The Israelis so far have advanced in three zones, and including the Hezbollah front have admitted to 19 KIA including a battalion commander. The zones outlined in red on the map are not Gaza City dense urban terrain per se, but more on the surrounding edges of the core city.

Also notice that IDF infantry is traversing open ground in long columns. This is risky in modern warfare as overhead surveillance can vector fire on these targets. So this begs the question, why isn’t Hamas using fly over tracking? Do they not have it? Or are they setting up traps? This would answer the question of their capabilities. If Hezbollah and IRGC were embedded in their ranks we could expect Israelis to be raked when using their column tactic.

Hamas is also reporting that they can hit out in the open supply depots outside of the Gaza border- which will result in more casualties and possibly large numbers. There have been numerous videos showing how exposed these staging and supply locations are.

There are bulldozers brought in to level the ground for maneuver, preparing launch camps for the Gaza City combat, and for firing platforms. Notice that these too appear to be right out in the open.

The next phase of actual penetration into urban Gaza City- analyst explains how IDF loses it’s metric advantage of air power. No doubt once the zones are fully secured (if possible) the IDF will reinforce-for better or for worse- with ground fighting units.

Elsewhere threats are escalating from virtually all Muslim states in the region. Unclear what Hezbollah is waiting on at this point – perhaps the actual push into Gaza City proper.

Maine mass shooting triggers spike in gun purchases – NaturalNews.com

The Maine mass shooting, where the shooter killed 18 and injured 13 on two locations, has caused an increase in gun purchases in the state.

According to first-time gun buyer Lexy Kerr, 25, she watched the news of the mass shooting at a bowling alley and a bar in Lewiston, Maine, and thought about what she might have done in that situation. “A phone call wouldn’t have saved somebody. A knife wouldn’t have saved somebody. A taser wouldn’t have saved somebody. Your best chance of survival in that situation is having a gun,” Kerr said.

Gun stores in the area have reported unusually high sales of all kinds of firearms after the tragedy.

Store owners said buyers mentioned several reasons, including the fear of being targeted in a mass shooting and worries that the state or federal government may immediately limit access to guns in response to the incident. Some also talked about the possibility that they might encounter the shooter, although that was no longer possible since he was found dead on Oct. 27. Northeastern Firearms in Turner, where Kerr bought a Glock 43X, only sells up to 20 firearms on a good day. Nick Ayotte, the store’s 44-year-old owner, said they have been selling five times that since Oct. 26, the day after the mass shooting. He added that customers are preferring a lot of add-ons, along with holsters and attachable flashlights.

“We’re seeing the fear. It’s the reason people have used to finally do something they’ve been thinking of doing for a while,” Ayotte said.

Ayotte’s decision to open on Oct. 26, and during the comprehensive manhunt for the shooter, was not without opposition. He even received an email accusing him of taking advantage of a tragedy and selling the same weapons used by the shooter. Ayotte did not respond to the email.

First Due Firearms, a gun shop located six miles outside of Lewiston, opened on Oct. 27 as police divers checked around waterways and men in tactical gear trooped neighboring communities in search of the shooter.

Customers queued in the parking lot with a few waiting up to an hour to buy. The gun rush resembled the early days of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic when locals were jostling for toilet paper and pistols, said First Due Firearms owner Nate Maillet.

“I feel pretty strongly about everybody’s right to have that protection. People use guns for the wrong reasons all the time. We just lived that. But people using it for the wrong reasons would never be a reason for me not to have it myself,” Maillet said.

Maine does not demand permits to carry concealed guns and does not order background checks for private gun sales.

DIGITAL REPRESSION: Internet users worldwide are experiencing tighter restrictions, report reveals

Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and its rising influence are increasing the efficiency, scale and speed of “digital repression,” with internet users worldwide experiencing tighter restrictions this year compared to last year.

This is according to a report released last month by Freedom House. Researchers of the report entitled Freedom on the Net 2023 assessed internet freedom (an umbrella term that includes digital rights, the right to internet access, freedom of information, freedom from internet censorship and net neutrality) in 70 countries, which account for 88 percent of the world’s internet users.

After analyzing events in these countries between June 2022 and May 2023, Freedom House assigned scores on a 100-point scale to each, based on 21 indicators covering the areas of “obstacles to access, limits on content and violation of user rights.” (Related: Ben Armstrong outlines the difference between FAKE FREEDOM and REAL FREEDOM.)

In total, 29 countries (more than a third) saw their scores tied to internet freedom decrease year-over-year.

“It’s unsurprising that global internet freedom declined for the 13th consecutive year this year. Advances in AI have been grabbing headlines and its uptake is really increasing the efficiency of digital repression – as seen with censorship, disinformation and surveillance,” Allie Funk, the report’s co-author, told Voice of America.

AI accelerates decline of internet freedom

Funk pointed out that “more governments are blocking access to chatbots, controlling their outputs to reinforce state narratives and forcing companies to use AI to remove content from platforms at a rate that humans can’t match.”

Iran, whose government has a history of internet censorship, is “home to this year’s worst decline” – dropping five points. In a bid to quell anti-government protesters, Iran shut down internet service; blocked social media platforms, including Instagram and WhatsApp; and increased surveillance.

Holding the title of the “world’s worst environment for internet freedom,” China has pioneered the use of AI chatbots to embed censorship by directly controlling the training data that the computer programs use.

China’s generative AI chatbots, such as Baidu’s Ernie Bot and Alibaba’s Tongyi Qianwen, are required to follow strict content controls to either repeat state propaganda or not answer questions about sensitive issues. Kian Vesteinsson, Freedom House senior research analyst for technology and democracy, said: “The Chinese people live under a system of censorship and surveillance that is more extreme than anywhere else in the world. Crackdowns on free expression were ‘routine’ in the country – a system characterized by journalists and critics being jailed and criticism erased from the internet.”

In a statement, Freedom House President Michael J. Abramowitz said: “Democratic states should bolster their regulation of AI to deliver more transparency, provide effective oversight mechanisms and prioritize the protection of human rights.”

A High Court judge has ordered an 11-year-old rape victim to get an abortion against her will.

According to the court ruling of Judge Emma Arbuthnot, a High Court judge in the United Kingdom, the girl identified as AZ was raped by a 14-year-old boy she met online. AZ also reported that a few weeks later, another 14-year-old boy raped her after her 11th birthday.

“She became pregnant after being raped by a 14-year-old she met on the internet when she was aged 10, on the 18th or 21st of May 2023. She was raped by another 14-year-old boy on the 11th of June 2023, but he did not make her pregnant,” Arbuthnot said.

A health board applied for “declarations that termination of pregnancy would be in her best interests.” A mental health consultant additionally argued that the girl “lacked competence” to carry through with the pregnancy and a team of medical specialists warned that continuing the pregnancy could seriously harm her health. Arbuthnot agreed with the recommendations of these health professionals.

“The risks to AZ are significant. I was particularly struck by the evidence about the impact of the size of AZ’s anatomy: whereas many adult women struggle with the pain of childbirth, a child of eleven is likely to have a much worse experience,” the judge said.

However, AZ, who was around 14 weeks and six days pregnant at the time of the hearing, told the court she was actually happy about being pregnant. She even said she wanted to keep the baby despite the risks of continuing the pregnancy. AZ mentioned that being pregnant made her feel special and her mother agreed with her decision. Pro-life advocates have argued that the deliberate termination of a preborn baby is never medically necessary, adding that ending the life of a baby conceived through rape can trigger additional trauma for already traumatized victims.

In an episode of the Health Ranger Report in April, the Health Ranger Mike Adams discussed abortion with pro-life activist Susan Swift. She has condemned the narrative floated by the Left that abortion is “healthcare” and “necessary to save women.”

“Abortion is never healthcare and never necessary to save a woman’s life. But that’s what the abortion cartel makes money on. They sell it as a product to desperate young women who are afraid and it is marketed that way,” she told Adams.

Swift, the vice president of legal affairs at the Right to Life League in California, said the groups supporting abortion have brainwashed women that having a baby will make their lives worse and stop them from reaching their goals.

“All of that is a lie. Because what it does is inform their choice to kill a baby for their own convenience,” Swift said. She also pointed out that the ideologues behind abortion are pushing a very Marxist trope because it is designed to divide and alienate a mother from her child still in the womb through the act of murder.

Just like Swift, Cassy Fiano-Chesser, a pro-life advocate, does not believe that abortion is healthcare and necessary to save women.

Fiano-Chesser said “talk of bodily autonomy does not apply when a court chooses to terminate the life of an innocent child over her mother’s will, subjecting the mother – a survivor of rape – to yet another violation of her own body.”
