, which also controls the majority of all printed, online, and broadcasted information.

There are many motives for disseminating disinformation, including political, economical, social, financial, etc. It is worth noting that most of the disinformation specialists accuse those in truth media and independent media of being the ones who are spreading misinformation and disinformation, but that is mainly because truth media properly called out fake news for it for years, and this is their cover story.

In the disinformation world, it is believed that humans can barely remember anything, and that’s why it is very easy to discredit most of the fake news disinformation rather easily. Take the climate change Ponzi scheme, for example. Remember just a few years ago it was called “global warming” by everyone who ran the scam and all those who took the bait, hook-line-and-sinker.

After it was revealed by truth media, the disinformation kings had to re-brand it to “climate change” because the numbers, statistics, and “science” just did not add up… plus NASA got caught warping, fudging and faking statistics.

Disinformation Realm #1. Climate change is real, caused by humans, and thus can be fixed by humans, quickly.

Disinformation Realm #2. Males and females can switch genders via surgery and hormone pills.

Brighteon.TV

Disinformation Realm #3. Social media is real and is very important for social life, politics, and news.

Disinformation Realm #4. Mainstream media reports the truth about war, safety, and health matters.

Disinformation Realm #5. All straight white people are racists, bigots, gay-bashers, and hate all immigrants.

Disinformation Realm #6. BLM and Antifa fight for peace, equality, and human rights.

Disinformation Realm #7. Everything transgender and queer is good for humanity, teens, children, and babies.

Disinformation Realm #8. Biden won the election fair and square in 2020, but Trump cheated in 2016.

Like never before, we saw some of the worst, most violent and destructive protests on planet earth happen once Trump took office. Antifa (pro-fascist group) and BLM (Black Lives Matter so destroy everything to prove it group) took to the streets of metropolitan cities and raped, pillaged, burned, robbed, looted, beat down innocent people, killed, and attacked police everywhere.

Mass media called it “peaceful protests” and edited out as much as possible from their coverage, while sometimes we still saw burning cop cars in the background, and looted stores that ended up filing bankruptcy. For four solid years, it was the most blatant display of disinformation across all media, including social media, YouTube, and every mainstream newspaper.

Then came the scamdemic. The ultimate plandemic. The “gain of function” Fauci flu from the Wuhan lab “escaped” and fake news MSM said it all started because some folks at a wet market in China ate some infected bat meat, then got on cruise boats to Italy, San Francisco and New York. Oops. That was literally the mainstream narrative, as long as they could hold onto it. Talk about disinformation.

Then came the masks, the lockdowns, the social distancing, and the deadly, dirty clot shots. The disinformation campaign is a war on information, and it’s turning Americans into brainwashed zombies, just like the fake and lobotomized Resident Biden. Take heed. Why Collagen Is a Proven Necessity

why collagen is a proven necessity

  • Collagen is the most common and abundant of your body’s proteins, accounting for about 30% of the total protein in your body. One of its primary purposes is to provide structural scaffolding to allow tissues to stretch and flex while maintaining tissue integrity

  • Collagen is found in your skin, connective tissues like tendons, ligaments, cartilage and fascia, your bones, organs, blood vessels, musculoskeletal system, hair and nails

  • The loss of collagen that occurs with age is the primary reason for wrinkles, dry sagging skin and lackluster hair. You can maintain a more youthful appearance by making sure you’re getting plenty of collagen and/or gelatin in your diet

  • Collagen is also crucial for bone health and recovery from soft tissue injuries, and can help improve sleep, reduce joint pain, improve gut health, glucose tolerance and blood pressure, reduce cardiovascular damage, lower your risk of osteoporosis, and lower inflammation and oxidative damage

  • The primary amino acids in collagen — glycine, proline and hydroxyproline — make up the matrix of connective tissue. Beef contains very little of these amino acids, so eating only muscle meat will not provide enough amino acids to allow you to build strong connective tissue and maintain bone strength

Collagen is the most common and abundant of your body’s proteins, accounting for about 30% of the total protein in your body. It’s found in your skin, connective tissues like tendons, ligaments, cartilage and fascia, your bones, organs, blood vessels, musculoskeletal system and even your hair and nails. One of its primary purposes is to provide structural scaffolding for tissues to allow them to stretch and flex while maintaining tissue integrity.

The loss of collagen that occurs with age is the primary reason for wrinkles, dry sagging skin and lackluster hair. When your collagen level is high, your skin will tend to be soft, smooth and firm, because the collagen allows skin cells to continuously repair and renew themselves.

By the time you reach your 60s, you have about half the collagen you did in your youth, and once you enter your 80s, you have about four times less, hence the radical changes in your skin.

If you’re vegetarian or vegan, signs of skin aging may be more pronounced for the simple fact that you don’t eat collagen-rich foods on a regular basis. Foods like fish, bone broth and organic, pastured chicken and eggs are all natural sources of collagen. Many vegetarians and vegans also shun collagen supplements because they’re made from animal sources.

When it comes to skin health, it’s important to realize that topically applied collagen cannot cross into deeper skin layers, so most collagen-containing skin creams are likely a waste of money. To really make a difference, you need to tackle the problem from the inside-out. The good news is you can maintain a more youthful appearance by making sure you’re getting plenty of collagen and/or gelatin in your diet.

The benefits of collagen certainly don’t end there, though. Collagen is also crucial for bone health,

and will dictate how well and how rapidly you’ll recover from soft tissue injuries. Collagen can also help:

  • Improve your sleep

  • Reduce joint pain and stiffness,

    including osteoarthritis pain

  • Improve digestion

and gut health by keeping your gut lining healthy

  • Improve glucose tolerance

  • Improve blood pressure

  • Reduce cardiovascular damage

It can also help lower your risk of osteoporosis (brittle bone). According to ABC15 Health Insider Dr. Shad Marvasti, adding 10 to 15 grams of collagen a day has been shown to improve bone health in as little as eight weeks.

Thanks to its high glycine content, collagen also helps reduce inflammation and oxidative damage, which are hallmarks of most chronic diseases. The amino acid glycine, which makes up 28% of collagen, does this by inhibiting the consumption of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH), which acts as a reductive reservoir of electrons to recharge antioxidants once they become oxidized.

Connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments, cartilage and fascia also tend to get weaker and less elastic with age, making you more prone to injuries that can take a long time to heal.

Connective tissue injuries are also problematic because there’s very little blood supply in connective tissue, which slows recovery. While a muscle injury is relatively easy to recover from, connective tissue requires collagen to heal, as glycine,

proline and hydroxyproline

are the raw materials that make up the matrix of connective tissue.

“Beef contains very little of the amino acids required for connective tissue health. So, beef alone will not allow you to build strong connective tissue and maintain bone strength.”

Interestingly, research suggests your body will selectively take collagen into the areas that are stressed and need it most. We discussed this in my 2018 interview with Mark Sisson, a former elite endurance athlete.

As you can see in the chart below, beef contains very little of the amino acids required for connective tissue health. So, beef alone will not allow you to build strong connective tissue and maintain bone strength.

amino acid table

If you are only eating muscle meats without the connective tissue, you will get the amino acids in the right column, which simply does not provide your body with the amino acids it requires to build collagen. Admittedly, these missing amino acids are not essential so your body can make them, but it will waste loads of energy in doing that.

Bone is created when collagen fibrils mineralize together with carbonated hydroxyapatite (calcium apatite). Combined, they form a hybrid material that is very strong yet flexible.

What’s more, as other minerals (such as strontium- and calcium-based minerals) are deposited inside the collagen, it causes a reaction that triggers the collagen fibrils to contract. This stress generates a mineral-collagen composite material composed of high-tensile fibers with properties reminiscent of reinforced concrete.

This explains why tendons have the tensile strength of wire ropes and why healthy bones are so hard yet not brittle.

As with connective tissue, the key to strong and flexible bone is collagen, and if you’re not trying to maintain a healthy intake, your bones will become increasingly brittle and less strong with age, ultimately resulting in osteoporosis.

If you are getting the majority of your protein from muscle meats you will be getting high amounts of the amino acids that are in red, which are very low in collagen and gelatin. Why is this important? Because these are the very amino acids that, when consumed in excess, have been highly correlated with decreased longevity.

Your collagen intake may also impact your longevity and overall disease risk. As reported by the late Ray Peat, a biologist who specialized in bioenergetic medicine,

life extension studies have shown that restricting tryptophan or cysteine alone produces greater life extension than calorie restriction, which is rather remarkable.

Referring to the chart above, you can see that beef contains more than three times the amount of tryptophan compared to collagen. Peat also argued that collagen, the cooked form (gelatin) in particular, has a long history of use for disease prevention. Modern medicine has simply chosen to overlook or forget all of that. In his archived article “Gelatin, Stress, Longevity,” Peat explained:

“Both tryptophan and cysteine inhibit thyroid function and mitochondrial energy production, and have other effects that decrease the ability to withstand stress. Tryptophan is the precursor to serotonin, which causes inflammation, immunodepression, and generally the same changes seen in aging …

[G]elatin is a protein which contains no tryptophan, and only small amounts of cysteine … Using gelatin as a major dietary protein is an easy way to restrict the amino acids that are associated with many of the problems of aging …

When cells are stressed, they form extra collagen, but they can also dissolve it, to allow for tissue remodeling and growth … When collagen is broken down, it releases factors that promote wound healing and suppress tumor invasiveness.

Glycine itself is one of the factors promoting wound healing and tumor inhibition. It has a wide range of antitumor actions, including the inhibition of new blood vessel formation (angiogenesis), and it has shown protective activity in liver cancer and melanoma …

When we eat animal proteins in the traditional ways (for example, eating fish head soup … ‘head-cheese’ … and chicken-foot soup …), we assimilate a large amount of glycine and gelatin …

When only the muscle meats are eaten, the amino acid balance entering our blood stream is the same as that produced by extreme stress, when cortisol excess causes our muscles to be broken down to provide energy and material for repair.

The formation of serotonin is increased by the excess tryptophan in muscle, and serotonin stimulates the formation of more cortisol, while the tryptophan itself, along with the excess muscle-derived cysteine, suppresses the thyroid function …

The range of injuries produced by an excess of tryptophan and serotonin seems to be prevented or corrected by a generous supply of glycine. Fibrosis, free radical damage, inflammation, cell death from ATP depletion or calcium overload, mitochondrial damage, diabetes, etc., can be prevented or alleviated by glycine …

Since persistent lipolysis and insulin resistance, along with a generalized inflammatory state, are involved in a great variety of diseases, especially in the degenerative diseases, it’s reasonable to consider using glycine/gelatin for almost any chronic problem.”

Red meat, on the other hand, contains far higher levels of the antimetabolic amino acids cysteine and tryptophan, which you want less of if you struggle with degenerative and/or inflammatory conditions.

In his article,

Peat also argues that a wide variety of bleeding conditions can be successfully treated with glycine, and hence a collagen- or gelatin-rich diet. These include everything from nosebleeds and excessive menstrual bleeding, to bleeding ulcers, hemorrhoids and even stroke.

According to Peat, glycine, taken shortly after a stroke, limits the damage and accelerates recovery. Glycine may also be protective in epilepsy, by stabilizing nerves and raising the amount of stimulation required to activate nerves. Glycine also has antispastic effects that can help alleviate muscle spasms associated with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Conditions involving excess prolactin, serotonin and/or cortisol, such as autism, postpartum and premenstrual problems, Cushing’s disease, diabetes and impotence, may also benefit.

“In some of the older studies, therapeutic results improved when the daily gelatin was increased,” he notes. “Since 30 grams of glycine was commonly used for treating muscular dystrophy and myasthenia gravis, a daily intake of 100 grams of gelatin wouldn’t seem unreasonable, and some people find that quantities in that range help to decrease fatigue …

For adults, a large part of that could be in the form of gelatin. If a person eats a large serving of meat, it’s probably helpful to have 5 or 10 grams of gelatin at approximately the same time, so that the amino acids enter the blood stream in balance.”

Importantly, while glycine, proline, hydroxyproline and alanine all have anti-inflammatory and other healing properties, the primary amino acids in red meat tend to induce and/or promote inflammation (listed in red in the chart above).

For that reason, I cut my egg and meat intake by 50% and replaced the protein with gelatin and collagen instead. Overall, I aim to have about one-third of my protein as collagen or gelatin.

As a general suggestion, a good maintenance dose is about 20 grams of collagen per day. If you’re trying to address a soft tissue injury, you may want to increase that to 40 grams a day. You can also help prevent the breakdown of collagen by eating antioxidant-rich foods and avoiding cigarette smoke, pollution,

excessive alcohol consumption and sugary foods.

Vitamin C-rich foods also aid in collagen production.

While 29 different types of collagen have been scientifically identified, most supplements will contain one or more of just three of these, which are known simply as:

  • Type 1 — Collagen found in skin/hide, tendon, scales and bones of cows, pigs, chicken and fish

  • Type 2 — Formed in cartilage and typically derived from poultry

  • Type 3 — Fibrous protein found in bone, tendon, cartilage and connective tissues of cows, pigs, chicken and fish

Types 1, 2 and 3 comprise 90% of the collagen found in your body.

Collagen supplements typically come in one of two forms: unhydrolyzed (undenatured) or hydrolyzed (denatured) collagen. In their natural, hydrolyzed state, collagen molecules are poorly absorbed due to their large size.

Hydrolyzation refers to a processing technique that breaks the molecules down into smaller fragments, thereby enhancing intestinal absorption. For this reason, most collagen products are hydrolyzed.

As for the difference between collagen and gelatin: Collagen is the raw material and gelatin is what you get when you cook the collagen.

While collagen and gelatin have the same basic amino acid composition, gelatin is more digestible and easier to absorb, which is important if your digestion is in any way compromised.

Collagen is made from animal bones, skins, tendons and other connective tissues. The collagen is extracted through an acid or alkali treatment followed by purification and does not involve heat. Since the molecular structure is larger, collagen does not dissolve in water.

When collagen is heated, the molecular bonds break down, giving you gelatin hydrolysate or hydrolyzed gelatin (other terms to describe gelatin include collagen hydrolysate or collagen peptides). Since the peptide chains are shorter, gelatin can be dissolved in water, where it forms a thick gel.

In terms of health benefits, these differences are likely minimal, because when collagen is ingested, it gets broken down in your gastrointestinal tract into shorter peptides that are the same as gelatin.

Since only free amino acids can enter your bloodstream, collagen and gelatin have essentially identical systemic effects, as their basic composition is the same. That said, gelatin may be preferable if you have ulcers or other GI problems.

The ideal source of collagen/gelatin is homemade broth made from boiled organic chicken feet or beef bones. (Gelatin is the thickened layer that forms on top.) This also tends to be the most cost effective.

As far as supplements go, my preference is powdered gelatin, followed by collagen products made from beef bone broth rather than hide. When made from cattle hide, even organic certification becomes questionable, because hides, organic or not, are scraps from the leather tannery industry that have undergone intense processing with harsh chemicals.

Whether you choose gelatin or collagen, make sure it’s certified “100% Organic” by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)

or, better yet, certified grass fed by the American Grassfed Association (AGA), which has the most rigorous standards.

Nonorganic collagen supplements are best avoided, as most are made from animal parts derived from animals raised in concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs), and may contain unwanted contaminants, including heavy metals,

chemicals and drugs,

including antibiotics.

Also, do not use JELL-O brand

“gelatin” snacks, as ready-to-eat JELL-O cups contain no gelatin whatsoever. Instead, they’re using carrageenan, which can induce inflammation and contribute to a wide variety of chronic diseases.

It can also cause digestive side effects.

JELL-O powder

does contain gelatin, as it contains food coloring and preservatives with questionable safety. What you want is a pure gelatin powder without sugar and other additives.

If you cannot afford a high-quality collagen or gelatin supplement, you could consider taking pure glycine instead. It’s available in powder form and tends to be very affordable and is easy to take, as it has a mildly sweet flavor. That said, alanine and proline have many of the same benefits as glycine, including protection against cell damage, so using gelatin rather than pure glycine is preferable.

Can Fenugreek Boost Testosterone?

  • Several studies support the theory that fenugreek promotes an increase in testosterone levels, which supports a reduction in body fat, improvement in upper and lower extremity strength and an improvement in men’s sexual function

  • Testosterone is a sex hormone important to hormonal balance in men and women. Small amounts of circulating testosterone are converted to estradiol and, in turn, improve women’s sexual function and desire

  • Testosterone is converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), another sex hormone. High levels of DHT contribute to prostate cancer, polycystic ovarian syndrome and male pattern hair loss

  • Fenugreek increases testosterone levels but lowers DHT levels, which helps reduce hair loss. Fenugreek also helps modulate blood glucose levels and improves glucose tolerance in those with Type 2 diabetes

In this eight-minute video, Dorian Wilson reviews some of the effects fenugreek can have on hormonal balance. Fenugreek has a long history in traditional medicine and is a common ingredient in foods found in the Mediterranean region, Western Asia and Southern Europe, which is its native habitat.

Fenugreek seeds smell and taste like maple syrup and the extract is used in many soaps and cosmetics. According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health,

it’s believed to be safe in amounts commonly found in food but should not be used during pregnancy in larger amounts as it’s been linked to birth defects.

In areas where the herb grows natively, it was traditionally used to increase milk supply in breastfeeding women and to treat diabetes. Another benefit of fenugreek supplements is a boost in testosterone. Testosterone is a sex hormone that’s known to regulate fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, cognitive health, sex drive and bone mass in men.

As men age, they can produce less testosterone, which contributes to testosterone deficiency and an accompanying decline in estradiol. Small amounts of circulating testosterone are converted into estradiol,

which is a form of estrogen important to men’s and women’s health.

While testosterone is the most significant sex hormone for men and estrogen the most significant sex hormone for women, men and women require a balance of estrogen and testosterone, just in different ratios.

In this short four-minute video, Dr. Michael Greger reviews research evidence demonstrating the effect fenugreek has on testosterone levels and subsequent health benefits. In the first study titled, “The Effects of a Commercially Available Botanical Supplement on Strength, Body Composition, Power Output, and Hormonal Profiles in Resistance-Trained Males,” Gregor notes several benefits.

The researchers engaged 49 participants in an eight-week intervention in which they participated in resistance training and took either 500 mg of a placebo or fenugreek. The results demonstrated a reduction in body fat and an improvement in lower and upper extremity strength. Greger noted that the only side effect the men appeared to have was that the fenugreek made their sweat and urine smell like maple syrup.

Past research studies on castrated rats have demonstrated that fenugreek could raise testosterone levels enough to improve muscle bulking in the animal study. But it wasn’t until recently that a review of four trials demonstrated that fenugreek could significantly increase total serum testosterone,

published in The Aging Male showed fenugreek improved men’s sexual function and another study demonstrated it facilitated an increase in testosterone and estradiol in women, which in turn improved sexual desire and function.

The results were so significant that researchers measured double the sexual activity as compared to the women taking a placebo. The next logical question was that if fenugreek could improve estrogen levels in women could it influence menopausal symptoms?

Greger discusses a 2017 study

published in Phytotherapy Research, in which the researchers found a significant reduction across every domain measured, including in weekly hot flashes and night sweats, cutting those nearly in half over three months.

Since fenugreek appeared to improve symptoms of hormonal imbalance, another study measured whether it could improve painful periods, also called dysmenorrhea. They found that taking just a third of a teaspoon of fenugreek in the first three days of the woman’s menstrual period reduced pain and improved other menstrual symptoms as well.

Finally, Greger reviewed research from a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial that demonstrated that fenugreek is a galactagogue which increases breast milk production by 50% within two weeks and 100% within four weeks.

As the video from Wilson describes,

an enzyme in the body converts circulating testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, also known as DHT. This is the hormone responsible for the expression of male features. When DHT rises too high or too low, it can create health issues, depending on your age and stage of sexual development.

While DHT helps the expression of male physiology during puberty, it is testosterone that maintains that expression throughout adulthood.

In an adult, high levels of DHT are associated with prostate cancer, polycystic ovarian syndrome, benign prostatic hyperplasia and androgenic alopecia or male pattern hair loss.

Wilson describes two studies

in which fenugreek demonstrated a small increase in circulating testosterone with a subsequent decrease in circulating DHT. The theory is that a compound in fenugreek inhibits the 5 alpha-reductase enzymes that are responsible for converting testosterone to DHT. This decrease in DHT may offer some benefit to men and women suffering from male pattern hair loss, as demonstrated by several studies.

As Wilson points out, the increase in testosterone and subsequent reduction in DHT is not enough to explain the increase in men’s libido while taking fenugreek. Additionally, the androgen receptors in the brain respond to DHT and not testosterone, which means that as DHT levels drop taking fenugreek, you might expect libido to also drop.

However, as it turns out with many other mechanisms within the body, it’s much more complex than the effect of one hormone on one receptor.

Wilson consulted with Beth Steels, Ph.D., from the University of Sydney, who explained that libido is a complex relationship between hormones, in which testosterone plays just one part.

She explained that fenugreek also interacts with gut bacteria, which may help balance other hormones within the body. Wilson proposes that fenugreek affects anabolic signaling pathways in the brain and doesn’t just simply raise hormone levels, which may be one explanation for how fenugreek affects libido without significantly raising testosterone levels.

Wilson goes on to describe the benefits in one study

that participants experienced when consuming between 2 and 5 grams of fenugreek seeds. On average, the participants experienced a 13.4% decrease in blood glucose and an improved glucose tolerance. Reduction in blood sugar and improvement in glucose tolerance may help those with Type 2 diabetes.

The number of people with diabetes continues to rise each year, which has a significant financial impact on health care and affects life expectancy as it’s a modifiable leading or contributing factor to at least five of the 10 leading causes of death in the U.S.

Researchers in one study

evaluated the addition of soaked fenugreek seeds to the diet and found it had a synergistic effect with diet and exercise on fasting blood glucose and hemoglobin A1c. The study enrolled 60 patients with Type 2 diabetes who had been diagnosed for at least six months and were on blood glucose-lowering medication.

The group was randomized to receive 10 grams of soaked fenugreek seeds and the control group that did not. Additionally, both groups adhered to strict diet and exercise guidelines from the American Diabetic Association. Each month both groups were tested for fasting blood sugar levels and hemoglobin A1c. Statistical analysis of the data showed a significant reduction in fasting blood glucose in the intervention group that occurred in the fifth month of the study.

A second study published in Food and Nutrition Research,

enrolled 154 people with Type 2 diabetes. The participants took a daily dosage of 500 mg twice a day of Fenfuro, an enriched fenugreek seed extract. There were 108 men and 46 women between the ages of 25 and 60 years.

The researchers measured body weight, pulse rate, blood pressure, fasting and postprandial plasma blood sugar, hemoglobin A1c and C peptide levels. The data revealed a significant reduction in fasting plasma and postprandial blood sugar levels with roughly 83% of the participants exhibiting a decrease in fasting plasma sugar levels and 89% experiencing a reduction in post parental plasma sugar levels.

The researchers did not record any significant adverse effects from blood chemistry analysis and 48.8% of those taking Fenfuro reported reducing their anti-diabetic therapy.

The mechanism by which fenugreek helps lower blood glucose levels is not well understood. It could be that the hormonal balancing effect has a positive effect on several bodily systems. However, while fenugreek has demonstrated the potential to raise testosterone levels and lower blood sugar, it is important to use this as an adjunct to other lifestyle changes.

As I have written before, intermittent fasting helps balance testosterone in men and women and you can naturally raise testosterone levels by maintaining a normal weight, getting exercise and seven to eight hours of quality sleep.

Additionally, you should avoid tobacco, stress and excessive alcohol.
