TEHRAN (FNA) – Iran’s Prosecutor General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri blasted the US-led coalition for the soaring increase in production of different illicit drugs in Afghanistan, warning that the country is also turning into the pole of industrial narcotics.

“Based on the data provided by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, 200 tons of drugs were produced before the presence of the coalition forces in Afghanistan that has now soared to 10,000 tons, meaning that it has undergone a 50-fold increase,” Montazeri said, addressing the 17th summit of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday.

Ship Seized in Record $1.3 Billion Cocaine Bust Belongs to JPMorgan

by Tyler Durden

A few weeks ago we reported that around $1 billion worth of cocaine (15,500 kilos) was seized from a container ship at a Philadelphia port after having stopped in Colombia, Chile, Peru, Panama and the Bahamas (subsequently it turned out that it was a record $1.3 billion, or 18,000 kilos worth).

Today we learn that the vessel, the MSC Gayane, is owned by JP Morgan, and has been seized by US authorities according to the Wall Street Journal. The Gayane is the world's second-largest container ship operated by Switzerland-based Mediterranean Shipping Co, MSC.

“A seizure of a vessel this massive is complicated and unprecedented — but it is appropriate because the circumstances here are also unprecedented,” said US Attorney William McSwain in a statement. “When a vessel brings such an outrageous amount of deadly drugs into Philadelphia waters, my office will pursue the most severe consequences possible against all involved parties in order to protect our district — and our country.”

Above the Law: Joe Biden’s Son Not Charged for Cocaine and Pipe

The son of Joe Biden was caught with cocaine and a pipe for smoking it and let go, while the same county throws people in cages for CBD.

In the land of the free there is no question that there are two sets of laws on the books: one for those connected to the establishment and one for everyone else.

This is evident through all levels of government from the lowly cops who rape children and face no consequences to the speakers of the house raping children and getting a slap on the wrist.

As the following case illustrates, this connected privilege even extends to the relatives of those within the system.

Court Sentenced 77-Year-Old Disabled Veteran to Die in Prison for Treating Illness with Marijuana

by Amando Flavio

Many people have spoken vehemently against this draconian law in the state before, but state officials have deliberately ignored the concerns.

Medical marijuana legalization, on the ballot in Florida, received a whopping 71% support from voters. Medical marijuana legalization also received massive endorsements in Arkansas and North Dakota. Voters in California, Nevada, Massachusetts and Maine also approved measures to legalize marijuana for recreational use in their territories.

According to observers, had marijuana been placed on the ballot nationwide, it would have swept through, gaining more votes than Trump and Clinton put together. Many believe the federal restriction on the plant will soon collapse, as more and more people in the country understand the medicinal value of marijuana.

Another Record Breaking Year for Opium Production in U.S. Occupied Afghanistan

Now officially a national federal emergency, the opioid crisis is gutting America. The roots of this complex issue lie in supply, not demand, and while we are beginning to see major pharmaceutical executives being indicted for conspiracy and bribery of doctors, we have a long way to go to turn this thing around.

Pharmaceutical and synthetic opioids are a major part of the catastrophe, but the other side of the supply chain is actual opium, and the world’s biggest opium market just happens to be occupied Afghanistan, the epicenter of the global heroin trade.

The United States military has been operating in Afghanistan as part of the war on terror for over 16 years now, and opium production in the war-torn nation continues to increase, year-over-year, coinciding with the rise of the opioid crisis.
