New Moon In Gemini: Adaptability & Confusion

We are having a New Moon in Gemini on May 22nd or 23rd, depending on where you are located in the world. This is initiating a 29.5-day Lunar cycle and a new wave of energy for the coming month, however, its themes will be strongest over the following 2 weeks. This cycle will peak with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5th/6th.

Gemini season has just begun on May 20th/21st with it’s ruler Mercury also there. As an Air sign it is socially and mentally oriented, while as a Mutable sign it is versatile, adaptable, and multi-faceted. Mutable signs are the last of each season which is a reflection of its changeable nature to help facilitate a transition from one thing to the next.

Gemini’s energy is curious, communicative, articulate, informative, agile, busy, clever, and dualistic. It has chameleon-like properties and is the sign of multiple expressions or personalities. Gemini is associated with information, learning, writing, commuting, immediate environment, neighbours/neighbourhood, siblings, close friends, and extended family. Negatively, it can be gossipy, superficial, inconsistent, scattered, two faced, unfocused, and lack emotion.

Venus is currently retrograde in Gemini and the Lunar North Node also recently entered this sign. All of this puts an exclamation mark on Gemini themes at this time. The North Node will be there until early 2022 which reflects a push towards working with Gemini energies in a positively constructive way. Much of this process is getting emphasized over this next month. You can read more about Venus retrograde here.

New Moon Trine Saturn, Sextile Chiron, & Square Mars With Uranus In The Mix

This New Moon is in a tight trine with Saturn in Aquarius and sextile with Chiron. In comparison to previous months, these upcoming weeks can have more of a stabilizing energy. This can be good for applying ourselves in a disciplined, realistic, and committed way.

The sextile to Chiron gives us a small dose of its themes. Chiron is associated with healing, wholeness, cleansing, spiritual growth, innovative ideas, and discovery. It is holistic, bridging, creative, and unorthodox. This energy will also come up May 27th-28th/29th.

The New Moon is also in a square with Mars in Pisces which is moving towards a sextile with Uranus. This in combination with all the Gemini can bring restlessness and scatteredness. It can also be competitive, impulsive, and combative. Following the New Moon period, this energy will build up in the coming weeks and peak at the upcoming Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius.

Mars is moving towards a sextile with Uranus which is strongest from May 24th-25th/26th. This is good for making changes or trying new things. We may want to apply ourselves in unique, experimental, or revolutionary ways. Pursuing some sort of independence or freedom is another way this energy can be expressed.

Mercury Conjunct Venus Retrograde, Both Square Neptune & Out Of Bounds

The ruler of Gemini, Mercury, is in a conjunction with Venus retrograde which are both in Gemini as well. This is one of the more significant periods of the Venus retrograde and can facilitate some realizations or issues that are part of the retrograde process.  Thoughts or issues pertaining to relationships, values, money, art, or something aesthetic related can be prominent.

However, with both of them in a square to Neptune there can be some confusion, idealism, misunderstandings, flakiness, delusion, disappointments, or problems around boundaries. Issues pertaining to escapism or intoxication can come up and this can be a time of feeling tired and lethargic. In some cases this energy can be creatively or spiritually stimulating. This is strongest on the day of and days surrounding the New Moon.

Both Mercury and Venus are ‘Out of Bounds’. This is when planets move outside of the boundaries in which the Sun travels in, from our perspective on Earth. It is about exploring new territory as well as going outside of our usual limitations and conventional ways of doing things. This can also reflect seeing things from a different perspective and objective thinking.

Mercury, the planet of the mind, perceptions, reason, communication, commuting, and commerce has been out of bounds since May 16th until June 9th/10th. Venus, the planet of love, relationships, social life, values, money, beauty, art, and aesthetics, has been out of bounds since April 1st until June 1st.

Approaching Eclipse Season

In the two weeks after this Full Moon we will have a Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5th/6th followed by a Solar Eclipse in Cancer on June 21st and another Lunar Eclipse in July. They are happening during Venus’ retrograde and post shadow, and will also overlap with an upcoming Mercury retrograde.

All of this combined shows that these coming months are a time of transitions, changes, and reorientations. Eclipses can reflect beginnings, endings, and even evolutionary developments pertaining to the sign it is in and in specific areas in each of our lives. However, their effects don’t always play out when they are occurring. They can also manifest sometime in the 6 months following and in some cases up to 6 weeks prior.

I will be writing separate articles on these eclipses, join my mailing list here to ensure that you are notified when they are published.

Making Intentions & Things To Consider

What has been coming up for you around love or regarding friendships? What are relationship dynamics showing you and in what ways do you lack clarity? How can you better communicate and harmonize how you interact with others? What are you learning about/through the information you are consuming and does it truly make sense for you? How can you better adapt to the circumstances in your life? What are your options for handling financial matters?

These are just some examples of what to consider or focus your intentions on at this time. However, it is good to reflect on anything else that is coming up for you. It is generally best to make any intentions within the first 24 hours following a New Moon. The exact moment it will occur is 5:39pm Universal Time on May 22nd, or the 23rd for those in the Eastern part of the world. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

Full Moon In Sagittarius: Expansive Inspiration

We are having a Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 17th with the Moon appearing the brightest on the night of June 16th in the Western world. The energies of it are strongest in the days before and after, however, it will still be a part of the backdrop over the following two weeks. This is the peak of the Lunar cycle which began on June 3rd with a New Moon in Gemini.

Full Moon’s are a period in which we feel a push-pull between two opposing signs, in this case being the Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius. It can reflect either a conflict or integration of both signs. We can feel this opposition happening individually within us and/or we can also experience it play out around us with some people (or circumstances) expressing the Gemini side and others expressing the Sagittarius side.

Gemini is an Air sign ruled by Mercury. It is socially and mentally oriented. Gemini is associated with communication and information. It is articulate, curious, clever, informative, quick witted, and dualistic. It is the sign of multiple personalities. Negatively, it can be gossipy, inconsistent, superficial, insincere, two-faced, and too much in the mind without consideration of the heart.

Sagittarius is a Fire sign ruled by Jupiter. It is adventurous, worldly, philosophical, idealistic, jovial, passionate, optimistic, expansive, outspoken, blunt, and free spirited. It is associated with beliefs, travel, teaching, publishing, and marketing. Negatively it can be arrogant, pretentious, preachy, exaggerating, irresponsible, reckless, and can overdo things without taking potential consequences into consideration.

Gemini and Sagittarius are both associated with learning. The difference between the two is that Sagittarius is more broad minded and invested in its own experiential or idealistic perspective. Gemini is more factual with information and details, generally from other sources, but may lack development in its own views in comparison. Also Gemini represents more of the local and immediate environment, while Sagittarius is the world at large. Both signs can be adaptable, versatile, yet can also be scattered.

Full Moon Aligned With The Galactic Center, Eclipses and Saturn Conjunct South Node Coming Up

This Full Moon is aligned with the Galactic Center which symbolically can have different meanings. It can represent higher consciousness, and tapping into new ideas, perspectives, and concepts. It can reflect experiences that help to push us forward in our evolution. It is even associated with extraterrestrials and ultra-terrestrial energy.

However, the evolutionary quality of the Galactic Center can also play out through immense pressures, challenges, and even destructiveness to help us bring in something new. Interestingly, this Full Moon is two weeks prior to a Solar Eclipse followed by a Lunar Eclipse in mid-July which fits in well with Galactic Center themes.

Eclipse season is a period that can feel heavy yet ultimately helps to facilitate certain changes in our lives which can play out in the months following. The effects of an eclipse can begin up to 6 weeks prior and can be felt more heavily as we get closer to it. I will be publishing separate content on them, you can join my mailing list here to ensure that you receive it.

Saturn will also make a 2nd conjunction with the South Node over the coming weeks during its retrograde. This aspect began in April and is part of a process that will conclude in early Fall. Ultimately it has to do with endings connected to issues of the past that can be holding us back from our future.

We may have to continue to go through some experiences related to this over the coming months before finally letting go of (or moving on from) whatever this is triggering in our lives. This energy can also feel a bit heavy, especially with Pluto close by. It may bring up themes connected to responsibilities, maturity, commitments, boundaries, structures, career obligations, barriers, and limitations.

Jupiter Square Neptune with Venus Triggering It, Saturn Sextile Neptune

As mentioned in previous articles, Jupiter in Sagittarius (also ruler of Sagittarius) is in a square with Neptune in Pisces throughout much of this year. It will be strong at this time with the Full Moon also triggering it.

This can be an expansive energy in regards to spirituality, creativity, imagination, dreams, idealism, or compassionate pursuits.  However, it can also be a time of confusion around beliefs, faith, and perspectives. This aspect on its own can be overly idealistic and can reflect overlooking. certain details and facts. However, Saturn’s aspect with Neptune (mentioned below) can help to mitigate that and can be different for everybody.

Saturn in Capricorn is making its second sextile with Neptune which is strong at the time of this Full Moon and the weeks before and after. It began in late January and will conclude in November.  This can assist us in taking a structured, realistic, disciplined, committed approach when it comes to ideals, dreams, inspirations, creativity, spirituality, or even anything that involves selflessness, compassion, or healing. For some people it may be connected to career and ambitions.

Venus in Gemini will be forming a T-square with Jupiter-Neptune which will be strongest on June 23rd, and on the 24th for those in the Eastern part of the world. At best, this energy can be good for creative pursuits or social activities that are spiritually oriented.

However, it can also play out as overdoing pleasurable activities or escapism. We also need to be cautious of being unrealistic around money or perhaps even overspending. There can also be conflicts around values, beliefs, and ideals. In our relations, we may experience confusion or issues around our boundaries.

Saturn in Capricorn is making its second sextile with Neptune. It began in late January and will conclude in November. Although this isn’t as strong as the Jupiter-Neptune aspect mentioned above, this can assist us in taking a structured, disciplined or committed approach when it comes to ideals, dreams, inspirations, creativity, spirituality, or even anything that involves selflessness, compassion, or healing.

Mercury Conjunct Mars Near North Node, Opposing Pluto With Saturn

Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is in Cancer while making a conjunction to Mars and close to the North Node. It is in an opposition to Pluto with Saturn and the South Node close by. This energy is strongest from June 18th-20th.

At best, this can reflect active and deep thinking. We might feel a need to act on or consider the future but may have to contend with challenges connected to the past. Or perhaps dealing with old obstacles can help us progress forward in some cases.

This can be a time in which there is a higher potential for conflicts, arguments, power struggles, compulsive behavior, and overall intensity. It would be good to be active at this time, however, it would also be wise to not do anything risky or potentially dangerous. This energy can also be positively utilized for actions that involve clearing, purging, transforming, or destroying.

Mercury will be going retrograde on July 7th, days after the next Solar Eclipse that is occurring on July 2nd. The pre-shadow period begins on June 20th so keep in mind that certain developments that occur after that date may go through a sorting out process until mid Summer. With all of this going on, a large percentage of people can expect some significant shifts over the next 6-8 weeks.

Things To Consider During This Period

What is the big picture for you and what do you need to take into consideration? Are there any aspects of your beliefs that you are lacking clarity around? What inspires you? What do you want to learn or teach? How can you make your ideals or dreams a reality? Have you been feeling pressure to make certain changes in your life? Do you need to address unfinished business? What aspects of your past do you need to sort out to help you expand forward?

These are just some examples of themes that could come up during this period; however, there may be other variations of this energy playing out as well.  If you wish to do any sort of intentional release connected to what has come up at this Full Moon, it is best to do so anytime over the two weeks following, when it is waning. The exact moment of this Full Moon is on June 17th at 8:31am Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

New Moon In Gemini: Inspiring Curiosity

We are having a New Moon in Gemini on June 3rd, 2019. It is initiating a 29.5-day Lunar cycle and a new wave of energy for the coming month, however, the astrological configurations mentioned in this article will be more prominent over the following two weeks. This cycle will peak with a Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 16th/17th.

We have been in Gemini season since May 21st with its ruler Mercury also in Gemini since the same day. As an Air sign it is socially and mentally oriented, while as a Mutable sign it is versatile, adaptable, and multi-faceted. Mutable signs are the last of each season which is a reflection of its changeable nature to help facilitate a transition from one thing to the next.

Gemini’s energy is curious, communicative, articulate, informative, busy, clever, and dualistic. It has chameleon-like properties and is the sign of multiple expressions or personalities. Gemini is associated with information, learning, writing, commuting, and agility. Negatively, it can be gossipy, superficial, inconsistent, scattered, two faced, unfocused, and lack emotion.

New Moon In Hard Aspect With Jupiter Square Neptune

Jupiter in Sagittarius is square Neptune in Pisces throughout much of 2019. The first exact hit of this energy was in January, the next one is coming in the middle of this month, and the final one will be in mid-late September.

At best this energy can be inspiring and compassionate. Expansive pursuits such as learning or travel may be based around beliefs, faith, spirituality, and creativity. This can be great for mystical experiences and it can also be supportive for creative pursuits such as visual arts/media or music.

However, it is a square which can also reflect the challenging potentials of this energy. We can be unrealistic, overly idealistic, and experience confusion or delusion around perspectives.

We can more easily lack attention to certain details and it is also possible to experience more complications around travel or education when this energy peaks. For some people, overindulging in escapist or intoxicating behavior may also be a theme.

Considering that this New Moon is in a hard aspect with Jupiter and Neptune, it can really trigger  many of the potentials mentioned, both positive and negative. It can also reflect conflict around facts and beliefs. Communication issues and lack of focus can also be a factor. We may also try to overextend ourselves, or be pulled in different directions, but may be be faced with some of the potential complications mentioned above. This energy is strongest from June 8th – 10th.

Venus Trine Pluto, Mercury Sextile Uranus and Square Chiron

During this New Moon and in the days leading up to it, Venus in Taurus is in a trine with Pluto in Capricorn. This can be good for positive developments around relationships (socially or romantically), resources, aesthetics, values, or perhaps even financially as well. It can be regenerating, deep, or passionate. Our connections with others can be more real and less superficial.

Mercury, the ruler of this New Moon, will be going into Cancer almost a day and a half later. It will move towards a sextile to Uranus and a square to Chiron which peaks on June 7th. We can be more intuitive, inventive, and original. Positive surprises may also come up. Our communications can be exciting and stimulating. This can help us to think about things in a different way. Issues around our blockages and wounds may come up and/or it can be a time in which we have creative solutions.

Mars In Aspect With Saturn Sextile Neptune, Eclipses In Next Moon Cycle

Saturn in Capricorn is in a sextile with Neptune in Pisces which began earlier this year and will peak again in mid-June. This is great for taking a structured, disciplined, realistic, or committed approach when it comes to ideals, dreams, inspirations, creativity, spirituality, or even anything that involves selflessness, compassion, or healing.

Mars is moving towards aspects with these two planets. It will be in an opposition to Saturn and trine to Neptune which peaks from June 12th-16th with Mercury also triggering it. This can help us to want to act on our inspirations, however it is also possible that we can face obstacles and frustrations during that time as well. If so, it can potentially push us to change how we need to be assertive to ourselves. Also, Neptune is slowing down to go retrograde on the June 21st which can also reflect potential revisions,

The next New Moon in a month from now will be a Solar Eclipse followed by a Lunar Eclipse in mid-July. Eclipses facilitate changes in specific areas of your life which could play out over a longer period of time depending on different factors. Some are more significant than others for different people.

In the month leading up to eclipses we may start to notice their effects so keep in mind that any major shifts or developments might be connected to them. They can be challenging and/or evolutionary to help us in how we need to progress. I will be writing separate articles on them as we get closer, you can join my mailing list here to ensure that you receive my content.

Making Intentions And Things To Consider

What triggers your curiosity and what are the types of things that you’d like to learn more about? Do you need to be more versatile? What can you do to be more original? What inspires you? What are your ideals and is there anything that you can be doing to push some of them closer to reality? In what ways might you be unrealistic?

These are just some examples of what to consider or focus your intentions on at this time; however, it is good to reflect on anything else that is coming up for you. It is generally best to make any intentions within the first 24 hours following a New Moon. The exact moment of it will be occurring at 10:02am Universal Time on June 3rd. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

Full Moon In Sagittarius: Considering The Big Picture

We are having a Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 29th 2018 at 2:20pm Universal Time. This marks the peak of the Moon cycle which initiated on May 15th when we had a New Moon in Taurus. The energies of a Full Moon may start to become noticeable in the days leading up to it and in the days following, however, it is strongest in the 12 hours before and after. Full Moons also influence how things play out over following two weeks.

As discussed in some of my previous content, Uranus had entered Taurus on May 15th when the last New Moon occurred. It is possible that some of the things that have transpired over the last two weeks may be the beginning of something that will develop and continue to play out for the next 1-2 years.

This depends if Uranus is making strong connections to planets and points in your natal birth chart between now and August. It is possible that there could of been seeds planted or new awareness of something literally occurring on May 15th that may be directly related to how this energy may unfold for you.

Full Moon In Sagittarius Opposite Sun In Gemini

We have been in Gemini season since May 20th/21st which will last until the solstice on June 21st when the Sun enters Cancer. Gemini is an Air sign ruled by Mercury. It is social, communicative, articulate, curious, clever, informative, quick witted, and dualistic. Negatively, it can be gossipy, inconsistent, superficial, insincere, and too much in the mind without consideration of the heart.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is opposing the Gemini energy. Sagittarius is a Fire sign ruled by Jupiter. It is adventurous, worldly, philosophical, idealistic, jovial, passionate, optimistic, expansive, outspoken, and free spirited. It is also associated with beliefs, travel, publishing, and marketing. Negatively it can be arrogant, preachy, exaggerating, irresponsible, reckless, and can overdo things without taking potential consequences into consideration.

Both Gemini and Sagittarius are both associated with learning, information, and teaching. The difference between the two is that Sagittarius is more broad minded and invested in its own experiential or idealistic perspective. Gemini is more factual with information and details, generally from other sources, but may lack development in its own perspective. Also Gemini represents more of the local and immediate environment, while Sagittarius is the world at large. Both signs can be adaptable yet scattered.

The Sun is aligned with the star Aldebaran and Moon is aligned with Antares which are both known as ‘Royal Stars’. I generally only consider major stars when doing natal astrology with clients, but not frequently in my articles because their influence and meaning is not as relatable as other astrological factors. However, this Full Moon being tightly aligned with stars like this is rare and could suggest that some of the oppositional energy can also play out noticeably around us among leaders and influential people.

Full Moon Square Neptune Which Is In A Water Grand Trine

This Full Moon is applying a wide square to Neptune in Pisces. This can stimulate confusion which can also be between our emotional needs and ego needs, or between ourselves and others. It some cases it can debilitate actions, direction, drive, as well as amplify the already potentially scattered energy of the signs involved in this Full Moon. Neptune can also trigger escapism, avoidance, clumsiness, and flaky energy. If you have to do any tasks that are important for you to be mentally attentive, you may need to put extra effort in doing so to avoid problems. This period can be similar to Mercury Retrograde.

Sagittarius’ ruler Jupiter is in a trine with Neptune which strengthens the positive qualities of this planet. This can also be expansive, experiential, and productive with creative, spiritual, or compassionate pursuits. It can even have a magical vibe. Both the Full Moon in Sagittarius and the Neptune configurations work best when we consider the big picture, get out of our heads (when appropriate), overcome our fears, flow with challenges, and trust our intuition/feelings.

Venus in Cancer is also connected to Jupiter and Neptune forming a water grand trine. Growth, emotional bonding, and deep connections in some of our relationships can be a theme. This energy is strongest on June 1st and potentially June 2nd for those in eastern parts of the world.

Although this Full Moon has a lot of this potentially scattered energy, it is in a semi-sextile with Saturn in Capricorn. Emotional consideration of the big picture can be helpful now towards what we are building in our lives or in how we address commitments and responsibilities.

This Full Moon is also in an aspect with the Lunar Nodes, triggering the themes of the previous and upcoming eclipses in the Leo-Aquarius axis. This combined with Mars in Aquarius close to the South Node is emphasizing the need to operating more from the heart and following what we are passionate about as opposed to acting with our minds.

Mercury At The Last Degree of Taurus, Moving Into Gemini Trine Mars

Mercury is at the last degree of Taurus about to change into its own sign in Gemini. We may feel like we need to finish something that involves communication or some sort of practical or thorough mental pursuit. It could also potentially have to do with money, values, physical needs/applications or even food related.

Mercury enters Gemini 9.5 hours after this Full Moon and will move towards a trine with Mars which will occur May 31st to June 1st. That period can be a mentally productive period, and our physical actions can be more in sync with our minds. Communications with others can also be energetic and productive.

With Mars slowing down to go retrograde in less then a month, it is possible that actions taken at this time may be connected to what will be going on throughout much of the summer. Mars retrogrades are a process that will facilitate changes and adjustments in our drive, assertiveness, action, aggression, and sexuality.

Things To Consider During This Period

What is the big picture for you and what do you need to take into consideration while addressing the details of your life? How can you expand and broaden your horizons to help you build the life you want? What actions can you take to help you with your spiritual growth? What part of your life is calling for transformation? Do you need to be more adaptable/fluid while being less rigid in your routine?

Have you been wanting to make some big changes over the last few weeks to liberate you from a situation? Or has anything been occurring in your life over the last month to help to facilitate that process? If so, then this Full Moon may be a period to really take that into consideration by listening to your feelings and get out of your head about what could be holding you back.

These are just some examples of what to consider at this time. If you wish to do any sort of intentional release connected to what comes up, it is best to do so anytime over the two weeks following this Full Moon when it is waning. If you are into health and detoxification, this waning period can also be a good time to initiate any type of liver cleanse or protocol. The exact moment of this Full Moon is on May 29th at 2:20pm Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.

Full Moon In Sagittarius: Exploring New Possibilities

We are having a Full Moon in Sagittarius on Friday, June 9th at 1:10pm Universal Time. It will appear at its fullest on the night of June 8th if you are in the Americas. The astrological energies of the Full Moon start to become noticeable in the days leading up to it and remain fairly strong in the days following. The planetary configuration at this time also influences the following two weeks until the next Moon cycle begins.

Full Moons are the most emotionally charged time of the month. With the Sun being in Gemini, this Moon brings out the opposing polarity of Sagittarius, in which we may feel the energies of each sign either collaborating or challenging each other. This Sun is masculine and represents our ego needs; with the Moon being feminine, it represents emotional needs.

On June 6th/7th, Venus entered Taurus and Mercury entered Gemini. These planets rule these signs and they express themselves very harmoniously there. Venus, which rules relationships, love, money, values, and pleasures, expresses itself in a way that is stable, determined, secure, and sensual, but could also be stubborn and overindulging. Mercury, which rules the mind, communication, information flow, and commuting, expresses itself in a way that is versatile, quick, multitasking, dualistic, and good with words. It can also be continuously changing and scattered while lacking focus and depth.

Mars entered Cancer on June 4th/5th, which is a sign that it is more challenged in the way it expresses itself, yet has different benefits. Mars represents assertiveness, action, aggression, and sex, while Cancer is an inward, retreating, protective, domestic, and feeling-based sign. In this sign Mars can generally be more passive. However, its assertive nature can be best expressed for getting things done around the home and taking action toward things that we are emotionally connected to and/or make us feel secure.

Full Moon in Sagittarius Conjunct Saturn, Jupiter Going Direct

The Sun has been in Gemini since May 20th/21st, a time in which the communicative, dualistic, social, and information-rich qualities of Gemini have been more present. As the Moon in Sagittarius opposes the Sun, we find ourselves needing to look at more of the big picture, and considering what is beyond our immediate thoughts, language, and environment.

The Full Moon is moving toward a conjunction with Saturn retrograde in the same sign. This emphasizes the Sagittarian themes of morals and truth. This can also be a time of serious considerations around travel, higher education, spirituality, beliefs, teaching, and marketing/publishing.

Saturn here can also bring up adjustments that we need to make around our commitments and responsibilities. Some things can also be triggered on June 14th-15th, when the Sun opposes Saturn, when we may also have to face restrictions and limitations.

Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, has been retrograde in Libra since February 6th and will start moving forward again less than an hour after the peak of this Full Moon. When a planet goes direct, we approach the themes associated with that planet with better clarity, based on what has transpired. If you don’t notice it right away, it will become more evident over the coming weeks as it speeds up in motion.

Jupiter also rules the same things represented by Sagittarius mentioned above and therefore gives this energy more strength and significance. It is in Libra, which emphasizes growth, expansiveness, and perhaps even luck around relationships, partnerships, equality, aesthetics, creativity, and balance.

Venus Sextile Mars, Mercury Trine Jupiter and Square Neptune

Within an hour of this Full Moon and Jupiter going direct, Venus will be making a harmonious sextile with Mars. It is strongest on this day but will still impact the remainder of the Moon cycle. This is a great energy for creativity and sexuality, as well as making financial decisions and being socially assertive. This can also be great for taking action toward things we enjoy.

Considering that Venus is in Taurus and Mars in Cancer, both signs seek security. Taurus is also somewhat protective and domestic like Cancer, but that doesn’t necessarily mean those energies will play out in those ways for everyone. For some people, this can also be good for working to beautify the home. Money may also become available for other needs around home or family.

Mercury in Gemini Trine Jupiter in Libra and Square Neptune

Mercury is moving toward an easy trine with Jupiter that harmonizes the polarity of this Full Moon as Mercury rules Gemini (where the Sun is) and Jupiter rules Sagittarius. This helps to synthesize the energies of both signs and planets mentioned above.

This aspect will be exact on June 13th, when the Moon will be in Aquarius, joining in and forming a grand trine. This can help to bring in innovation, networking, and teamwork, and some may notice an enhanced intellect. If you are using social media, this can potentially be a great day for learning, sharing, or marketing through or to your network.

Mercury is also forming a square to Neptune, which will be exact on June 13th and felt into the 14th. With all the good things happening with Mercury and Jupiter, it is possible that we may also have to deal with some confusion or delusion around facts. This can make it hard to concentrate but at the same time intuition can be heightened when we also factor in the Mercury-Jupiter energy mentioned above.

Things to Consider During This Period

What has come up for you since early February in regards to your beliefs, morals, relationships, or anything to do with travelling, marketing/publishing, learning, teaching, and education? What has the Universe been trying to show you and what have you been feeling? This is the time to start considering what actions you need to take based on what has transpired for you in these areas.

astrology, astrology readings, carmen di luccioIf you would like to use the ‘release’ energy of the waning moon for cleansing your body, the next few weeks can be a great time for doing a liver detox. The exact time of this Full Moon will be at 1:10pm Universal Time, which is when the Moon begins to wane and lose light. New Moon In Gemini: A Socially Expansive And Inquisitive Time

There will be a New Moon in Gemini on May 25th-26th, depending on where you are located in the world. New Moons initiate a new wave of energy influencing the upcoming month. However, it has a stronger influence over the first two weeks.

Saturn is currently in a trine aspect with Uranus for the second time, which was exact on May 19th. Saturn has to do with commitments, responsibilities, structures, and discipline, and could even represent career focus. Uranus is associated with innovation, technology, insights, breakthroughs, and changes.

As these themes are interacting with each other, some people might need to make adjustments in their commitments and responsibilities in response to any changes. In most cases these will be positive, but if we have a hard time adapting, then it could be a bit challenging. This energy started in December and will conclude in November.

Gemini: Communication, Curiosity, Knowledge

Gemini is a ‘mutable air’ sign ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication and thinking. Mutable signs — Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces — are always the last sign of each season and have adaptable and spreadable properties. Air signs, which include Libra and Aquarius, are more socially and intellectually oriented. When you combine these two sets of characteristics, you end up with Gemini.

Gemini is the sign of the twins, duality, and multiple personalities. It is also known as the ‘trickster’, partially due to these qualities. Gemini is the master of language and grammar, serving as both a transmitter and receiver of information and knowledge. It is the ultimate student and curiosity fuels its drive to learn.

This Moon cycle gives us an opportunity to work with these qualities more than usual and perhaps in new ways for some. This energy can also be more apparent externally through other people we interact with or observe, the information we come across, and through events and circumstances.

Venus Square Pluto, Trine Saturn, and Conjunct Uranus

On the day of and leading up to this New Moon, Venus in Aries is in an exact square with Pluto. This can be a time of intensity in relationships, which can play out through jealousy, manipulation, power struggles, and/or possessiveness. Hidden matters can surface during this period, but in some cases this can be a transformative and even sexually passionate energy. Some people may even experience complications and perhaps a need to change their approach to money and pleasures.

Venus later connects to Saturn in a harmonious trine, then aligns with Uranus. Saturn can bring some strengthening and stabilizing energy to relationships, money, aesthetics, and pleasures, and this is strongest on May 31st-June 1st. Uranus, which is more dominant on June 2nd-3rd, can represent situations or changes that can be unusual and exciting, and can also overlap and integrate with Saturn’s influence.

Mars Is Opposing Saturn in a T-Square With Chiron, and Sextile Uranus

Mars in Gemini is in an opposition to Saturn, which is exact on May 28th-29th. They are both in a T-square with Chiron. This can feel like a hurdle in the way we are asserting ourselves. It could play out through restricting energy imposed by other people or circumstances, or our own blocks and wounds getting in the way. What is required is either extra effort, a dose of realism, and/or the need to reconsider or revamp your actions.

Following the opposition of Saturn, Mars receives support from Uranus, which can help us to assert ourselves in new ways, which can be liberating or innovative. This can be very relieving considering Saturn’s influence leading up to this period, although it isn’t as strong and dominating. This will be more prominent on May 30th-31st.

Mars makes its exact square with Chiron on June 1st-2nd, which could again bring up challenges getting in the way. Depending on the person, it could manifest as surfacing issues regarding anger, aggression, and irritability. In some cases this influence could also have a healing effect on these issues as well.

New Moon Trine Jupiter and Square Neptune

Although this New Moon isn’t making any tight aspects with other planets, it is moving toward a harmonious trine with Jupiter in Libra and a challenging square to Neptune. These energies strongly influence the period of June 2nd-4th and also lightly playing out during the first 16 hours following this New Moon.

Jupiter involved provides a great energy for expanding our horizons, whether that is regarding our social connections, knowledge, and looking at different sides of things. Spiritual pursuits do well with Jupiter and Neptune combined, but the square to Neptune can also make things a bit confusing.

Mercury Sextile Neptune and Trine Pluto

Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is in Taurus in a sextile aspect with Neptune and trine with Pluto. Mercury to Neptune helps to stimulate intuition, as well as creative/imaginative thoughts and communications. This energy is strongest around May 27th-28th.

Mercury trine Pluto is great for facilitating deeper understanding and insight while dealing with practical matters. This can also help us to really focus our attention, even during Gemini season, which can easily be a scattered energy. This will occur prominently between May 30th-31st.

Making Intentions and Things to Consider

This upcoming month is a great time for learning and expanding your knowledge. Making social connections and getting around to connect with a variety of people and ideas can also be a good use of time and energy. Improving the way we communicate and write — perhaps even learning a different language — can flow well during this month.
