Should I Use a Toilet Seat Cover?

Stopping the spread of microbes is important to reduce the spread of infection, colds and flu. Time and again research has demonstrated soap and water can kill germs causing acute gastroenteritis, pneumonia, hepatitis A and other contagious illnesses, including methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).1

In fact, handwashing may be the single most important strategy for reducing your exposure to potentially disease-causing germs and subsequent illness. While it is not the only factor, it drastically reduces the germs access to your body.

Inside a public bathroom many opt for toilet seat covers or piling on toilet paper. There is some intuitive appeal to covering a public toilet seat before sitting down. Some even choose to hover over the toilet in order to avoid touching the seat. However, unless the toilet seat is obviously dirty, piling toilet paper on the seat or using a seat cover may not give you the protection you think it does.

Your Skin Functions as a Barrier; Toilet Paper Does Not

As the outermost organ on the human body, your skin serves as a primary defense system, protecting your organs from the external environment. Your skin is also a sensory organ and regulates body temperature.2 With a total area of about 20 square feet, your skin has three distinctive layers. The epidermis is the outermost layer and provides a waterproof barrier.3

The permeability of your skin controls movement of water and other electrolytes, allowing for movement in both directions. However, bacteria and viruses cannot be absorbed through your skin, but only enter through a break in the barrier. Your skin is also naturally acidic.4 With a pH of nearly 5.5, it plays a role in inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria. Using a combination of acid mantle and barrier function, your skin provides a strong first line of defense.

Dr. Peter Elias, a dermatologist from the University of California San Francisco, compares your skin to a brick wall.5 The bricks are the dried out, nonliving skin cells your body is ready to shed, while the mortar — the cement holding the bricks together — is the intercellular matrix composed of fats.

This is a highly impermeable barrier helping to prevent the uncontrolled loss of water and the entrance of harmful microorganisms. Your skin also functions as an endocrine organ, through the production of vitamin D with exposure to sunlight, and helps to regulate immune responses to pathogens coming into contact with the skin through the presence of Langerhans cells.6

According to Dr. William Schaffner, professor of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, there is no real evidence toilet seat covers can prevent illness or the transmission of infectious diseases.7 In fact, these paper products are porous and contain holes large enough for microscopic organisms to slip through. Microbiologist Philip Tierno, professor of microbiology and pathology at New York University School of Medicine, comments:8

“If you’re using several layers, that may provide a little more protection. But unless a toilet seat is overtly dirty, meaning there is liquid or particulate matter visible on the seat, it’s rare that you could catch something.”

Hovering Is Likely Not Your Best Answer

Let’s face it, there are times you’d probably rather hold it than sit on a public toilet seat. However, despite being a good workout for your quadriceps, doing a half squat over the toilet is not a healthy alternative for women. According to urologist Dr. Matthew Karlovsky, this semi squat position does not allow your pelvic floor muscles to completely relax.9 In order for your bladder to completely empty, these muscles must be relaxed. However, when hovering over the toilet the pelvic floor muscles may still be 30 to 40 percent engaged.10

As you rise to a standing position, you may therefore have a slight amount of urine left in your bladder. In a study published in the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics,11 researchers found women who preferred to half squat over a public toilet seat had residual urine volume in their bladder, measured through urodynamic testing. This residual urine can irritate the lining of the bladder, making you feel like you have to go more frequently and even increasing your risk of urinary tract infection.12

Over time, residual urine can also lead to an irritated bladder and urinary incontinence. Depending upon the source,13,14 25 percent to 50 percent of men and women in the U.S. suffer from urinary incontinence. Nearly 33 million have an overactive bladder represented by symptoms of urgency and frequency. Increasing age increases the risk of this condition, but there are a range of factors triggering it in younger people.

Hovering in a half-squat is not to be confused with having a bowel movement in the squat position. Sitting on a toilet places your knees at 90 degree angle to your abdomen, which actually hinders bowel elimination by pinching off your anal canal.

In a squat position designed for bowel elimination, your knees are closer to your torso, which changes the position of your intestinal organs and musculature. This allows for relaxation and straightening of your rectum and maximizes the efficiency of elimination. You can read more in my previous article, “Want Better Bowel Movements? Squat, Don’t Sit!

What Is Dirtier Than a Toilet Seat?

A number of research studies have identified everyday items carrying more bacteria than a toilet seat. For instance, many take their cellphone with them everywhere, including the dinner table, the doctor’s office and the bathroom. On average, Americans check their phones approximately 47 times per day,15 which increases opportunity for microbes to move from your fingers to your phone. In a study from scientists at the University of Arizona,16 data analysis determined cell phones carry 10 times more bacteria than most toilet seats.

While it’s important to remember human skin is naturally covered in microbes without commonly triggering negative health consequences, in some instances common everyday items you touch may carry staphylococcus.17 Cellphones may carry serious pathogens, including streptococcus, MRSA and even E. coli. While they don’t automatically make you sick, you don’t want to let them enter your system.

Your computer keyboard may also be a host of potentially harmful bacteria and a prime real estate for germs.18 In a study commissioned by a consumer advocacy group, researchers found at least one keyboard had five times the level of germs than those found on a toilet seat. In a study from the University of Arizona, researchers found the average desktop had 400 times more bacteria than the average toilet seat.19

Another study from Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital determined vancomycin-resistant enterococcus faecium and MRSA could survive up to 24 hours on a keyboard.20 In a comparison between kitchen handles and toilet handles done by the Hygiene Council, one-third of kitchen sink handles carried an unsatisfactory level of bacteria as compared to 15 percent of toilet handles.21

In a lecture by microbiologist Charles Gerba, to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Gerba explained a kitchen sponge and sink have 1,000 times more bacteria than a toilet seat.22 If you enjoy going out to eat, you may be surprised to learn the lemon slices floating in your water may be cut by chefs who have not washed their hands after handling meats.

Even menus typically carry more germs for the cold and flu virus than a toilet seat does.23 These findings are in line with research suggesting your daily routine puts you in contact with more potentially dangerous germs on common everyday items than does a public toilet seat.

Despite the Ick Factor, Hand Hygiene More Important Than Toilet Covers

In this short video you’ll discover only 5 percent of people actually wash their hands for more than 15 seconds with soap after using a public restroom24 and how important hand hygiene is to reducing the spread of infection and disease. Despite finding the idea of sitting on a public toilet less than desirable, not washing your hands holds a greater risk. As Tierno states, it is rare you can catch something from sitting on a toilet seat unless it is ripe with liquid or particulate matter.

However, just rinsing your hands under running water is not enough to clear bacteria and viruses from your hands and reduce your risk of acquiring an infection or passing one along. In a study performed by the U.S. Navy,25 recruits were ordered to wash their hands five times a day. Drill instructors received education monthly on the importance of handwashing and after two years recruits had 45 percent fewer cases of respiratory illnesses than recruits had in the year before the program began.

Washing your hands also helps to reduce a rising problem with antibiotic resistance as it may prevent respiratory infections when antibiotics may be unnecessarily prescribed.26 Correctly washing your hands helps to reduce bacteria being transferred from one person to another. To be truly effective for disease control, consider the following guidelines:

  • Use warm, running water and a mild soap. You do not need antibacterial soap, and this has been scientifically verified. Even the FDA has stated,27 “There is currently no evidence that [antibacterial soaps] are any more effective at preventing illness than washing with plain soap and water.”
  • Start with wet hands, add soap and work up a good lather, all the way up to your wrists, scrubbing for at least 15 or 20 seconds (most people only wash for about six seconds). A good way to time this is to sing the “Happy Birthday” song twice.
  • Make sure you cover all surfaces, including the backs of your hands, wrists, between your fingers and around and below your fingernails.
  • Rinse thoroughly under running water.
  • Thoroughly dry your hands, ideally using a paper towel. In public places, also use a paper towel to open the door as a protection from germs handles may harbor.

Steer Clear of Antibacterial Soap

While clean hands are an important factor in reducing the spread of disease, what you wash your hands with is also a significant factor to your health and the health of the environment. In a study published in the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy,28 researchers looked at 20 bacterial strains, comparing the effectiveness of plain soap against one with 0.3 percent triclosan (the most widely used antiseptic agent in antibacterial soap).

The study evaluated the effectiveness of the soap in petri dishes, as well as on the hands of study volunteers who washed their hands for 30 seconds using either type of soap and warm water. The researchers found the antibacterial soap was not more effective than plain soap when used under real-life conditions. Only after the bacteria were soaked in antibacterial soap for nine hours did the triclosan-containing products kill more bacteria than plain soap, which is clearly a useless benefit for the average consumer.

In addition to being ineffective in killing additional bacteria while washing your hands, antibacterial soap is also harmful to your health and the health of the environment. Several studies have found triclosan induces changes in estrogenic activity29 and hormonal activity in animal studies,30 impairs muscle function in humans and animals31 and is linked to an increase in allergies among children.32

Triclosan can also be found in detergents, body washes, toothpaste and even cutting boards and lipstick. This additional exposure has added up to an opportunity to build antibiotic resistance in the environment. Triclosan persists in small quantities even after treatment at sewage plants. It affects algae’s ability to perform photosynthesis and may bioaccumulate to a certain degree as it travels up the food chain. As reported by Smithsonian magazine:33

“The chemical is also fat-soluble — meaning that it builds up in fatty tissues — so scientists are concerned that it can biomagnify, appearing at greater levels in the tissues of animals higher up the food chain, as the triclosan of all the plants and animals below them is concentrated. Evidence of this possibility was turned up in 2009, when surveys of bottlenose dolphins off the coast of South Carolina and Florida found concerning levels of the chemical in their blood.”

Watch Out for a Plume of Aerosolized Toilet Water

Once you’re done using the bathroom, you should put the toilet seat down before flushing. The reason is a phenomenon known as “toilet plume.” As you flush the toilet, your waste products are aerosolized by the swirling water. While low-flow toilets have a decreased risk, countless older toilets can send aerosolized droplets as much as 6 feet from the toilet. Tierno says plumes can reach as high as 15 feet.34

In a study published before the adoption of low-flow toilets,35 researchers found your toilet bowl can be seeded with infectious bacteria and viruses that disperse and settle on other bathroom surfaces, such as the floor, the sink and your toothbrush. In a similar study performed more recently,36 research finds this plume may play a contributory role in the transmission of infectious diseases.

Even flushing the toilet with the seat down, Tierno advises you store your mouth related items in a cabinet and exit public toilets at the time you flush.37 Yet, even as your toilet sprays urine and feces droplets up to 6 feet from the device, Tierno insists proper hand hygiene is more crucial than preventing toilet plume.

‘Wi-Fried’ — Is Wireless Technology Dooming a Generation to Ill Health?

Most people today live in a sea of radiofrequencies (RF), emitted from wireless technologies of all kinds, from routers to smartphones, tablets, baby monitors, TVs, appliances, smart meters and more. In the featured ABC program “Wi-Fried,” originally aired in 2016, Maryanne Demasi, Ph.D., investigates the alleged safety of mobile devices.

According to many experts, chronic, heavy exposure could be having severe repercussions for our health, especially that of children, who are now being exposed even before birth.

As noted by Devra Davis, Ph.D., an epidemiologist and author of the book, “Disconnect: The Truth About Cell Phone Radiation,” children have never before been exposed to this level of pulsed radiation, and it’s still too early to determine the exact extent of the harm. Still, mounting evidence suggests harm is indeed occurring, so it would be foolish to wait until we’re in the midst of a global catastrophe.  

External Interference Can Disrupt Your Body’s Natural Bioelectric Signals

While a number of different devices contribute to the overall radiation burden, those kept closest to your body on a regular basis, such as your cellphone, are of greatest concern. Worldwide, there are more than 6 billion cellphone subscriptions. In other words, we’re rapidly nearing total saturation, where every single person on the planet has one of these devices.

Many of these mobile phones are smartphones, with apps that frequently receive and transmit pulsed electromagnetic signals. The human body also has natural electromagnetic fields (EMFs), as many of your bodily processes involves the transmission of electric signals, and as noted by Demasi, “External interference can disrupt those signals.” In a 2016 article, Jerry Phillips, Ph.D., a biochemist and director of the Excel Science Center at the University of Colorado, explained how living cells react to RF radiation:1

“The signal couples with … cells, although nobody really knows what the nature of that coupling is. Some effects of that reaction can be things like movement of calcium across membranes, the production of free radicals or a change in the expression of genes in the cell.

Suddenly important proteins are being expressed at times and places and in amounts that they shouldn’t be, and that has a dramatic effect on the function of the cells. And some of these changes are consistent with what’s seen when cells undergo conversion from normal to malignant.”

When you consider that your body runs on bioelectricity, it’s easier to understand how and why biological damage from wireless phones might occur.2 For starters, your body has natural EMFs, as many of your bodily processes involves the transmission of electric signals, and external interference can disrupt those signals.

In recent years, it’s become increasingly clear that mitochondrial dysfunction is at the root of most chronic disease, so in terms of public health, the effects of chronic EMF exposure may be far more profound than currently suspected. We may not only face an avalanche of brain cancer in coming decades, but also heart disease, neurological disease and infertility.   

Your Heart and Brain Are Most Susceptible to EMF Damage

Two of the organs that are the most vulnerable to outside RF interference are your heart and your brain. Both of these organs also have the highest density of voltage gated calcium channels (VGCCs). Research.3,4,5,6 by Martin Pall, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of biochemistry and basic medical sciences at Washington State University,7 suggests VGCCs are activated by low-intensity EMFs such as those emitted from cellphones, triggering an excessive influx of calcium into the cell.

The excess intracellular calcium and the increased calcium signaling appears to be responsible for most if not all of the biological effects associated with EMF exposure, which include an increase in:

Neuropsychiatric disorders and diseases such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism and Alzheimer’s8

Hormonal effects

Cardiac effects

Chromosomal breaks

Impaired fertility especially in men

Oxidative stress

Changes in calcium signaling

Cellular DNA damage

Breakdown of the blood-brain barrier


Melatonin depletion

Sleep disruption

Recent Research Confirms EMF-Induced Health Effects

As early as 1990, before there even was a consumer cellphone industry, at least two dozen epidemiological studies on humans indicated a link between EMF and/or RF and serious health problems, including childhood leukemia. Most recently, two government-funded studies9,10,11,12,13 — one on mice and one on rats — found evidence of heart tumors and damage to the brain and DNA.

This $25 million research, conducted by the National Toxicology Program — an interagency research program housed at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences — is said to be the most extensive to date, and it confirms that the heart and brain are key areas affected by high, chronic EMF exposure.

Earlier research14 by Allan Frey, Office of Naval Research, also revealed cellphone radiation weakens cell membranes, including your blood-brain barrier, placing your brain at further increased risk by allowing systemic toxins to enter.

Male testes are a third area with high VGCC density, and indeed, studies have linked EMF exposure to male fertility problems as well. Cellphone radiation has been linked to a reduction in sperm motility and viability,15,16 and Wi-Fi equipped laptops have been linked to sperm DNA fragmentation after just four hours of use.17

Disturbingly, most people will carry their cellphones either in their breast pocket or pants pocket, effectively radiating the most sensitive parts of their body — their heart and reproductive organs. Then, when talking on the phone, they will place it to their ear, exposing their brain.

Pregnant women are also exposing their unborn children to harmful radiation when carrying a cellphone on their body, or using it near their body. According to recent research, prenatal exposure to power-frequency fields can nearly triple a pregnant woman’s risk of miscarriage.18 Several other studies have also linked prenatal EMF exposure to an increased risk of miscarriage.19,20,21,22,23  

Why We’re Not Seeing Dramatic Increases in Brain Cancer

With regard to brain cancer, it’s important to remember that brain cancer typically has a long latency period. According to Davis, it took 40 years before the brain cancer rate in the Japanese population spiked after the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Compared to radioactive radiation, RF is likely far less carcinogenic, but the fact that we have not seen a dramatic increase in brain cancer rates as of yet is by no means proof that flooding your brain with RFs is harmless.

It simply means we haven’t been using cellphones long enough yet. In my view, it seems really foolish to make such a gamble with entire generations of people. Davis also points out that if you want to get an indication of how cellphone use is influencing brain cancer rates, you have to look at the types of brain tumors that have become predominant, and the groups in which they occur.

In recent years, we have in fact seen a statistically significant uptick in brain cancer in younger people and children. We’ve also seen an increase in tumors situated near the ear on the side people hold their phones.

Most People Breach the Safety Limits of Their Cellphones

Also noted in the featured video is that anytime you carry your phone on your body and it is not in airplane mode, you are, breaching the safety limits of your phone. This safety limit, known as the specific absorption rate (SAR), is typically buried in the legal section of your phone, but will state that you need to keep the phone at a specified distance from your body to prevent overexposure and potential heat damage.

Demasi’s cellphone specified a safety limit of 10 millimeters, meaning she would need to keep it at least 1 centimeter from her body at all times. So, it’s important to realize that your cellphone no longer complies with safety regulations once it’s placed in your pocket or bra. It’s also worth noting that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) bases its thermal safety standards on a model that does not apply to the population at large, especially not children.

The standards are based on a model called “standard anthropomorphic man,” a model much larger than the average person. The larger the body, the shallower the penetration of the radiation, so SAR levels are likely too generous for most people. The experts interviewed believe it’s safe to say that most people breach the SAR limits of their phones on a daily basis, possibly exposing themselves to heat-induced cell damage.

However, it’s important to realize that the SAR value of your phone is worthless when it comes to assessing the safety of your phone, as the most significant damage is not caused by heating. In reality, there’s no such thing as a safe cellphone, as they all emit EMFs. The only way to make it safe is to turn it off, or keep it in airplane mode, which suspends RF signal transmissions. Pall calculates that the safety standards based on thermal damage, not molecular biology, are off by a factor of 7 million.

As noted in the video, safety standards are based on the decades old and now-debunked theory that no damage can occur unless the tissue is heated, but mounting evidence strongly suggests this simply isn’t true, and a number of different mechanisms of harm have been presented in the scientific literature in recent years.

Two Crucial Ways EMFs Harm Your Health

There’s even evidence suggesting that radiation affects your microbiome, turning what might otherwise be beneficial microbes pathogenic. This too can have far-ranging health effects, since we now know your microbiome plays an important role in health. Importantly, while the mechanisms may differ, the end result is often the same. In short, EMFs:

  1. Increase oxidative stress, which can damage cell membranes and proteins, and break DNA bonds
  2. Decrease ATP — the energy currency in your body, without which your cells cannot function properly

Protecting Yourself and Your Children From Excessive EMF Is a Health Priority  

As of September 2018, France will impose a complete ban on cellphone use by primary and secondary school students during school hours.24 Students will not be permitted to use their phones even at breaks, lunch or between classes. California also recently issued consumer guidance on how to lower cellphone radiation exposure (after initially trying to cover up the hazards).25

Russia has also implemented laws to minimize Wi-Fi exposure in schools,26 and countries like Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Israel and China have RF exposure limits that are up to 10,000 times lower than the U.S.27

In my mind, EMF exposure is unquestionably a significant health hazard that needs to be addressed if you’re concerned about your health. Schools, especially, really should take a step back and begin to implement strategies to protect students. There’s simply no reason to flood children with wireless signals all day long.

In the featured video, an Australian school simply installed an on/off switch on the router in each classroom. Unless online access is required for a particular lesson, the Wi-Fi is turned off. If you have Wi-Fi in your home, I would recommend implementing a similar strategy at home.

Helpful Strategies to Reduce Your EMF Exposure

Here are several other suggestions that will also help reduce your EMF exposure:

Connect your desktop computer to the internet via a wired Ethernet connection and be sure to put your desktop in airplane mode. Also avoid wireless keyboards, trackballs, mice, game systems, printers and portable house phones and opt for wired versions.

If you must use Wi-Fi, shut it off when not in use, especially at night when you are sleeping. Ideally, work toward hardwiring your house so you can eliminate Wi-Fi altogether. If you have a notebook without any Ethernet ports, a USB Ethernet adapter will allow you to connect to the internet with a wired connection.

Shut off the electricity to your bedroom at night. This typically works to reduce electrical fields from the wires in your wall unless there is an adjoining room next to your bedroom. If that is the case, use an EMF meter to determine if you also need to power down the adjacent room.

Use a battery-powered alarm clock, ideally one without any light. I use a talking clock for the visually impaired.28

If you still use a microwave oven, consider replacing it with a steam convection oven, which will heat your food as quickly and far more safely.

Avoid using “smart” appliances and thermostats that depend on wireless signaling. This would include all new “smart” TVs. They are called smart because they emit a Wi-Fi signal, and unlike your computer, you cannot shut the Wi-Fi signal off. Consider using a large computer monitor as your TV instead, as they don’t emit Wi-Fi.

Refuse smart meters as long as you can, or add a shield to an existing smart meter, some of which have been shown to reduce radiation by 98 to 99 percent.29

Consider moving your baby’s bed into your bedroom instead of using a wireless baby monitor. Alternatively, use a hard-wired monitor.

Replace CFL bulbs with incandescent bulbs. Ideally remove all fluorescent lights from your house. Not only do they emit unhealthy light, but more importantly, they will actually transfer current to your body just being close to the bulbs.

Avoid carrying your cellphone on your body unless in airplane mode and never sleep with it in your bedroom unless it is in airplane mode. Even in airplane mode it can emit signals, which is why I put my phone in a Faraday bag.30

When using your cellphone, use the speaker phone and hold the phone at least 3 feet away from you. Seek to radically decrease your time on the cellphone. I typically use my cellphone less than 30 minutes a month, and mostly when traveling. Instead, use VoIP software phones that you can use while connected to the internet via a wired connection.

The States of America is an unincorporated Confederation of National-level States of States under The Articles of Confederation (1781) and is supposed to give rise to the National Government via the Union of National level States of States—a National State of Georgia, for example, but, instead, since 1868, this National State of George has been mothballed and rolled over into a land trust called the Georgia State, and an usurping (Territorial level) “State of Georgia” has replaced it. Because our National level Government has been mothballed and “held in abeyance” for six generations without our knowledge or consent, the British-backed Territorial United States has been running everything amok and in favor of Britain and its’ European partners in crime. This has been done under conditions of fraud and Gross Breach of Trust.
The Territorial United States is supposed to be shepherded by the British Government for the purpose of providing “essential government services” that our states agreed to receive and pay for. Thus, it is a separate government and a subcontractor that is supposed to be working under the direction of the States of America, and which is instead usurping against the States of America in Gross Breach of Trust and commercial contract. Without the States of America to mind the shop, the hired help has been helping itself for 150 years.
The Municipal United States is supposed to be limited to the ten square miles of the District of Columbia and is supposed to be run by the members of the National Congress (not the Territorial Congress as it presently is) as the government for Washington, DC—-and nothing more. This entity has instead been appointed to act “for” and provide the services owed by the Territorial United States. Pursuant to this contract to provide the services of the Territorial United States, this foreign oligarchy has spun off its own completely unauthorized STATES OF STATES, such as the STATE OF MICHIGAN.
And this entire situation, this so-called “Reconstruction” of our government has been the result of an illegal commercial mercenary action mis-named The American Civil War, conducted on our shores by the same perpetrators that have acted in Breach of Trust to promote this situation — and benefited themselves from it.
This is all against international law, commercial law, and international treaties owed to The United States of America, our member States, and our people.
We are Third Parties with respect to these charlatans and have made it abundantly clear that we have recalled and retained our delegated powers, are in the process of restoring our National-level States of States, and demanding the return of all our assets including the State Land Trusts, land titles, the PERSONAL ESTATES, PUBLIC UTILITIES, PUBLIC TRUSTS and all other “businesses” run “in the name of” actual Americans, all our gold, all our credit owed, all our patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and everything else that naturally belongs to this country and its people— free and clear and without encumbrance.

11 People Who Blew The Whistle On Information That Was Once Considered A “Conspiracy Theory”

When whistleblowers reveal classified information, it creates more transparency, and reveals the true intentions for secrecy under the justification of “national security,” a term that’s basically used now to conceal vast amounts of information.

Below is a list of 10 of the most important whistleblowers.

Edward Snowden

As most of you already know, Edward Snowden, a former intelligence contractor for multiple agencies, mainly the NSA, leaked some very sensitive information that proved the existence of clandestine Black Budget operations, thereby exposing the NSA’s mass surveillance program that spans across the world. They are spying on corporations, governments, and citizens of the world, including their own. He revealed that they know what you do, what you say, and possibly even what you are thinking.

It’s interesting to see the contrast in narratives between someone on the inside and the “official” explanation of things. Take, for example, the super national intelligence organization known as the “Five Eyes.” According to Snowden:

The Five Eyes alliance is sort of an artifact of the post World War II era where the Anglophone countries are the major powers banded together to sort of co-operate and share the costs of intelligence gathering infrastructure.  . . .

What the result of this was over decades and decades what sort of a supra-national intelligence organisation that doesn’t answer to the laws of its own countries. . . .

They not only share information, the reporting of results from intelligence, but they actually share the tools and the infrastructure they work together against joint targets in services and there’s a lot of danger in this.

Sibel Edmunds 

Sibel Edmonds is a former FBI translator and founder of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC). She gained a lot of attention in 2002 after she accused a colleague of covering up illicit activity involving Turkish nationals, which included serious security breaches and cover-ups, alluding to intelligence that was deliberately suppressed.

More recently, she’s been outspoken about various issues that plague the global elite, like pedophilia and false flag terrorism, letting people know that terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS are tools of the Western military alliance, used to push for the “terror war industry.”

Below is an interview she did with RT News a few years ago discussing this topic, among others.

Thomas Drake

If you didn’t already know, Thomas Drake leaked information about the NSA’s mass surveillance program prior to the Snowden leaks. After 9/11, he blew the whistle on the dragnet surveillance operation that was spying on American citizens.

Of course, as always when these leaks come out, the mainstream media (a tool of the global elite) will always try to justify these infringements on our rights, because of the heightened national security state, which they play an active role in creating.

A great quote comes to mind here, from JFK:

We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment.

Drake told the world that the military and intelligence industrial complex became obsessed in their mission, that it completely trumped the rights of not only American citizens, but as we now know, the global citizenry, too. He attempted to go through legal channels and whistleblower protection law but it didn’t work.

In 2006 he decided to contact a reporter at the Baltimore Sun, and as a result, narrowly avoided spending 40 years in prison.

William Binney

William Binney is a 36-year NSA veteran who became a whistleblower after discovering that elements of a data-monitoring program he helped make, called “ThinThread,” were being used to spy on Americans: “At least 80% of fibre optic cables globally go via the US, this is no accident and allows the US to view all communication coming in. At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US. The NSA lies about what it stores. . . . The ultimate goal of the NSA is total population control.”

Binney also explains why American intelligence agencies are doing this, and it’s not to combat terrorism. He says their goal is total population control. You can read more about that here.

Below is a great quote from him, in an interview with 9/11 Free Fall Radio:

We selectively ignore basic facts. What I mean by a basic fact is something that’s just there that needs to be addressed, even if they can’t explain it, they should have said “We can’t explain this but it’s there” so they at least recognize that this basic fact existed. . . .

My problem is, just like the UFO thing, unless they start addressing these kinds of things, people’s observations or basic measurements or factual kind of evidence that simply exists, unless they start addressing them, there’s always going to be questions, especially now with the government, how much trust do you have in this government? From what they’ve been doing, in spying, and torture, and rendering, and suppressing whistleblowers, and putting whistleblowers in jail, and giving immunity to people who commit these kinds of crimes, how much trust can you put in a government like that?

Robert David Steele

Robert David Steele is the second-highest ranking civilian in the U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence and a former CIA clandestine services officer who worked for the CIA.

Below is one of my favourite quotes from him:

Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are created by our own security services. In the United States, every single terrorist incident we have had has been a false flag, or has been an informant pushed on by the FBI. In fact we now have citizens taking out restraining orders against FBI informants that are trying to incite terrorism. We’ve become a lunatic asylum.

He has made multiple revelations with regards to false flag terrorism, as well as admitting to being a part of it. We interviewed him this year in July, and you can watch that interview below:

Chelsea Manning

Chelsea Manning is the army private who gave 750,000 classified documents to Wikileaks. She was sentenced to 35 years in prison, but walked out after serving a shortened sentence after a great public outcry at her imprisonment.

Her leaks pertained to the Iraq and Afghanistan war, as well as detainees at Guantanamo Bay military prison.

The thing about these leaks that more people are starting to see is that they do not endanger America or its security, but rather, threaten the greedy corporate and financial interests that control American.

Transparency threatens this control system.

Dr. Udo Ulfokotte 

Dr. Udo Ulfkotte is a top German journalist and editor and has been for more than two decades. He recently went on the record stating that he was forced to publish the works of intelligence agents under his own name, also mentioning that noncompliance would result in him losing his job. He recently made an appearance on RT News, where he said:

I’ve been a journalist for about 25 years, and I was educated to lie, to betray, and not to tell the truth to the public. But seeing right now within the last months how the German and American media tries to bring war to the people in Europe, to bring war to Russia — this is a point of no return and I’m going to stand up and say it is not right what I have done in the past, to manipulate people, to make propaganda against Russia, and it is not right what my colleagues do and have done in the past because they are bribed to betray the people, not only in Germany, all over Europe.

Jeffrey Wigand

Jeffrey S. Wigand is an American biochemist and the former Vice President of Research and Development at Brown & Williamson in Louisville, Kentucky. He played a major role in exposing corporate fraud related to the tobacco industry. In 1995, he became the tobaccos industry’s highest ranking former executive to address public health and smoking issues. He did so in an interview with 60 Minutes, and as a result, a lawsuit was filled against him.

Today, because of efforts like Wigand’s, more people who hold prominent positions within major corporations are choosing to risk all and speak out.

Dr. William Thompson

Dr. William Thompson is a longtime senior CDC scientist. He has published some of the most commonly cited pro-vaccine studies — studies which purport to show absolutely no link between the MMR vaccine and autism.

Two studies he and his co-author published in 2004 and 2007 for the CDC were the most commonly cited studies used by the scientific community to debunk the controversy surrounding the MMR vaccine/autism link. (Thompson, et al. 2007, Price, et al. 2010Destefano, et al. 2004)

The study concluded that “the evidence is now convincing that the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine does not cause autism or any particular subtypes of autism spectrum disorder.”

A decade later, Dr. Thompson came out publicly admitting that that it was “the lowest point” in his career when he “went along with that paper.” He went on to say that he and the other authors “didn’t report significant findings” and that he is “completely ashamed” of what he did, that he was “complicit and went along with this,” and regrets that he has “been a part of the problem.” (source)(source)

Even pro-vaccine politicians were contacted, as these documents were sent to Congress. One of them reads as followed, as illustrated by Congressman Bill Posey: “The [CDC] co-authors scheduled a meeting to destroy documents related to the [MMR vaccine] study. The remaining four co-authors all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room and reviewed and went through all the hard copy documents that we had thought we should discard and put them in a huge garbage can.”

Dr. John Brandenburg

Dr. Johan Brandenburg was the Deputy Manager of the Clementine Mission to the Moon, which was part of a joint space project between the Ballistic Missile Defence Organization (BMDO) and NASA. The mission discovered water at the moon’s poles in 1994. (Source: page 16 of 18)(source)(source)

He currently works as a consultant to Morningstar Applied Physics. Here is one of his latest research endeavours. Brandenburg also works as a part-time instructor of astronomy, physics, and mathematics at Madison College, and other learning institutions in Madison, Wisconsin.

Dr. Norman Bergrun

A mechanical engineer, Dr. Bergrun has worked for Ames Research Laboratory, NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics), and Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, now known as Lockheed Martin. He then went on to found Bergrun Engineering and Research. Obviously, he is another qualified individual with an impressive background. In this interview, Bergrun accuses that agency of “garbling” photos and fudging data.

He emphasized that people need to know that large unidentified objects, intelligently controlled, are real.

Why Whistleblowers Are So Important and Should Be Regarded as Heroes

The term “national security” is now used to justify the concealment of mass amounts of information. As a result, whenever a whistleblower leaks sensitive information, they are accused of putting their country’s safety at risk. It’s great to be living in a time where more people are starting to realize that it doesn’t put the country at risk, but simply threatens the mechanisms the global elite use to control us and enforce their ideas and ways upon us. It basically exposes secrecy that is used for profit and control — not defence, security, or national interests.

Perhaps, one day, we will live in a world of full transparency, because, as retired Sergeant Command Major Bob Dean once said, “secrecy is corrosive to the soul.”

Good Friday

Things are always strange on Good Friday.  All over the world, Stigmatics are suffering.  Strange wounds appear on their flesh.  They experience in real time the agony of crucifixion.  This happens to them every year.  Of course, they know the story.  In some sense, they know why it happens: it’s because the countenance of Jesus is lifted up on them. They take on His Image and share in His suffering. 

Stigmatics have been studied for hundreds of years.  They have been subjected to all sorts of mental and physical tests, discounted as “hysterics” and venerated at the same time.  Most of them are perfectly normal people, except that they carry enigmatic scars— tiny scars on their foreheads, larger scars on their hands and wrists and feet and ankles, and a large scar like a knife scar on their sides. 

You might think that they would appear predominantly in Christian countries and certainly only among Christians, but such is not the case.  Stigmatics appear all over the world, in many unexpected places, among people who are not Christians, as well as among the devout.  Imagine the consternation and wonderment of Muslim parents whose son suddenly and inexplicable displays the signs of the stigmata?   Or the Buddhist monk who looks down at his wrist and sees (and feels) a nail hole? 

Today, a Stigmatic, the friend of a friend who lives in Lebanon, is suffering.  He will come to the verge of death, and appear to be dead, and then, the miracle begins….the clocks stop….blood returns to his cheek.  The wounds heal as quickly as they appeared, and by the second or third day of April this year, he will appear as before, a mild-mannered man with gentle eyes, unremarkable except — if you look– you will see the telltale scars on his forehead and wrists. 

“Pick up your cross, and follow me,” the words of the Word repeat in my head.  

Follow me, so that you are no longer afraid of suffering or ridicule or death.  Follow me, so that you can pass through death to eternal life. Follow me, because I am the Way — literally. Follow my path and my footsteps.  Observe them well.  Follow me, because despite all appearances otherwise, I am Heaven-bound. 

What a steep and rocky way!  What a path, drenched in injustice and pain?  Yet, what should we expect?  That Heaven would be easy to attain?

In my work, I meet a great many people who have been dreadfully abused, and often, they are the children of others, who were abused for generations prior to this.  And always, they seek control.  

They believe that if they were in control, everything would be better and different, but the truth is that we abuse others because we have learned all about abuse, but very little about nurturing or compassion.  

And so, the cycle of suffering continues on.   Just look at Israel today.  “Never again!” they say, and yet, look at what they do.  

The oppressed become the oppressors who become the oppressed who become the oppressors.  Nobody stops the merry-go-round and actually stops abuse.  They just change targets and keep on shooting. 

Just like the hypocrites who abolished private slave ownership with one hand, and opened up the doors to public slave ownership with the other. 

This is the Great Mystery we are heir to— the mystery of love in the midst of undeserving, the mystery of love that transcends fear and pain, abuse and injustice, loss and oppression of every kind.

Blue Moon In Libra: Realizations & Obstacles Around Self-Interests & Relations

We are having a Full Moon in Libra on March 31st which will be exact at 12:37 pm Universal Time, however, the Moon will appear fullest on the night of March 30th in the Americas. This being the second Full Moon of the calendar month of March, makes it the second ‘Blue Moon’ of this year which is a rare occurrence.

The themes of any Full Moon develop during the week leading up to it and are strongest in the days before and after. The Full Moon initiates the second half of the Lunar cycle, and the astrological configurations that are active when the Moon is Full continue to have an impact on us until the next New Moon, two weeks later.

We have been in the Aries season since March 20th, and Mercury also went retrograde in the same sign a few days later. (Read more about it here). This is a period of adjustments, shifts, and reflection on how we incorporate the themes of this sign. Aries is about independence, self-interests, action, leadership, and individuality. It is bold and brave.

This sign can also be impatient, inconsiderate, aggressive, and overly anxious. As a very direct, quick, assertive, and forward sign, it can lack thoroughness. This particular Full Moon highlights the opposite sign Libra into the equation which can help create circumstances and awareness that helps us to see how we may have been expressing the more negative qualities of Aries.

Libra is about balance, relationships, consideration, fairness, equality, partnerships, and aesthetics. It is diplomatic, social, and looks at different sides of things and tries to find common ground. However, Libra can also be overly considerate, indecisive, contemplative, and too invested in relationship interests. As a result it could lack action and could refrain from pursuing things independently and in the interests of oneself.

The Libra Full Moon brings up this polarity and we could experience challenges or a push-pull effect of these signs. Ultimately, we should seek and apply some sort of integration and balance of these energies, bringing in more of the positive qualities to work harmoniously with each other.

Sun Conjunct Mercury Retrograde

At the time of this Full Moon, the Sun is aligned with Mercury Retrograde which will be exact the following day. This is known as the ‘inferior conjunction,’ a period in which many of the themes of this retrograde may be highlighted. This can be a time of heightened realizations and insights, however, the usual problematic effects of the retrograde may be more apparent because of this, in some cases.

Traditionally, the ‘inferior conjunction’ is seen as a period of purification and renewal for Mercury. It is sort of like a ‘seeding’ period in which any of the developments or realizations we receive can affect the way we apply our minds over the coming months. Pay attention to what is happening in your life on April 1st and reflect on what you need to integrate or change based on what has transpired.

Full Moon And Mercury In Aspect With The Lunar Nodes

The Sun/Mercury in Aries, and Moon in Libra, are in aspect with the Nodes of the Moon which sort of echo similar themes. The North Node is in Leo, which similarly to Aries, is more self-oriented and has leadership qualities. As a Fire sign, both are about passion, inspiration, courage, and confidence. The South Node in Aquarius is relationship oriented, like Libra, and as an Air sign it is intellectual and social.

Considering Mercury is Retrograde in Aries, combined with the North Node being in Leo, we are in a time of evolutionary growth in how we incorporate the Fire element and self-interests. If we are overly considerate of our relationships and social dynamics, this can be getting in the way of our individual needs. If we overthink things instead of taking the lead and being bold with what inspires us, this can also hold us back. However, ultimately this is about reconfiguring a new balance in terms of how we incorporate these two sides.

Mars Conjunct Saturn In The Mix With Mercury And The Full Moon

This Full Moon is in a separating T-square aspect with a Mars-Saturn conjunction which will be strongest on April 2nd, yet its energy will continue to play out over the following days with Mercury triggering it in a square of its own. This Moon cycle was also initiated by a New Moon aligned with Chiron in a square with Mars which is the ruler of Aries.

Ultimately all of this combined with Mercury Retrograde in Aries points to issues related to how we express Aries and Mars energy negatively. This could look different for everybody. We may have to address anger or aggression issues, or challenges in how we assert ourselves individually and in our relationships. Other themes solely associated with Mars could be about wounds around masculine energy, sexuality, and our desires.

Mars conjunct Saturn in Capricorn on its own can be a great time for any sort of disciplined, committed, or concentrated effort towards responsibilities, ambitions, career, or applying structure in some area of our lives. However this, or lack of it, may be the source of any problems that come up at this time.

It may also be a period of initiating a commitment related to the Mars/Aries themes mentioned above. However, we may also need to get real about the way we assert ourselves, or don’t assert ourselves enough, and therefore could potentially face struggles and obstacles.

Mercury retrograde will be squaring both Mars and Saturn from April 3rd-5th during which time our reflections or circumstances may express the potentials mentioned above. In some cases, we may revisit issues from the past associated with these themes. At worst, this can manifest as verbal conflicts as well as challenges, limitations, and restrictions to our thinking or communicative efforts.

Venus Entering Taurus And Moving Towards A Trine With Saturn

The ruler of this Full Moon, Venus, will be entering Taurus which is the other sign that it rules and is very comfortable in. Generally speaking, Venus in this sign is a time in which we approach relationships, love, and our overall social lives in a practical manner and potentially somehow based on what it is that we value. It is also a period in which we seek out quality in what brings us pleasure in our lives.

Venus will also be moving towards a trine with Saturn which will be exact a week later on April 6th-7th. After all of the potentially troubling and challenging potentials of the Mars and Saturn aspects mentioned, this helps to bring stabilization to Venus ruled areas of relationships, values, money, or even anything to do with aesthetics.

Things To Consider At This Time

In what ways do you need to strike a balance between consideration and action? How can you approach your relationships and partnerships in a way in which your own needs are met as well? In what ways do you need to get real about where you stand with your relations? What are your limitations in these areas and how can you put more effort into improving them? Perhaps you make may need to end or make major changes in a relationship or partnership?

How can you be more responsible in the way you assert yourself with others and/or vice versa? Do you or someone else in your life have issues around expressing anger or aggression? If so, maybe you should consider the root of these issues and look into ways to help release the tension, stress, and wounds that is causing this.

These are just some examples of what can be coming up for you at this time. If you wish to do any sort of intentional release from something in your life, it is best to do so anytime after the Moon starts to wane following the exact moment of the Full Moon. The waning Moon lasts for two weeks following this period until the next New Moon.

However, keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde and that it is not always the best time to make big decisions unless it is something that you have been revisiting from the past or if you truly feel that you need to. As mentioned, you may get more clarity around certain areas in your life on April 1st which could be helpful in how you proceed over the coming weeks.
