Solar Eclipse In Cancer: Cultivating Empathy

We are having a Total Solar Eclipse in Cancer which happens on July 2nd in the Western world and July 3rd in the East. It will be visible from the majority of South America as well as Panama and Costa Rica. The path of totality will cross over parts of Chile and Argentina which is where the Sun will be completely covered by the Moon. It will appear as a partial eclipse in the other locations mentioned.

A Solar Eclipse is a supercharged New Moon which influences a longer term period then a regular New Moon. This one marks the beginning of this eclipse season which happens every 6 months. This is when we have a New Moon and a Full Moon occur near the Lunar Nodes, which is where the path of the Sun and Moon meet from our perspective on Earth. It will be followed by a Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn on July 16th/17th. (Join my mailing list here to get my article on the next eclipse and other content).

Solar Eclipses reflect changes and shifts which affect the 6 months following and could also influence up to 6 weeks prior. You may or may not see the effects of it around the time it occurs, but you may feel it and then see it actually play out in the weeks or months following.

However, each Lunar Node period lasts approximately 2 years which is when we have a series of eclipses re-occurring in the same signs, therefore some of the related themes that are playing out could last that long. The Lunar Nodes moved into the Cancer-Capricorn polarity in November 2018 and will be there until Spring 2020. However, this eclipse is the most potent one in Cancer of this process. The final eclipses in Cancer-Capricorn will occur in the Summer of 2020 and will influence the following months.

The positions of the Eclipses and the Nodes reflect an evolutionary process in how we work with the energies of these signs. What results from this series of eclipses will have longer-term effects even beyond this period.

Solar Eclipse In Cancer Opposite Saturn and Trine Neptune

The shifts reflected in this eclipse and upcoming ones influencing us until late 2020 are connected to Cancerian energy. As a water sign, Cancer is associated with emotion, feelings, and intuition.

It is about nurturing, sensitivity, bonding, family, domestic life, security, comforts, and nostalgia. It is instinctual and protective yet can also be vulnerable, insecure, smothering, subjective, clingy, overly emotional, and attached to the past.

This eclipse opposes Saturn in Capricorn which is aligned with the South Node. Generally, we can be going through a period in which we may experience challenges and obstacles that  may be connected to ambitions, career, responsibilities, business, structures, boundaries, or social status. This will be strong until early Fall but could also play out longer in some cases. This energy will also be triggered on July 9th.

These challenges that can be coming up are likely going to help to facilitate some sort of endings or release that will unfold over the coming months. This eclipse shows that the changes and evolution in how we express Cancerian energy in new ways can be connected to how these obstacles affect us.

Alternatively, we may also experience a push-pull between mundane responsibilities and emotional needs. There may be challenges when it comes to balancing both, however, it can also be about integrating more Cancerian energy into our ambitions as well.

The eclipse is also in a trine with Neptune. Although the Saturn influence can reflect obstacles and challenges, Neptune in the equation can bring a theme of compassion, empathy, inspiration, selflessness, and oneness. Our intuitions can be stronger than normal and it can also be great for creative and spiritual pursuits. This will be strong from July 10th-11th.

Mercury Going Retrograde Soon, Mars Aspecting Mercury, Uranus and Chiron

Mercury will be going retrograde on July 7th/8th for three and a half weeks. It will begin in Leo but will mostly be in Cancer. This emphasizes some sort of reorientation of how we express the energies of this sign as also indicated by the Eclipse. Issues of the past may resurface to help address this and it will be a period in which we can see things in a different way.

Mars enters Leo less than a day prior to this eclipse and will join Mercury from July 7th-9th as it begins its retrograde. The beginning of retrogrades generally have more complications, and having Mars there can amplify the potential of irritability. We could have a tendency to make hurried decisions and it would be wise to not do so if there is risk involved.

Our thoughts, communications, and even commuting can have more of an aggressive tone and there can also be ego based conflicts. The best way to utilize this is to use our drive and revisit some sort of creative effort or self-expression. Issues pertaining to romance, sex, or children may also come up for some people.

From July 10th-12th, Mars will be in a square with Uranus and trine with Chiron. At best this can be good for actions that are innovative, unconventional, or holistically oriented. However, we may also experience disruptions and changes and would need to be flexible.

Although there will be a harmonious Neptune influence (mentioned above) at the same time, there can also be potential to feel rebellious and impulsive. Considering the retrograde, we need to be cautious about our actions. If something comes up that we want to change, make sure it feels right inside.

Things To Consider

Keep in mind that Eclipses are different than regular New Moons and they are not necessarily a time to be making intentions. It is best to just try to tune into it and pay attention to your feelings and what is coming up to help you in navigating the upcoming months to serve you in your personal evolution. The themes of the Eclipse will be connected to Cancerian energies, however, it also depends on how it is interacting with your personal astrology chart based on the day and time of your birth.

Here are some suggestions of things that you can be considering at this time. Do you need to be more empathic in how you relate with others? Have you been suppressing your emotional energy and feelings? If so, what problems has it been creating for you and what are possible solutions? Do you have comforts or addictions that are getting in the way? Do you need to be more nurturing and caring? Do you need to put more attention towards family, loved ones, or domestic life? Is the fear of being vulnerable inhibiting your growth, healing, or needed experiences?

The Eclipse will peak in Totality at 7:23pm and will begin just 2.5 hours prior. The exact time of this New Moon will be at 7:16pm Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

Full Moon In Scorpio: Practical Thinking Versus Intense Feelings

We are having a Full Moon in Scorpio on May 18th which will fall on the 19th for those in the Eastern part of the world. The energies of it are strongest in the days before and after, however, it will still be a part of the backdrop over the following two weeks. This is the peak of the Lunar cycle which began on May 4th/5th with a New Moon in Taurus.

This is a ‘Seasonal Blue Moon’ which is when we have 4 Full Moons in one season (instead of 3), with the 3rd one being the Blue Moon. This is the original definition of a Blue Moon with the term first being coined by the Farmer’s Almanac over 100 years ago.

We have been in Taurus season since April 20th and this Full Moon occurs in the last 2.5 days of it before the Sun enters Gemini. Taurus is about practicality, thoroughness, food, beauty, and nature. It enjoys sensual pleasures and is a grounded energy. As a ‘Fixed Earth’ sign, it is like a rock, and is the most invested in the physical/material world in comparison to the rest of the signs. It can also be slow, rigid, and lazy.

This Full Moon is in its opposite sign of Scorpio, triggering a push-pull or integration effect between both of these signs. Scorpio is deep, complex, passionate, intuitive, driven, powerful, calculated, observant, primal, regenerating, transformational, mysterious, intense, desiring, and sexual. It is associated with fears, shadows, death, secrets, and the extremes of Love and Hate. Scorpio energy can also be controlling, obsessive, jealous, aggressive, vengeful, and manipulative.

Both signs are associated with money, resources, values, and worth; with Taurus’ expression of these things being more ‘self-oriented’ and Scorpio being more ‘relationship/shared oriented.’ Scorpio is associated with taxes, debt, credit, investments, inheritance, which all include more then one party to be involved. Both signs also share qualities of being loyal, stubborn, and possessive.

Full Moon Opposite Sun and Mercury Aligned With Algol

This Moon opposes Mercury hours prior to peak of it being Full. We may feel a conflict or a push-pull between our thoughts and feelings, or between our minds and intuition. This can can also manifest in our relations with others in which one person or party is perceiving things mentally and the other emotionally.

The potential intensity of the Scorpio moon can also reflect verbal conflicts with this configuration. Similarly, to the themes of Taurus-Scorpio opposition mentioned above, it’s wise to try to integrate or collaborate between these two sides of the mind and emotional instincts/needs.

The Sun and Mercury are close to the fixed star ‘Algol’ which has some similar themes as the sign of Scorpio such as passion and intensity. The most positive quality of Algol is that it is a highly creative star. It is also associated with rage, hysteria, and the expression of shadows. Throughout history there sometimes has been catastrophes and significant war related developments during major planetary alignments with Algol.

Mercury Superior Conjunction on May 21st

On May 21st Mercury makes its exact conjunction with Sun in what is called the ‘Superior Conjunction’. This is sort of like the peak of the Mercury cycle which has been building up since its last conjunction in March during the previous retrograde.

Mercury will be initiating its next phase in which it travels ahead of the Sun over the next month and a half. We are transitioning into a period where we can have greater clarity regarding certain issues that have been playing out or seeded since March.

In comparison to these last few months, our minds can be more aligned with our true needs and self-expression from May 21st onward. During this next phase, we can better implement our ideas and whatever we have been thinking about with greater confidence and direction. Some people may notice some significant developments during this day or the days surrounding it.

It is occurring right at the beginning of Gemini which could emphasize potential beginnings that it may bring to certain people. It may be connected to both Gemini and Pisces themes such as communication, writing, taking a multifaceted approach, learning, adaptability, creativity, spirituality, empathy, and compassion.

Mars in Cancer is Out Of Bounds, Sextile Uranus, and Square Chiron

Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio, has recently entered Cancer and will stay there until July 1st/2nd. Although this isn’t something that we may notice very strongly, Mars in Cancer (in comparison to other signs) can make our actions more fuelled by our emotions and sensitivity. We can be more protective, defensive, less directly assertive and more passive aggressive.

In late April, Mars went ‘Out of Bounds’. This is when a planet travels outside of the boundaries in which it usually orbits from our Earth based perspective. It will stay like that until mid-June. This energy is about doing things differently and taking an unusual approach outside of conventional norms. This is good for exploring new territory and tapping into originality.

Mars is moving towards a sextile with Uranus which is strongest from May 21st-23rd. Although this energy is short term, it has similarities to being ‘Out of Bounds’ and can trigger some of the themes mentioned above. This is great for trying new things. We may want to take an unconventional, innovative, liberating, or technological approach to something. It could be good for making positive changes and in some cases we may experience pleasant surprises.

Mars is also moving towards a square with Chiron which is strongest from May 22nd-24th and overlaps with the energy mentioned above. At best, this can be good for taking action towards healing and personal growth. It can support the Mars-Uranus and ‘Out of Bounds’ influence in helping us to do things in a different way. However, this energy can also trigger issues or wounds connected to anger, aggression, or sexuality.

Venus in Taurus Conjunct Uranus

Venus, the ruler of Taurus, recently entered its home sign of Taurus where it will stay until June 8th/9th. Just like Mars in Cancer, this isn’t something that we will notice strongly. Venus in Taurus (in comparison to other signs) can make us seek pleasure more so around stimulating the senses, material things, luxury, and food/substances. We may value quality and practicality more so than usual.

Venus makes an exact conjunction with Uranus hours before the Full Moon, however it may have even been a bit noticeable in the few days prior. This energy can be exciting, stimulating or surprising either socially or romantically or we may meet people who are interesting and unique.

We may be more drawn to, or participate in, unusual or fun experiences or do something that makes us feel free and liberated. We may want to make aesthetic changes to something and this can even be good for expressing creative energy in new ways.

There may be some surprising developments around money and resources which can be positive or negative. In some cases, there can also be a shift around certain values or how we value something. This energy can also reflect instability, disruption, rebellion, or a sudden change in our relations, financially, and can even happen in other ways not related to Venus.

Things To Consider At This Time

What are your feelings telling you at this time and do they conflict with your mind? How can you integrate deep or complex feelings with practical or rational consideration? Do you need to make any changes around values or finances? What are your true desires?

Do you need to take a different approach or shake things up in your social relationships or love life? Do you feel like you need to take a chance and apply yourself in a new or unconventional way? Is there anything that you can be doing that can potentially help you to feel more liberated? Does anything need to be purged or transformed?

These are just some examples of themes that could come up during this period; however, there may be other variations of this energy playing out as well.  If you wish to do any sort of intentional release connected to what has come up at this Full Moon, it is best to do so anytime over the two weeks following, when it is waning. The exact moment of this Full Moon is on the night of May 18th at 9:11pm Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

Full Moon In Libra: Approaching Changes

We are having a 2nd Full Moon in Libra on April 19th; however, it will appear fullest on the night of the 18th in the American continents. This is the peak of the Lunar cycle that began on April 5th with a New Moon in Aries.

This Full Moon happens with the Sun opposing the Moon right at the tail end of Aries and Libra, at the 29th degree, less than a day before we begin Taurus season. The energies of a sign tend to be more heightened at these points. Also, with it being a 2nd consecutive Full Moon in the same sign, it is an ‘Astrological Blue Moon,’ which is something that occurs once every 3 years. This also amplifies the energies of this polarity of signs over an extended period.

During this Full Moon, we can experience either a push-pull or collaboration between the Sun in Aries and Moon in Libra. The energies of it gradually build up and become more noticeable on the day of and days surrounding the Full Moon. It is also part of the backdrop of the other astrological influences/reflections over the following two weeks.

Aries is a fire sign ruled by Mars. It is about action, moving forward, pioneering, independence, self-identity, self-orientation, and leadership. It is bold, courageous, and instinctual, yet it can also be aggressive, impulsive, impatient, selfish, and hot-tempered.

Libra is an Air sign ruled by Venus. It is about relating, relationships, partnerships, codependency, consideration, harmony, balance, fairness, art, creativity, and beauty. It is sociable, diplomatic, and intellectual, yet it can also be indecisive, passive aggressive, vain, and even judgemental.

Full Moon Quincunx Venus, Opposing Sun/Uranus Conjunction

Venus is the ruler of Libra and is in a quincunx aspect with this Full Moon. This could indicate frustrations, challenges between emotional needs, relationship considerations, balance, fairness, or equality with values, finances, or other aspects of our relationships. The solution to this may require adjustments, which may seem complicated.

Venus is about to change signs just like the Sun and Moon. It is currently near the end of Pisces, which is also the end of the entire zodiac. All of this combined with Uranus being tied into this Full Moon could indicate some sort of change or transition regarding some of the themes mentioned in this article.

The Sun is moving close to Uranus in Taurus with the Moon in opposition to it. This could reflect surprises, instability, and disruptive or separative circumstances. Individual needs connected to freedom, liberation, new experiences, excitement, independence, authenticity, innovation, or rebellion may be at odds with other considerations or relationships.

Jupiter is also in a separating aspect with the Sun and Moon. This could emphasize some of what is mentioned above, but could also bring in themes connected to beliefs, opinions, travel, education, media, and marketing. Considering that Jupiter recently began its retrograde, many people may experience a shift or revisitation around these things as well.

Mars Square Neptune, Mercury and Venus in Aries Conjunct Chiron

Mars, the ruler of Aries, is in Gemini moving towards a square with Neptune in Pisces, which is strongest from April 25th-28th. At best, this energy can be good for asserting ourselves in a spiritual, inspired, imaginative, or creative way. This can also be good for activities that involve water.

However, it can feel harder to take on mundane duties and we can lack direction or even have less energy for physical assertion. We can also feel lazy, scattered, or overwhelmed. Certain efforts might end up not working out due to insufficient execution, lack of attention, or by other means.

Mercury entered Aries a few days before this Full Moon, where it will stay until May 6th. This follows an extended stay in Pisces due to the previous retrograde. We can be more mentally sharp, quick, bold, and courageous in comparison to the last few months, which were a time of heightened absent mindedness, confusion, and less focus.

During the day of this Full Moon and the days surrounding it, Mercury is in a conjunction Chiron. Thoughts and communications could be connected to Chiron themes of healing, wounds, blockages, inadequacies, innovation, bridging, or perhaps some sort of holistic orientation. Venus will also enter Aries and join Chiron from April 21st-24th. Similar themes could play out in our relationships or regarding values, finances, or beauty.

Saturn and Pluto Going Retrograde Near The South Node

Around the time of the previous New Moon, Pluto was aligned with the South Node, and it has been slowing down to go retrograde on April 24th. This could be bringing themes of purging, transforming, and perhaps endings into this Moon cycle. It is also possible that past issues or behaviours could have resurfaced. Themes connected to fears, power, control, manipulation, shadows, sex, or perhaps even death could also come up.

Saturn is also now getting closer to the South Node as it slows down to go retrograde on April 29th. This could extend and accentuate some of the same themes mentioned above such as endings, changes, or obstacles associated with the past.

It can also bring up themes connected to responsibilities, commitments, boundaries, structures, career obligations, barriers, and limitations. This energy will be strong over the coming 2-3 weeks, especially during the days surrounding April 29th. It will also be strong in the early Summer and then early Fall when it concludes.

Things To Consider During This Period

What do you need to do to balance your relationship needs with your individual ones? Are there any adjustments that you need to make? What do you need to do to feel more liberated? What considerations do you need to make before making any changes?

What areas of your life are calling for endings and what aspects of your past do you need to let go of? Do you need to shift your commitments and responsibilities? Are there any unusual solutions coming up that could help you overcome obstacles or facilitate some sort of healing?

These are just some examples of themes that could come up during this period; however, there may be other variations of this energy playing out as well.  If you wish to do any sort of intentional release connected to what has come up at this Full Moon, it is best to do so anytime over the two weeks following, when it is waning. The exact moment of this Full Moon is on the night of April 19th at 11:12am Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

Supermoon In Virgo: Balancing Practical Matters With Idealism

We are having a Full Moon in Virgo on February 19th at 3:53pm Universal Time. This is the peak of the Lunar Cycle that began on February 4th with a New Moon in Aquarius. It will also be a Supermoon, which is when the Moon appears larger and brighter due to its closer proximity to the Earth. For those in North and South America, it appears the brightest on the night of the 18th.

A Full Moon is when we feel a push-pull between the two opposite signs where the Sun and Moon are located, in this case being Pisces and Virgo. It gradually builds up and becomes more noticeable on the day of and days surrounding it. It is also  part of the backdrop of the other astrological energies over the following 2 weeks.

Pisces season begins less than a day before this Full Moon occurs. It is associated with sensitivity, compassion, empathy, spirituality, creativity, inspiration, dreams, imagination, oneness, and idealism. Negatively, this sign can also be unrealistic, flaky, elusive, delusional, deceptive, and is associated with escapism and intoxication.

The Moon brings in the sign of Virgo into the equation which can either be at odds with Pisces energies or could work harmoniously with them in some sort of balance. Virgo is associated with duty, service, productivity, practicality, organizing, analyzing, perfection, cleanliness, and purity. It is systematic, detailed, discerning, and good at problem solving. Negatively, Virgo can be cynical, overly critical, fussy, high strung, and too much in the the head.

Both signs are associated with health, wellness, and healing, with Virgo being more about physical health and physical modalities, while Pisces is more about spiritual/emotional health and modalities. They are adaptable signs and are both about helping others.

Full Moon Trine Mars and Uranus

This Full Moon is in a trine with Mars and Uranus which are separating from a conjunction with each other. Mars just recently entered Taurus on February 14th. Uranus is making its final transition from Aries to Taurus which will happen on March 6th, hours before the next New Moon.

The Mars-Uranus influence could signify a period of doing certain things differently or acting on new experiences. It could be about applying ourselves in a way that is more liberating, exciting, innovative, unconventional, experimental, or breaking from limitations. Considering that Uranus is changing signs, over the next few weeks there can also be some surprises, significant shifts, and sudden changes which can either be harmonious and supportive or disruptive and challenging.

The Sun will also be travelling while in a close aspect with Mars until early March, but will be strongest from February 27th-28th. With Mars in Taurus, this is a time of asserting ourselves in a way that is methodical, practical, and even sensual in some cases.

Sun and Moon Aligned With Prominent Stars

This Full Moon will be in a tight alignment with the star Regulus which is known as the ‘heart of the lion.’ This star is in the constellation of Leo but moved into the tropical sign of Virgo in 2012 and still on the cusp of those signs. It is about courage, leadership, and prominence. It is daring, proud, and can also be big hearted.

The Sun is aligned with the star Fomalhaut which is in both the constellation and sign of Pisces This star amplifies the qualities of its sign and has magical, artistic, and otherworldly qualities.

The ‘Great American Eclipse’ that occurred in August 2017 and the following Solar Eclipse in February 2018 were near the same spots of where the Sun and Moon are during this Full Moon, yet in different signs. It is possible that you may see some areas of your life get triggered over the next few weeks similarly to areas of your life that were affected over a year long period from mid 2017 until mid 2018. However, it will still be different and those eclipses had more significance overall.

Mercury In Pisces Conjunct Neptune, Sextile Venus/Saturn/Pluto, Square Jupiter and Going Retrograde In Two Weeks

Mercury begins its pre-retrograde shadow period hours before the peak of this Full Moon. Over the next few weeks, much of what plays out or develops will go through a sorting out and adjustment period throughout March until early April. I will be writing a separate article on it, you can join my mailing list here to ensure that you receive my content.

Virgo’s ruler Mercury is in the opposing sign of Pisces which is where the Sun is. It is also aligned with Neptune, a modern ruler of Pisces, which makes it even more Piscean. Mercury doesn’t perform the way it wants to when in this sign. It lessens the analytical, intellectual, and rational qualities of this planet. Instead it perceives things in a more abstract, symbolic, sensory, or intuitive way.

All the Neptune/Pisces energy can make us more dreamy, less in touch with reality, forgetful, and inhibit mental focus. Communications and thoughts can be less direct, confusing, and misunderstood. However it can also be divinely inspired, psychic, compassionate, fantasy based, or directed by emotional energy.

Mercury and Neptune are also in a sextile with Saturn, Venus, and Pluto. Usually Mercury in aspect with Saturn can be good for practical thinking and focus, however, the Neptune influence mentioned is a lot stronger here. If anything this aspect with Saturn can good for constructive effort towards ideals, visions, creativity, selfless acts, or anything to do with spirituality.

Many people can also experience increased social interactions or romantic developments that can have some significance. However, considering that the South Node and an upcoming retrograde is in the mix, some of of this could have to do with the past or perhaps old behaviours and aspirations being triggered.

Mercury is moving towards a square with Jupiter which is the traditional ruler of Pisces. We can be overly broad minded, idealistic, or even judgemental. We can overlook details easily, over-exaggerate, and overextend ourselves. However, this can also be good for learning and expanding our minds. This energy will be strongest on February 22nd in the West, and the 23rd in the East.

Chiron Returns To Aries, Will Be There Until 2027

Chiron has just re-entered Aries where it will be until April 2027. We already got a taste of this energy last year from April to September before it retrograded back into Pisces. This Full Moon is in a quincunx with Chiron, and therefore it is possible that some of the issues below might come up during this period.

Chiron is the ‘wounded healer’, it reflects our wounds, blocks, traumas, and negative patterns. However, it is also the key unlocking our untapped or suppressed potential. Through our own healing and self-awareness, we become more whole and more of who we truly are. This is what Chiron is about, it is both the roadblock and the bridge.

Collectively, Chiron is going to trigger Aries themes for the next 8 years. However, like all other astrological influences, much of how it plays out for depends on how it is interacting with your personal birth chart based on the exact time you were born.

Aries is about self-identity, independence, leadership, initiation, and assertiveness. It can be direct, competitive, combative, hot tempered, impulsive, and forceful. Our wounds and challenges connected to these things could come to help us grow, become more aware, and make positive changes. We will see more of this unfold during certain periods over the upcoming years.

This Chiron in Aries period will be the most significant for those born between February 1969 and May 1976, as well as for those born between early April and mid-October of 1968. For these groups it will bring up deeper core wounds to help facilitate the potential for healing, awareness, and empowerment. It can help to develop a constructive relationship with aspects of oneself that have either been destructive, limiting, distorted, or inhibiting.

Supermoon Total Eclipse In Leo: Making Changes To Support Our Self-Expression

We are having a Total Lunar Eclipse, commonly referred to as a ‘Blood Moon’, which will appear in its totality on the night of January 20th leading into morning of the 21st in the western world. It was also be a Supermoon which is when it appears larger due to its closer proximity to the Earth. The entire eclipse process from beginning to end will be visible from the Americas as well as parts of Northern Europe and parts of the European West Coast, including the UK.

It will also appear in totality throughout Western Europe, most of Central Europe, Western Africa, and parts of Russia. It will appear partially in the Middle East, Africa, parts of Russia, and the Northern half of Japan. It will peak at 5:16am Universal Time (12:16 EST), and will begin just over 2 hours prior. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

This Lunar Eclipse follows a Solar Eclipse in Capricorn that occurred on January 5th/6th and initiated this lunar cycle. The energies of each Eclipse generally plays out over the following 6 months and can begin up to 6 weeks prior. However, they are also part of a 2 year process in which the Lunar Nodes and other Eclipses are in the same signs.

This eclipse season has the energies of the Eclipse/Lunar Node process that began two years ago in the Leo/Aquarius axis and also the new process in the Cancer/Capricorn axis in which we have been transitioning into. This Blood Moon in Leo marks the final Eclipse of the Leo/Aquarius re-orientation, and it’s possible that the themes that play out in your life can be connected to something that has already been playing out.

Total Lunar Eclipse In Leo Opposite Sun in Aquarius & Mercury, Square Uranus

A Lunar Eclipse is a supercharged Full Moon which is when the Earth gets in the way of the Sun’s light and dims it during its climax. This reflects a furthering shift in our lives in relation to the Leo-Aquarius polarity.

Leo is about our individual self-expression, what brings us joy, and inspiration from the heart. It is also associated with creativity, performing, passion, children, romance, hobbies, and leadership. Leo is about what makes us great as individuals.  This sign is also associated with the ego and the eclipses that have been occurring here can help to facilitate changes in how we express our ego.

Although Aquarius has individualistic qualities that it shares with Leo, it is also the sign of friends, groups, social networks, the team, and humanity. It views the unique and authentic qualities of an individual as an important and contributing factor to the collective. Aquarius is also intellectual, progressive, and innovative. It can be aloof, overly objective, too scientific, dispassionate, impersonal, and detached.

This eclipse process over the last few years can reflect changes in how we apply both Leo and Aquarius qualities, and also how they correlate with each other. The focus is more about stepping into Leo energies in new ways, and changes on the Aquarian side to help support that. Both beginnings and endings around themes connected to both signs can occur.

Similarly to the Last Lunar Eclipse in the Summer, this one (along with Mercury) is in a square with Uranus on the Aries/Taurus cusp. Uranus here emphasizes change as well as the individualistic qualities of both of these signs, while also sharing other Aquarian themes as well.

Being in a square, it can also manifest in a challenging or strong way. It can be separative, rebellious, or disruptive. Perhaps sudden and unexpected things can play out, or bring instability to an area of our life. It can also be liberating and revolutionary for us. With Mercury here on the South Node, this could also indicate changing or releasing something connected to the way we think or communicate.

Venus Conjunct Jupiter, Square Neptune

Venus in Sagittarius is moving towards a conjunction with Jupiter, while they are both in a square with Neptune in Pisces and a trine with Mars in Aries. This energy can be expansive and fortunate socially, romantically, and for some people financially. Fun and pleasure can be connected to things like travel, education, or even spiritual and creative pursuits.

However, their can also be some confusion around these area as well. Being excessive around indulgences, pleasures, spending money, escapism, intoxication, or anything fantasy based can also be a theme. This energy is strongest from January 21st-22nd.

Mars Square Saturn & Trine Jupiter, Saturn Sextile Neptune

Mars is in a square with Saturn while moving towards a trine with Jupiter. Saturn is also in a sextile with Neptune. This can be a great energy for taking disciplined or structured action towards goals, aspirations, ideals, or anything that broadens our horizons.

Saturn pushes us to be realistic and cautious in how we take action while Jupiter reflects acting in an expansive way. Saturn can also bring some restrictions or obstacles which can help us change our course towards something more ideal. Much of these energies mentioned in this section are strong from January 20th-26th.

Mercury Approaching Superior Conjunction With Sun

Mercury joins the Sun on January 29th/30th in its ‘Superior Conjunction’ with the Sun. From our perspective on Earth, this is when Mercury is aligned with the Sun however it is on the other side of it. From this period onward, it is initiating its next phase in which it travels ahead of the Sun. We can have greater clarity regarding what has been building up or seeded since late November.

Our minds can be more aligned with our true needs and self-expression. Over the coming months, we can better implement our ideas and whatever we have been thinking about with greater confidence/direction in comparison to the previous two months.

To Consider During This Period

How can you better tap into your authentic self-expression? What inspires you and brings you joy? How can you bring more love into your life? What do need to change to make that happen? What do you want to create? Do you need to separate or liberate from something that is holding you back? How can you expand socially in way that is supportive of your authentic self? How can you make your ideals and dreams a reality? How do you feel during this eclipse period and what has been coming up for you?

These are just some examples of things to consider but not limited to them either. If you decide to use this energy to intentionally release something from your life, it is best to start that after the Moon begins to wane after the peak of the Full Moon, or even over the following two weeks.

The exact moment of the peak will be at 5:16am Universal Time on January 21st. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone. If the eclipse is visible in your location, remember that it begins approximately two hours before the peak and two hours following, and also depends on what time the Moon rises and sets in your location.

New Moon In Libra: Intensity In Relationships

We are having a New Moon in Libra on October 9th, 2018 at 3:47am Universal Time. This is initiating a 29.5 day Lunar cycle and a new wave of energy for the coming month. This cycle will peak at the Full Moon in Taurus that is occurring on October 24th.

The Sun entered the Libra (of the tropical zodiac) at the previous Equinox on September 22nd/23rd. As an air sign, it is social and intellectual. Libra is about all types of relationships, as well as balance, fairness, equality, compromise, harmony, and diplomacy. As a Venus ruled sign, it is also associated with beauty, aesthetics, creativity, and appreciation of art.

Libra is about consideration and cooperation, however, because of this it can also be indecisive and lack direct action. It is still an initiating energy because it is a Cardinal sign, yet it mainly initiates socially, intellectually or anything to do with relating. Libra can be ‘people pleasing’ which can also translate as superficiality and fakeness.

Venus, Ruler of Libra, Is Now Retrograde

Venus went retrograde on October 5th/6th which will last until November 16th. Retrogrades are a time to revisit, reflect on, and make adjustments to things represented by that planet. Venus rules all of the same things associated with Libra (as mentioned) and also rules over money, values, sensuality, femininity, and pleasures.

With Venus just beginning its retrograde just prior to the New Moon, this really emphasizes a shift a potential for changes and re-orientation regarding Venus-Libra areas of life throughout this Lunar cycle, yet will still play out in the month following. You can read more about this Venus retrograde here.

New Moon Conjunct Ceres and Square Pluto, Venus Square Mars

This New Moon is aligned with Ceres, once classified as an asteroid but now considered a dwarf planet by astronomers. It is a feminine energy associated with nurturing, mothering, unconditional love, fertility, family, food, agriculture, sustainability, as well as the rhythms and cycles of womanhood.

Ceres is also associated with grief, loss, and separation. It can be about destroying to regain what was lost. Ceres has become increasingly used in astrology over the last decade and this is reflected in the shifts society is experiencing around women’s issues/rights, as well as both the constructive and destructive aspects of modern day feminism.

This New Moon and Ceres are both in a square with Pluto. This can bring Plutonian energy to Libran and Ceres themes mentioned above. It can be transformative, purging, renovating, regenerating, deep, powerful, sexual, and evolutionary.

However, it is a tense square which increases the potential of the more challenging qualities which can be intense, obsessive, compulsive, manipulative, secretive, dark, destructive, fearful, vengeful, and can trigger jealousy, power struggles, or reveal hidden matters. This energy is strongest from October 11th-12th, but it builds up leading up to those dates.

Venus retrograde is in the Plutonian sign of Scorpio while also  in a square with Mars which is strongest October 10th/11th. This reinforces some of the same themes regarding that square with Pluto. This can be  passionate when it comes to matters of love, or even socially and creatively. However, it can also stimulate tension and conflict.

Mercury is also in an opposition with Uranus on the same day, and this combined with Venus square Mars can trigger impulsive spending of resources. This can also reflect stimulating communications, ideas, and innovative thinking. However, this can make it harder for us to focus our minds, and there can also be some sort of disruptions or potential separations.

Making Intentions And Things To Consider

What has been coming up for you recently regarding your social life,  matters of love, and sexuality? Do you feel like you need to proceed differently when it comes to these areas?

What major changes can you make to bring in more harmony and balance in your life or regarding relationships? How could you evolve in your creative expression?  Do you feel like you need to make an aesthetic or stylistic revision in some way?

These are just some examples of what to consider or focus your intentions on at this time, however, it is good to reflect on anything else that is coming up for you. It is generally best to make any intentions within the first 24 hours following a New Moon. However, the closer the better and can be as early as 30 minutes prior to the exact moment of it. This New Moon will be occurring at 3:47am Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

New Moon In Virgo: Getting Things Done

We are having a New Moon in Virgo on September 9th, 2018 at 6:02pm Universal Time. This is initiating a 29.5 day Lunar cycle and a new wave of energy for the coming month. This cycle will peak at the Full Moon that is occurring on September 24th/25th.

We have been in Virgo season since August 23rd with its ruler Mercury also there since September 5th/6th. Virgo is one of three Earth signs which are  practical, realistic, grounded, and have a stronger orientation and sense toward the physical/material world. Compared to the other Earth signs, it is mutable and ruled by Mercury which makes it more adaptable, multitasking, problem solving, and mentally oriented.

Virgo is a task oriented sign. It is about the work that needs to get done, how we take care of our bodies and health, how we organize our lives, how efficient and sustainable we are, and how we can be of service. Virgo is analytical, orderly, systematic, meticulous, clean, pure, discriminating, and the perfectionist. It can also be overly critical, fault finding, irritable, and restless.

It’s interesting to note that in the Northern Hemisphere, Virgo season is the last month of Summer with Autumn beginning the last week of September. However I find that the majority of people view early September (or even late August) as the end of Summer. This is partly because Virgo season is less about fun (like the previous sign Leo is) and more about getting to work. Part of this has to do with school beginning for most people which is ultimately a reflection of Virgo season.

New Moon In Harmonious Aspects With Jupiter And Pluto

Jupiter in Scorpio is finishing off its sextile with Pluto in Capricorn. It was strong in January when it began and in April during Jupiter’s retrograde. It is possible that now we can experience a conclusion process in relation to what was occuring or initiating during those periods.  This New Moon is in a direct aspect with these planets and brings its own Virgoan energy into the equation.

This sextile with Jupiter and Pluto can be empowering and transformative both in our personal development or even financially in some cases. It can also facilitate in our quest for deeper understandings, truths, and can also reveal things that were hidden. It can even reflect growth around sexuality, finances, and how we use our power.

Considering that the New Moon in Virgo is collaborating with this energy, some of the themes mentioned in the previous paragraph could be connected to our work, duties, lifestyle, and health. Some people may notice this through positive and strengthening career developments,. Jupiter in Scorpio can open some doors through shared or borrowed resources becoming available.

Venus Square Mars While Both In Transition

At the time of this New Moon, Venus is on the cusp of Libra/Scorpio while it is in a square with Mars which is on the cusp of Capricorn/Aquarius. Mars recently finished its retrograde and is still in its post shadow period while Venus is slowing down to go retrograde in early October. This combined with the fact that they are both changing signs in the same period signifies a time of transitions regarding Venus and Mars energies.

We are in a period in which we are integrating and moving forward with some of the Mars Retrograde lessons, themes, and developments which occurred this past summer. It could have to do with how we assert ourselves, how we take action, how we deal anger/aggression, and could also have to do with sexuality.

With Venus preparing to go retrograde in both Libra and Scorpio, we will gradually experience new developments around love, relationships, sex, values, beauty, creativity, and even financially. This will set the stage for necessary adjustments during the retrograde and post-retrograde period from October to December.

This square between Venus and Mars could be about how we are applying our recent Mars lessons and reorientations towards the mentioned Venus related areas which will undergo its own recalibration process. This energy can also be passionate yet intense when it comes to matters of love. Some people may experience a conflict between love and sex.

Venus and Mars Also Applying A Hard Aspect With Uranus

The Venus square Mars aspect mentioned above is also interacting with Uranus which can also bring sudden changes, instability, disruptions, loss, separations, and rebelliousness in relationships or even financially. Challenges around freedom may come up. This can also reflect new and exciting energy around relations or pleasurable pursuits.

However, we can be impulsive when it comes to seeking pleasures or spending money, and would be wise to think things through before doing something you might regret.. This energy is strongest around September 11th-12th, and can also play out from September 17th-19th.

Mercury and New Moon in Virgo Opposing Neptune in Pisces

In the days prior to this New Moon, the Sun in Virgo made an opposition with Neptune while Mercury also in Virgo will do the same around September 13th-14th. Although Virgoan energy is detailed, focused, and hard working, the Neptune influence can bring an element of confusion, dreamy or delusional thinking, mental laziness, and perhaps even carelessness.

Communications with others may not be clear or perhaps we may not say things correctly, and is also not the most ideal time to make agreements. This is kind of similar to Mercury retrograde. However, this can be great for applying our mind towards creative or imaginative efforts.

Saturn Just Ended Its Retrograde While In A Trine With Uranus

On September 6th, Saturn ended its retrograde which began on April 17th. Theses transition periods are when the energy of the planet becomes more apparent, in the weeks before and after the change in motion. We may experience developments or feelings connected to Saturn themes.

Saturn rules responsibility, commitment, discipline, duty, effort, boundaries, as well as cautious and conservative approaches. It is in its own sign of Capricorn, which is about ambition, hard work, mastery, goals, career, and status.

Saturn has been getting close to a trine with Uranus in Taurus in the past few weeks and will separate over the coming weeks. This is good for trying new, innovative, or technological approaches towards our work, responsibilities, routines, and perhaps lifestyle in some cases. Their can also be developments that can give us more freedom.

Making Intentions And Things To Consider

What can you do to organize your life and manage your tasks better? What steps should you take to improve your health and lifestyle? Is there anything playing out now connected to a process that began in January which can help you to move forward in a more empowered way?

How should you proceed forward based on the developments that have come up for you in the last week in relation to your responsibilities, commitments, and career? What actions can you take to help you feel more liberated?

These are just some examples of what to consider or focus your intentions on at this time, however, it is good to reflect on anything else that is coming up for you. It is generally best to make any intentions within the first 24 hours following a New Moon. However, the closer to the New Moon the better and can be as early as 30 minutes prior to the exact moment of it. This New Moon will be occurring at 6:02pm Universal Time. Full Moon In Pisces: Tapping Into Our Magic

We are having a Full Moon in Pisces on August 26th 2018. This is the peak of this Lunar Cycle which was initiated by a Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 11th. The energies of a Full Moon may start to become noticeable in the days leading up to it and in the days following, however, it is strongest in the 12 hours before and after. It can also reflect how things play out over following two weeks.

This Full Moon is the first lunation since June 28th that is not an eclipse, however, the energies of the previous eclipses are still in the backdrop of what it is happening at this time and in the coming months as well. Mercury also ended its retrograde one week prior to this, with Mars ending its retrograde the day after this Full Moon, and Saturn getting close to ending one as well.

Considering all of this, now and in the coming weeks is a period in which things can begin move forward after a process of re-orientation and potential changes. For everybody, it can be in different areas of your life depending on how these energies correspond with your natal birth chart. You can read more about the general themes of these eclipses and retrogrades here.

Full Moon In Pisces Opposite Sun In Virgo

At every Full Moon we experience a push-pull or integration between the energies of two opposing signs, in this case it is the Sun in Virgo opposing the Moon in Pisces. We recently began Virgo season on August 23rd, the sign of physical health, duties, efficiency, purity, perfectionism, and service. It is a sign that is detailed, discerning, practical, realistic, productive, but can also be critical, nit-picky, and cynical.

The opposing sign of Pisces where the Full Moon is located is quite different. Pisces is more of a flowy and easygoing energy associated with compassion, creativity, spirituality, and oneness. It is dreamy, imaginative, idealistic, sensitive, and empathic. Pisces can also be elusive, flaky, deceptive, intoxicating, escapist, and delusional.

Virgo, as a Mercury ruled Earth sign, it has strong orientation around the physical and mundane world. Pisces being a Jupiter and Neptune ruled water sign, it is more invested in the spiritual and emotional aspects of life. Both signs are adaptable and are also associated with health in their own ways.

Full Moon Aligned With Fomalhaut and In A Kite Pattern With Earth Signs

This Full Moon is aligned with Fomalhaut, a prominent star which was traditionally one of the four royal stars. Fomalhaut shares many of the same traits as Pisces and somewhat amplifies them. It highlights the magical, artistic, and otherworldly qualities of Pisces. It also can amplify escapism tendencies and lack of being grounded in the real world.

This Full Moon is connected to a Grand Trine in Earth signs, forming what is called a ‘kite pattern’. Even though this Full Moon has many of the Piscean-Fomalhaut energies mentioned, there is still a lot of energy to keep things grounded, practical and realistic, especially considering that the Sun is in Virgo challenging the Moon, both in aspect with Saturn in Capricorn. This is a great energy for making things happen in the real world which also channels the creative, spiritual, imaginative, compassionate, and magical qualities of Pisces/Fomalhaut.

There can be some new developments or potential excitement connected to our careers, duties, and matters connected to the physical/material world. This can be great for original and innovative approaches to these areas, or even regarding our routines, tasks, and structures. In some cases, this could have something to with health and lifestyle.

Some people can be building something in a new way which can have lasting results. This can also be good for integrating more technological, scientific, metaphysical, or even astrological approaches towards these things.?

Mercury In Leo Square Jupiter In Scorpio

The rulers of both Pisces and Virgo, Jupiter and Mercury, are in a square aspect during this Full Moon. It will be strongest from August 27th-28th. This interplay between these two planets began in the second week of July and was also part of Mercury’s retrograde and peaked at the last Solar Eclipse. Due to these planets being the rulers of this Full Moon, it can add more tension to the opposition of Virgo-Pisces.

Around this time we can be more easily scattered. Their can be a clash between facts and ideals, as well as with details and broadmindedness. However, this can also be a great energy for learning and expanding the mind.

This is the post-retrograde and final square which may bring about some sort of a conclusion process to how this energy has been playing out throughout this summer. This may have to do with an adjustment or developments connected to your beliefs, ideals, faith, and understandings. Perhaps it can be about having realizations of our blind spots or deeper truths.

With Mercury in Leo, there can be some sort of expansive energy around our self-expression or in the way we think. Maybe this can be connected to plans or developments around education, travel, marketing, teaching, and publishing. With Jupiter being in Scorpio, it could also have themes around with financial matters, deeper understandings, transformation, or sexuality.

Venus Square Pluto, Mercury Sextile Venus

Venus in Libra is in a square with Pluto in Capricorn which is strongest the day of the Full Moon and the days surrounding it. This can playout as power struggles, possessiveness, intensity, manipulation, or changes amongst friendships, in social situations, or amongst lovers. Fears around these areas can come up or hidden matters may surface.

For some people, this could manifest as challenges around financial matters, however, it can even play out as financial gain. Even with any of the potential challenges mentioned above, this can be a passionate energy romantically or even socially. It can also be good for some sort of aesthetic transformation.

Venus is also in a sextile with Mercury in Leo which will peak from September 2nd-4th after the Pluto energy (mentioned above) fades. Although this isn’t a strong aspect, it still favours social interactions and communications which can be more graceful, diplomatic, and loving. This is great for developing or working on creative idea and it even manifest as financial benefits for some.

Mars About To End Retrograde Followed By Saturn

At the time of this Full Moon, Mars is in its final day of being retrograde which began on June 26th and peaked in late July and early August around the time of the Total Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius. This has been a time of re-orientation and even a release of how we apply Mars in our lives. It is associated with assertion, drive, aggression, physical action, sexuality, motivations, and desires.

In has been mostly in Aquarius while aligned with the South Node and square Uranus. Its themes may have been oriented around the collective, groups, colleagues, friends, social media, as well as humanitarian and social issues. It may even be connected to how we assert ourselves with our intellect or how we apply our innovative selves.

Mars finishes its retrograde at the end of Capricorn which can bring themes connected to our goals, ambitions, careers, responsibilities, and perhaps apply ourselves with better structure, resourcefulness, and in a more solid way. Also, Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) is getting close to ending its retrograde there on September 6th. All of this combined is an indicator of moving forward in new ways in regards to the Capricorn themes mentioned.

Things To Consider During This Period

What developments have come up for you over the last few months and what are the solutions in how you need to proceed? How can you achieve real and tangible results using your creative expression or spiritual awareness? How can you integrate innovative, technological, or unconventional approaches towards career, duties, health, or lifestyle? Is there anything coming up that is asking you to balance the spiritual with the physical? What do you need to be learning at this time? How can you make your dreams a reality?

These are just some examples of what may be coming up for you, however, there may be other variations of this energy playing out as well.  If you wish to do any sort of intentional release connected to what has come up at this Full Moon, it is best to do so anytime over the two weeks following, when it is waning. The exact moment of this Full Moon is on August 26th at 11:56 am Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

Solar Eclipse In Leo: Evolving Our Authentic Self-Expression

We are having a partial Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 11th, 2018 which will be the third and final eclipse of this Summer. This is a supercharged New Moon which influences a longer-term period. It will be visible from Russia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Northeastern Quebec, Greenland, Iceland, and Northeastern Asia.

Prior to this, we have had a Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 12th/13th and a Total Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius on July 27th/28th happening in the same eclipse season. Solar Eclipses influence the following 6 months while Lunar Eclipses influence the following 1-3 months. However, they are part of a process that began in May 2017 when the Lunar Nodes entered the Leo-Aquarius axis which will last until this November. (Read more about the previous eclipses here).

The Eclipses and the Nodes in these signs are part of an evolutionary process in how we work with these energies. What results from this period will have longer-term effects even beyond this 18 month period.

The North Node has been in Leo, and this pushes us towards new directions in how we express Leo energies, while the South Node is in Aquarius which is more about what we need to let go of in how we express the areas represented by that sign. However, we can experience both beginnings and endings with both.

Solar Eclipse Conjunct Mercury Retrograde In Leo

Similarly to last summer, we have both a Solar Eclipse and Mercury Retrograde occurring in the same sign of Leo. This really emphasizes the re-working and adjustments of how we apply its energy in our lives. It is about how we want to shine in the world, our creative energy, and how we self-express from the heart.

Leo is associated with affection, children, courage, leadership, generosity, and playfulness. It is also about our vitality, passion, and being in alignment with what really lights us up and gets us excited. It is about how we seek praise and attention. The best way to approach that is to be our authentic and heart centred version of ourselves; whether it be in our creations, how we perform, or how we express other Leo traits previously mentioned.

The negative expressions of Leo can be egotistical, authoritarian, dramatic, stubborn, jealous, and hot-tempered.  It can demand respect without earning it and be too loud and boisterous without considering or caring about how others respond to that. However, the more we are working with Leo energy positively, we will attract a more positive and supporting response from those on the receiving end.

This process is about really tuning in to how we shine and express ourselves at our best. It is also about considering how we want to be seen in the world, yet, without being overly occupied with ideas of how we can get the most attention and praise. It can be good to take actions towards how we want to stand out, but it’s important to balance that out with our true authentic higher expression of who we already are.

On August 8th and 9th, Mercury retrograde made its exact conjunction with the Sun which is an important part of the retrograde process known as the ‘inferior conjunction’. Certain things that occurred during this period can help you have a realization in how you need to apply yourself over the coming months.

Reflect on your thoughts, conversations, insights, circumstances, and any other messages or realizations you received from the Universe at that time. Perhaps there was something that triggered you or got your attention? Whatever it was, it is partly connected to whatever shifts that this eclipse is triggering in your life.

Solar Eclipse and Mercury Retrograde Square Jupiter

Both the Eclipse and Mercury retrograde are in a square with Jupiter which ended its retrograde in Scorpio a month prior. Some of the Leo themes mentioned above, and what occurred on August 8th/9th, could somehow be connected to Jupiter ruled areas. This may have to do with an adjustment or developments connected to your beliefs, ideals, faith, and understandings. Perhaps it can be about having realizations of our blind spots or deeper truths.

There can be some sort of expansive energy around our self-expression or in the way we think. Maybe this can be connected to plans or developments around education, travel, marketing, teaching, and publishing. In some cases, it could have something to do with financial matters or sexuality. Whatever it is, it may be connected to something that was initiated in March, July, or sometime in between them.

This energy can also scatter our minds and communications. Mercury is also in a quincunx with Neptune which triggers confusion, distractions, and miscommunications. Our thoughts and conversations might also be at odds with our ideals, dreams, fantasies, illusions, or an expression of escapism.

Jupiter is making its final trine with Neptune in Pisces which began late November/December and was also strong in mid-late May. This can be great for any growth and expansiveness around spirituality, creativity, as well as selfless and compassionate pursuits. This can also be good for anything that involves visual arts, video, and photography.

Some people could have mystical experiences and perhaps some learning can occur through our dreams or connections to spiritual realms. This can be a time of heightened sensitivity. Considering that Mercury is in the process of changing motion when this energy is strongest (from August 14th – 23rd), it’s likely that the potential manifestations of this period will play a role in any clarity that we receive in how we need to move to proceed as Mercury begins moving forward after August 19th.

Mars Retrograde Going In Capricorn

As discussed in previous articles, Mars has been retrograde since late June and will last until August 27th, just after the next Full Moon. Most of it has been occurring in Aquarius, however, less than 2 days after this eclipse it re-enters Capricorn. Over these coming weeks, there could also be adjustments and developments in how we apply ourselves within the Capricorn realm.

It could be connected to our careers, responsibilities, goals, and overall ambitions. Perhaps revisiting how we can assert ourselves in a more orderly, practical, productive, conservative, masterful, structured, and disciplined way. Aquarius is about our social connections, while Capricorn is about resourcefulness, therefore this retrograde can be about how we utilize our social network and teamwork in pursuing our shared goals.

Making Intentions And Things To Consider

What is your heart calling on you to create? How can you express yourself as authentically as possible? What are you passionate about and how can you share that with the world? What has come up for you in the days leading up to this eclipse? What adjustments do you need to make in order to help you fulfill your heart’s desires?

What can you do to bring more joy into your life? How can you be a better leader and/or lover? What are the practical considerations at this time to help you fulfill your passions? What adjustments need to be made with your social network to assist you in fulfilling your goals?

These are just some examples of what to consider during this time. However, keep in mind that the energies of this eclipse will also be a part of the backdrop over the coming months. If you wish to make any intentions, it is generally best to do so within the first 24 hours following the New Moon. However, with this one specifically, it is most ideal to wait 18 hours after the exact moment of it when it occurs. The exact time of this New Moon will be at 9:58am Universal Time on August 11th. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.
