Putin places blame for Nordstream sabotage squarely on Biden after he threatened to shut it down over Ukraine invasion

(Natural News) Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it crystal clear that he blames the United States for sabotaging the Nordstream 1 and 2 natural gas pipelines last week after a video surfaced of President Joe Biden and other U.S. officials threatening to take them out if Russia invaded Ukraine.

Putin made his remarks last week in the wake of the unprecedented attack on another country’s vital infrastructure, which critics said could hasten the arrival of World War III.

“They are destroying European energy infrastructure… it’s clear who benefits,” Putin was quoted as saying. “It’s obvious to everyone who did it.”

The leader of the free world” Biden when he said he will shut down Nord Stream 2 pipeline if Russia invades Ukraine.

The war and the reactions were pre planned.

The Moscow Times added:

Putin blamed the United States for this week’s unexplained explosions at the Nord Stream pipelines that have left the damaged pipelines leaking huge amounts of natural gas into the Baltic Sea.

The Russian president also addressed the upcoming winter, which is shaping up to be especially brutal for Europeans after having lost the Nordstream links.

“They print money, but you cannot warm your homes with this printed money… They have to convince their citizens to shower less, eat less, and put on warm clothes,” he said, according to the Moscow outlet.

“The Western elites…it’s a crisis due to their own fault,” he said, trying to shift blame to the West for his invasion. He also said that the goal of the “hybrid war” in Ukraine is “to break Russia at any costs.”

“The dictatorship of the Western elite is directed against all societies, including against the peoples of those Western countries themselves. It’s a challenge for all. This means the total negation of the human, the overthrow of religion and traditional values as the crushing of freedom becomes to look like the opposite of religion – open Satanism,” Putin continued, which is a familiar theme of his, going on to reject ridiculous attempts by the West to impose “LGBTQ” gender ideology, which he appropriately deems a threat to Russian society.

“Do we really want to have a parent No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 instead of mom and dad in Russia? Do we want children to be told that there are other genders besides men and women? Is this the future we want for our children? For us, this is unacceptable,” Putin said, according to translated remarks.

“I’ve watched a lot of Putin speeches over the last 10-15 years and this is the most anti-US one by a really long way. If I were a western policymaker wondering if he’d really use nuclear weapons – and he hasn’t even got to them yet – I’d be very concerned,” one observer noted on Twitter.

The Moscow Times added:

He also slammed Washington’s past use of nuclear weapons, comments that follow his warning last week that he “wasn’t bluffing” about resorting to “any means necessary” in Ukraine.

“The U.S. is the only country in the world to have used nuclear weapons,” Putin said. “Creating a precedent.”

As Putin spoke in the Kremlin, hundreds of Russians gathered in Red Square in front of a stage emblazoned with the words “Donetsk. Luhansk. Zaporizhzhia. Kherson. Russia!”

Actually, the U.S. utilized atomic weapons, but it signaled the beginning of the nuclear age as the then-Soviet Union built its own weapons shortly thereafter.

The Biden regime responded by vowing that it would “not stand by as Putin fraudulently attempts to annex parts of Ukraine,” while then announcing new expanded sanctions against Russian individuals and entities.

“Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated 14 persons in Russia’s military-industrial complex, including two international suppliers, three key leaders of Russia’s financial infrastructure, immediate family members of some of senior Russian officials, and 278 members of Russia’s legislature for enabling Russia’s sham referenda and attempt to annex sovereign Ukrainian territory,” said the administration.

Gavin Newsom turns California into abortion central, signs more than a dozen bills expanding medical violence against unborn babies

Image: Gavin Newsom turns California into abortion central, signs more than a dozen bills expanding medical violence against unborn babies

(Natural News) For a majority of Americans, the right to life is sacrosanct, but for some reason, taking unborn life is a priority for Democrats and their voters, and nowhere is the practice going to be more prolific than in California.

Once a state that offered a new life and promise to millions, California has become the death capital of the country after Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed 13 bills codifying and greatly expanding abortions.

“The bills will allocate over $200 million in new abortion funding, greenlight recruitment of abortionists to broaden availability, and ensure that almost no abortion will be prosecuted under the law,” LifeSite News reported last week after Newsom practically strained his wrists signing his name so many times.

“The legislative package also includes a controversial bill that critics have warned could be interpreted as decriminalizing infanticide” — the ‘right’ to abort an unborn child right up to the moment of birth.

In a late September press release, Newsom said that the laws are in direct contrast to those passed in GOP states essentially banning or severely limiting the procedure. Many of those laws were actually passed decades ago but were put on hold until the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the horrendous Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion throughout the country in 1973. The high court reversed that ruling in June, thus ‘triggering’ the previous abortion limits and bans.

Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed more than a dozen laws aiming to make California an abortion sanctuary state. Several of the new laws deliberately clash with restrictions in other states. https://t.co/IGD3P1D5Li

— The Associated Press (@AP) September 28, 2022

It should be noted that the high court did not ban abortions. Rather, the SCOTUS ruling merely returned the issue to the states, where it had been until a previous Supreme Court somehow found a ‘right’ to murder unborn babies in the Constitution. Some states have banned the procedure, others continue to allow it under certain conditions, and far-left blue states like California have few restrictions at all, including time limitations.

“An alarming number of states continue to outlaw abortion and criminalize women, and it’s more important than ever to fight like hell for those who need these essential services,” Newsom said, according to the press release.

LifeSite News noted further:

Perhaps the most well-known law signed as part of Newsom’s abortion package was AB 2223, dubbed “the infanticide bill” by pro-life critics.

As LifeSiteNews previously reported, pro-life attorneys and activists have argued the bill could legalize infanticide by prohibiting the investigation or prosecution of any woman or abortionist for “pregnancy outcomes,” including abortion, miscarriage, and “perinatal death,” a nebulous period that can span as far as two years after a child is born.

“The new modifying phrase may lessen the length of time during which the infanticide may occur, but it still leaves the newborn infant vulnerable to being killed by the abortionist or their partners in crime,” Thomas More Society special counsel Charles LiMandri previously told the news site.

“Since we already know that some abortion workers have either surreptitiously killed newborn infants, or left them to die without proper care, this Bill still stands to give more such criminals legal cover in the future,” LiMandri noted further.

An analysis by the Right to Life League adds: “While the bill’s April 6th amendments attempt to address problems concerning immunity for government investigations, the bill will likely chill investigation of infant deaths since it empowers mothers and ANYONE connected with the death of a newborn to bring a private cause of action for damages ($25,000 penalty), including the threat of attorney fees upon motion to a judge, against people who inquire into a newborn’s death.”

“What impact will this bill have on private health care providers, doctors or nurses who report a perinatal death to authorities?” the league added.

Democrats are the party of death, without question.

SIXTH property insurer declares bankruptcy after Hurricane Ian

Image: SIXTH property insurer declares bankruptcy after Hurricane Ian

(Natural News) The insurance industry is not doing so well as the sixth insurance company so far this year declares insolvency.

According to reports, state regulators in Florida have asked a judge to place a property insurance company in receivership following Hurricane Ian.

The Florida Department of Financial Services is seeking to be the appointed receiver for FedNat Insurance Company, which was already struggling long before Ian arrived. (Related: Florida’s fertilizer hub took a direct hit from Hurricane Ian.)

FedNat canceled 56,500 policies back in May. In June, the company reached an agreement to transfer about 83,000 policies to another company.

FedNat will still be responsible for all claims and other obligations before June 1, according to court documents. On September 13, the company notified the state Office of Insurance Regulation that it does not have enough money for “runoff” from its obligations.

“Respondent (FedNat) notified OIR that it had overstated its cash position and could not complete a solvent runoff,” a court petition filed by the Department of Financial Services’ Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation reads.

“OIR immediately sent an examiner to the company. On September 14, 2022, Respondent advised OIR that it did not have sufficient cash on hand to pay its obligations and debts as they come due in the normal course of business. Therefore, Respondent is insolvent as defined (by a section of state law) and delinquency proceedings are appropriate.”

Florida’s property insurance system is collapsing at breakneck speed

Since February, the following Florida property insurance companies have declared insolvency:

  • Southern Fidelity Insurance Co.
  • Weston Property and Casualty Insurance Co.
  • Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp.
  • Avatar Property & Casualty Insurance Co.
  • St. Johns Insurance Co.

The state-backed Citizens Property Insurance Corp., which was created as “an insurer of last resort,” according to a Tallahassee-based news outlet, has seen massive growth this year amid the loss of all these insurance companies.

As of September 16, Citizens had 1.055 million policies, which is more than double the number it had two years ago. Of these, 19,740 policies were previously insured by FedNat.

Prior to initiating the “extraordinary remedy” of canceling early 56,500 policies, FedNat held about 140,000 policies total. The remaining 83,000 or so policies will be transferred to a related company, Monarch National Insurance Co.

Since at least March 2020, the financial problems of FedNat have been a point of concern. It was that year when the state of Florida started requiring the company to file monthly financial statements.

Later that year, regulators began holding regular conference calls with the company to keep tabs on its financial status.

“Despite capital infusions, Respondent’s (financial) surplus continued to decline, and its underwriting losses continued to increase throughout the remainder of 2020 and into and throughout 2021,” the court petition further reads.

FedNat stopped writing new policies this year, according to the same petition. On August 1, it lost its financial rating with the ratings agency Demotech.

“When property insurers become insolvent, the non-profit Florida Insurance Guaranty Association typically steps in to pay claims,” says Tallahassee Reports (TR).

“Known as FIGA, the organization has authority to levy ‘assessments,’ which are costs passed on to insurance policyholders across the state.”

“FIGA already is using money from assessments of 1.3 percent and 0.7 percent to pay costs related to other insolvencies. Its board last month approved a plan to borrow $150 million, with the debt financed by extending the 0.7 percent assessment through 2023.”

In the comment section at TR, someone wrote that he believes there will come a time when it becomes obvious that insurance companies and banks “are so tightly interwoven that both will leave their depositors high and dry in a domino effect that will leave depositors impoverished after their life savings are absconded within the Ponzi scheme known as the stock market.”

European energy crisis is going to last a lot longer than just one winter, crucial analysis finds

Image: European energy crisis is going to last a lot longer than just one winter, crucial analysis finds

(Natural News) Europeans who think the current mounting (and worsening) energy crisis on the continent is only going to last this coming winter will need to think again, according to a new analysis of the situation.

Writing at OilPrice.com, Tsvetana Paraskova noted that European governments are currently racing against time to stock up on fossil fuel-based energy ahead of winter after ditching Russian oil and natural gas following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. When then-President Donald Trump lambasted Europe for being too dependent on Russia for its energy, he was mocked and derided, but as usual, Trump was right.

But even as it appears that European countries will manage to scrape by this winter, due to huge shifts in the global oil market those same countries will face a repeat situation next winter and, perhaps, the following winter as well. The United States could ramp up its investment in plentiful oil and gas resources and more than make up the difference in Europe’s loss of Russian energy, but the Biden regime is beholden to the lunatic ‘climate change’ wing of the Democratic Party, so that’s out.

This is not a one winter story, let’s just make it very, very clear,” Amrita Sen, founder and director of research at Energy Aspects, told Bloomberg Television in an interview late last week.

Paraskova adds:

The energy crisis is already pushing Germany – Europe’s biggest economy – into a recession, which will deepen as we head into the winter months amid the ongoing natural gas and energy crisis, Bundesbank, the central bank of Germany, said in its monthly report earlier this week. Germany also moved this week to nationalize its biggest gas importer, Uniper, to prevent a collapse of the German energy and gas suppliers. Across Europe, industries are forced to curb or shut down production due to soaring energy prices, and several European industry associations say the European Commission’s proposals to reduce energy prices and help households and businesses through the crisis are not enough to help them survive the winter.

In remarks regarding the current oil market, Sen told Bloomberg that it is very likely going to experience an extremely volatile final quarter of 2022, a year that, thus far, has seen the second-highest volatility since 1990 and the highest since the 2020 global pandemic-related slowdown.

“We are expecting much higher prices into year-end,” she said, adding that her firm’s call is for oil prices to rise to around $120 a barrel by the end of December.

A recent Citi Global Wealth letter to investors also noted other market instability, caused in part by fluctuating energy prices.

“Markets are deeply unsettled… A ‘rapid change of weather’ for the economy appears on the horizon… 10% [chance] of Robust [economic conditions], 20% Resilient, and 70% Recession…[The Fed is moving] so fast that the impact of their tactics is not apparent,” the note said.

“How much tightening can the economy endure before credit costs rise and credit availability falls dangerously? … [T]he Fed’s medicine will have intended and unintended consequences. Its ability to counter mistakes will diminish over time… The case for a ‘recession’ or ‘stall’ in the economy in 2023 is quite strong and rising,” it added.

Meanwhile, in the U.S., gasoline prices have started to rise again in much of the country, climbing 3.2 cents from a week ago, according to new GasBuddy data published on Monday.

The national average for a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. rose to $3.67 on Monday, the data show, while diesel fuel prices continued to fall.

“I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a wider gamut of price behaviors coast to coast in my career,” the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy said in a note on Monday. “A slew of unexpected refinery disruptions, including fires and routine maintenance, have seemingly all happened in a short span of time, causing wholesale gas prices to spike in areas of the West Coast, Great Lakes and Plains states – and some of those areas could see prices spike another 25-75 cents per gallon or more until issues are worked out.”

Nobody wants fake meat because it's disgusting, expensive and “woke”

Image: Nobody wants fake meat because it’s disgusting, expensive and “woke”

(Natural News) Deloitte Consulting LLP has some really bad news for the fake meat industry: nobody wants to eat the stuff.

Sales are not just flat for companies like Beyond Meat Inc. and Impossible Foods, they are declining – and at an increasing rate.

Two years ago, Beyond Meat made its global debut with what Bloomberg describes as a “blockbuster initial public offering.” At the time, it seemed like vegetarians and vegans everywhere might flock to the company’s products.

Since that time, however, the company has cratered, losing much of its market share. (Related: Check out our other recent coverage about the rise and fall of Beyond Meat.)

The fake meat peddlers tried but failed to capture people’s taste buds. It turns out that nobody wants to consume meat-like substances made from genetically engineered (GMO) ingredients.

Not only that, but fake meat is more expensive than ever due to rising inflation. Real meat is both cheaper and healthier, and even those with an aversion to meat are eating it for protein.

According to the latest data, sales of refrigerated meat alternatives, aka fake meat, at retailers are down 10.5 percent by volume for the 52 weeks ending on Sept. 4, 2022.

“Proteins that were cheaper on a price-per-pound basis did fare better,” says Jonna Parker, a fresh food specialist at the market research company Information Resources Inc. (IRI).

Many people rightly attribute the fake meat push with far-left activism

Parker says that “semi-vegetarian” shoppers who in the past may have considered purchasing Impossible burgers or Beyond Meat patties are now just going for the real thing.

“With inflation, consumers have become less willing to pay a premium for faux meat,” reports Bloomberg, adding that taste and health concerns are also playing a role.

Deloitte’s position is that fake meat companies have more of a perception problem than a desire problem. Fewer people are convinced that fake meat is healthier and better for the environment than real meat, despite efforts by the globalist greenies to convince people otherwise.

Bloomberg, of course, is one of those greenies. Writers Martine Paris and Deena Shanker made sure to throw a caveat into their story that despite public perception to the contrary, the “environmental credentials of plant-based products compared to their meatier counterparts are well established.”

Politics also plays a role as it is now abundantly apparent that the anti-meat crusade stems from the far-left notion that animals and animal products are “warming” the planet.

Somehow, eating fake meat patties made from GMO soybeans, which are chemically and environmentally intensive, is “healthier,” according to the left, than consuming meat made from animals that roam pastures like nature intended.

A case-in-point of this was seen when the Cracker Barrel food chain announced the addition of Impossible Foods “sausage” to its menu. The chain’s right-leaning customer base criticized the company, prompting it to drop the fake meat item.

“I tried eating those Beyond burgers several times and every time I felt sluggish, inflamed, and toxic,” wrote a Natural News reader about his or her personal experience with fake meat.

“There’s really no telling what this Beyond Meat product actually is,” added another. “I’m very suspicious of some of the meat-like properties.”

“Fake meat is like the Chinese knockoff of real meat,” said someone else. “If it looks the same, people buy it, only to find out very quickly the scam they have fallen for.”

Another said he and his wife tried to cook fake meat on the grill only to realize it was completely inedible. They ended up feeding it to their dogs while switching back to Ball Park Franks.

First openly trans Army officer and spouse charged with trying to pass along secrets to Russia

Image: First openly trans Army officer and spouse charged with trying to pass along secrets to Russia

(Natural News) The U.S. Army’s first openly trans officer and ‘her’ spouse have been charged in a bizarre case involving an attempt to pass along secret information to Russia.

The officer, who has been identified as 39-year old Major Jamie Lee Henry, and ‘wife’ Anna Gabrielian, who works at Johns Hopkins hospital, were arrested after stealing medical information on troops from Fort Bragg and trying to pass it off to the Russian government.

The pair was “accused of using their secret security clearance at North Carolina’s Fort Bragg to steal the records from the base’s hospital,” according to the Department of Justice in a statement.

Not long ago, Henry was feted as the U.S. Army’s first transgender (in this case, male to female) officer, though according to reports, Henry is repeatedly referred to using male pronouns in the indictment.

The couple, who live in Rockville, Md., was caught in an FBI sting with the classified materials. Afterward, they were formally indicted on charges of conspiracy and wrongful disclosure of individually identifiable information. They believed that they were about to hand off the stolen records to a Russian official who turned out to be an FBI agent, reports noted.

Another strange aspect of the case is that there is an angle involving Russia’s war against Ukraine, as noted by CNBC:

Prosecutors said the couple, 39-year-old Maj. Jamie Lee Henry, and Johns Hopkins Hospital anesthesiologist Anna Gabrielian, 36, aimed to help Russia in its ongoing war against Ukraine. But the person who ended up receiving medical information from them turned out to be an undercover FBI agent, not a Russian Embassy employee as the couple had been led to believe, prosecutors said. Henry in 2015 was reported to be the first known active-duty Army officer to come out as transgender. While she identifies herself as a woman, the indictment repeatedly refers to Henry by male pronouns.

The report also said that the couple was motivated in their actions by “patriotism towards Russia”:

Gabrielian agreed to meet the agent in a Baltimore hotel room on Aug. 17, the indictment says. Later that same day, she called the agent “to reaffirm” the couple “were committed to helping Russia,” the indictment alleges.

During the meeting, Gabrielian told the FBI agent “she was motivated by patriotism toward Russia to provide any assistance she could to Russia, even if it meant being fired or going to jail,” the indictment says.

— Not the Bee (@Not_the_Bee) September 29, 2022

The Justice Department indicated in the indictment that the couple had made plans to flee the United States with their kids.

“Gabrilelian suggested a cover story for their interactions, and a plan for Gabrielian and Henry’s children flee the US quickly if Gabrielian and Henry were told to act in a way that could expose their communications and actions to the US government,” it said.

“Gabrielian and Henry met with an individual they believed to be associated with the Russian government, but who was, in fact, a Federal Bureau of Investigation Undercover Agent (“UC”), in order to convey to the UC their commitment to aid Russia, and to discuss ways in which they could help the Russian government,” the DOJ press release noted further. “Gabrielian told the UC that she had previously reached out to the Russian embassy by email and phone, offering Russia her and her husband’s assistance.

“Gabrielian told the UC that, although Henry knew of Gabrielian’s interaction with the Russian Embassy, she never mentioned Henry’s name to the Russian Embassy. Gabrielian wanted to make sure Henry could deny any knowledge of her actions,” it added.
